COEP BTech Eligibility & Highlights 2026
COEP BTech course is a four-year course, offered in full-time mode. BTech at COEP is offered in several specialisations including BTech in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Engineering, etc.
COEP BTech admission is decided on entrance-basis. Candidates are selected based on their performance in national-level exams such as JEE Main or MHT-CET. These exams are accepted for admissions into all COEP braches of BTech. In addition to the aforementioned exams, candidates must also fulfil the eligibility criteria for admissions as tabulated below:

Yes, the College of Engineering Pune (COEP) accepts the scorecard of JEE-Main. But the majority of seats are sanctioned for Maharashtra domicile students and are filled through MHT-CET. An additional 25% seats are provided for All India Candidates who are admitted through the JEE-Main score. Apart from UG courses like BTech the College of Engineering Pune also provides a wide range of PG and doctoral courses which have their own specified entrance exams through which students can enroll in the desired course.

COEP BTech Admission Dates 2026
COEP BTech admission dates are inline with its accepted entrance exams. The candidates are chosen based on their results in the JEE Mains or the MH-CET scores. The COEP BTech deadline is scheduled after the results of the aforementioned exams have been announced.
The JEE Main dates and MAH CET dates are usually scheduled between the months of Novemeber and April. Further, candidates must also watch out for the JoSAA counselling dates for final admission. The JoSAA 2024 Round 2 cutoff was released on June 28, 2024. The authority announced the JoSAA 2024 Round 2 seat allotment result on June 27, 2024.

COEP BTech Cutoff 2026
COEP BTech cutoff will be determined based on several factos including maximum and minimum scores, total seat intake and number of applicants. Candidates who score above the set cutoff limit will be alloted seats during the counseling rounds.
The JoSAA Round 2 Seat Allotment will be shown for General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS and PWD categories after the end of the JEE Mains entrance exam. The table below shows the COEP cutoff for BTech admissions:
COEP BTech Curriculum
COEP BTech curriculum has a duration of four years that covers eight semesters. The COEP courses follow the CBSC (Choice Based Credit System) to track student's progress and determine when he/she has met study requirements. The COEP BTech syllabus covers multiple subjects which include both common subjects in the beginning semesters and specialisation specific subjects.

COEP BTech seats are alloted during the counseling rounds. The candidates are alloted seats based on their scores in the JEE Mains or the MH-CET exam during the counseling rounds. BTech in Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering seat intake 150 seats each. Currently, the rules and policies regarding COEP BTech seat reservations are unknown.

Yes, BTech is provided by the College of Engineering Pune (COEP) under various disciplines. Some of the popular BTech disciplines of COEP are Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, etc.
COEP admission criteria for BTech comprises three main steps.
- First, the candidate has to take MHT-CET which is conducted by the Government of Maharashtra under DTE or the candidate has to take JEE-Main.

JEE Main 2025 exam date for Session 1 was January 22 to January 31, 2025, and Session was conducted from April 2 to April 9, 2025. NTA (National Testing Agency) announced the JEE Main 2025 exam date. The seat allotment results for Round 4 to Round 6 begain in July 2025.
The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) released the round 2 seat allotment result on June 27, 2024. Registered candidates can check JoSAA seat allotment result 2024 for round 2 online at the official website: josaa.nic. The JoSAA counselling cut-off for round 2 was released on June 28, 2024. As per the schedule, the fee payment, document verification as well as response to queries for JoSAA counselling round 2 was conducted from June 27 to July 1, 2024.
National Institute of Technology (NITs) are most prestigious engineering college after Indian Institute of Technology (IIT). Although COEP is also a top government engineering college that has become an autonomous university with a good education quality and placement, it can’t be compared with NIT in any parameters.
Hence, NIT is better than COEP, Pune, for candidates willing to take admission in the Computer Engineering branch.
