Good faculty, decent placements, and an active department culture.
Placements: Around 70% of students get placed every year. The highest package is approximately 12 LPA, and the lowest is 3.5 LPA. The average package is approximately 6 LPA. The top recruiters include Siemens, L and T, Bosch, TCS, Accenture, etc. Many students get internships in core companies and also in software companies like Infosys and Wipro.
Infrastructure: My department in CET has decent infrastructure with good classrooms, labs, and Wi-Fi facility. The department library is well-maintained. There are government hostels for both boys and girls, called MH and LH respectively, which offer basic amenities. The mess food is above average. The medical facilities are available on campus, and there is a playground, basketball court, indoor facility, and an open gym for recreational activities.
Faculty: Faculty members in my department are brilliant, many with PhDs. The curriculum is a mix of core electrical subjects. The semester exams are moderately tough, especially in mathematics. Still, the pass percentage remains good for those who are consistent with their studies and internal assessments.
Other: I chose EEE at CET because of its balanced blend of core electrical knowledge. CET provides a strong alumni network and a variety of career paths. CET has a vibrant campus life. Sargam Arts Fest and Disha-Drishti are massive cultural celebrations full of music, dance, and technology. The department fest of EEE is Tesla. It builds strong bonding and showcases amazing talents.

It is really good because of the fee structure.
Placements: Almost 90% of students are placed in software and core. The average LPA is around 5-6 LPA. Major recruiters are L&T, Oracle, etc. Almost 75% of students get internships, and the top roles offered are electrical engineer, software engineer, etc. The college has good placement records.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good, and facilities offered to the department are worthy. The campus provides free Wi-Fi. Facilities in the hostel are really helpful to students. Facilities for sports are good, and there is a gym in our college which is free.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are good. They help students a lot. Faculty members are highly qualified and educated. The series of our college exams may be seen as tough. The toughness of exams varies from moderate to difficult. The department's faculty members are really strict.
Other: I choose this course because I really want to be an electrical engineer. The course is really hard to study. The first year of the college is good. There are fests like Dwani, Drishti, and Mashi.

Review of the College of Engineering, Trivandrum.
Placements: Students become eligible for campus placements in their 4th year, that is during the 7th semester. Amazon, Wipro, Infosys, Texas Instruments, Schneider Electric, Tata Elxsi, Shobha Construction, etc., are the top recruiters. Over 2000 placement offers are made from more than 200 companies. The highest package is 33 LPA, and the average is 6-7 LPA.
Infrastructure: There is a new block and an old block in the ladies hostel. In which, the old block is not so maintained and in a poor condition for living. The new block is well facilitated. The mess is well-maintained and neat. The food quality is good. Allotment to LH is based on the annual income of the student and the distance from home to college. It is a bit hard to get LH from the first day of college. We need to find a private hostel or PG until they are allotted to LH.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members teach fantastically and are really cool and easygoing. Some are strict in giving internal marks. They follow the internals as prescribed by KTU, and do not show any partiality. In the new 2024 scheme, the marking scheme has changed. Now, the marks are out of 100. 40 marks for the internals and 60 for the written exam. The pass mark for the written exam is 24, and students must get 50 out of 100 overall to pass the exam.
Other: The technical fests for each department are there, such as Tesla for EEE, Depth Spectra for ECE, Depth Pantheon for Civil Engineering, and Depth Aaram for Architecture, etc. There are also cultural fests, like Dhwani, Drishti, and Odisha. The average range, and accessibility of books, and journals available in the library. There is great support and wide opportunities for sports and extracurricular activities. Student-friendly clubs, both technical and non-technical are there.

Overall I can say CET is the best Engineering college in Kerala.
Placements: College of Engineering, Trivandrum, has the best placement list in Kerala. Each and every department has core company placements. Comparatively, the Computer Science department has higher package offers. The highest placement in the academic year 2023 is 15 LPA. The average package is around 5 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college has high-standard laboratory facilities and also provides free Wi-Fi connections in every department. It also has good space for physical fitness activities, such as a gym, volleyball court, basketball court, and cricket ground. The college hostel also provides good food.
Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified; that is, they have Ph.D. degrees. The course curriculum is also relevant. Semester exams also have high-standard question papers. Teachers are very helpful in academics. The college has a high pass rate, which is around 97 percent.
Other: I choose Electrical engineer. Computer Science department have High placement offers.

This is the best college to get under the KEAM examination, and the college is good for its campus.
Placements: The placements here are pretty good. The average package is about 3 to 4 lakhs. The highest package was about 44 lakhs. Lots of companies come for placement, and the main companies are Texas Instruments, Royal Enfield, etc. We have strong support from our alumni association, so they help us to get placements.
Infrastructure: Faculty members are top class and they have a lot of experience in the teaching field. We have a central library and an individual library for each department. College Hostel is good. We have our own college ground for various sports, such as football, basketball, etc.
Faculty: The teachers are very good and they help us to study and support us for our projects, etc. Our syllabus is the KTU syllabus, which is pretty much a simple syllabus, if we study daily. I think our syllabus is a bit lagging, but scoring marks in exams is simple if we put effort.
Other: Talking about campus life and value for money, Our college tuition and other fees are very low, and campus life is great. We have our technical fest Dhrishti and cultural fest Dhwani and other fests which are conducted in a good way.

Q:   Can I get into College of Engineering Trivandrum with 70% in CMAT?
A:

It might not be easy to get into the College of Engineering Trivandrum (CET) with a 70% Common Management Aptitude Test (CMAT) score because CET mainly offers undergraduate engineering and technology degrees. The CMAT is a nationally recognised admission test for management schools. Although it could indicate your ability for management studies, it has no bearing on your eligibility for CET's engineering programs.

With a CMAT score of 70%, there isn't a direct admissions route into CET's engineering programs; nevertheless, you might want to look into other choices, such management programs at CET or other universities, or getting a management degree and applying to engineering programs later.

It is imperative to acknowledge that the material supplied is broad in nature. For the most precise and current information, one should refer to the official rules and regulations of CET and other pertinent institutions.
