Best engineering college under KTU with Kerala Rank 1.
Placements: The College of Engineering provides various placement opportunities. Most students get placed, and others opt for higher studies and research. It is one of the best colleges under KTU that offers a large number of placements in Kerala. The Career Guidance and Placement Unit (CGPU) is available for any kind of help.
Infrastructure: This course, Industrial Engineering, comes under the Mechanical Engineering department. The college has a large technical library facility with more than one lakh books. Hostel facilities are available nearby. All kinds of facilities are provided. Hence, it is one of the best.
Faculty: Teachers are mainly IIT and NIT graduates. They are also good researchers and hold patents. They are really helpful. The 2024 curriculum under KTU is followed now. It consists of more relevant courses. The new curriculum focuses more on application rather than theory.
Other: This college consists of various famous fests like Dristi, Dhwani, Odisha, etc. It is one of the campuses with many fests. There are many other things to explore here.

    Good campus life at CET.
Placements: For the civil engineering branch there are relatively fewer placements. Top recruiting companies are L&T, Shobha Construction, South Indian Banks, etc. Internships also include industries like ULCCS, railway, PWD, etc. We can be part of different clubs like Indian Concrete Institute (ICI), the Indian Geotechnical Society (IGS), and the American Society of Civil Engineering ( ASCE).
Infrastructure: I am staying at the college ladies' hostel which has all the necessary facilities including a library and Wi-Fi. The quality of food is also nice compared to private hostels. Rooms are also spacious and the washrooms are also good. The ladies' hostel is well maintained by the hostel union committee of students.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are highly talented, qualified, and also PhD holders. The revised course curriculum is also very relevant as it includes miniprojects, software labs, etc. Series exams in college are relatively tougher compared to private colleges. University semester exams are moderately tough.
Other: The best thing is the exposure you get there. There are a lot of fests and events including the Freshers' Fest Odisha, the technical fest Drishti, the cultural fest Dhwani, and separate department fests.

The best college in Kerala, which has absolutely good facilities and good faculty members.
Placements: Companies like MRF and other mechanical companies often come here to recruit students, so acquiring skills will help us secure a good position in a company. Internships are also provided. With a high CGPA, we will be able to get internships in good companies.
Infrastructure: The food provided by the hostel mess is amazing. Everything in the college can be used until 9 PM. Wi-Fi and other playgrounds are well-maintained. The hostel is provided for students from any branch.
Faculty: Every faculty member will help and lead us without any hesitation. Any difficulties can be solved by advisors. The whole syllabus makes students industry-ready and also knowledgeable enough to survive in the world. They offer a better network to build our startup.
Other: I chose this branch because of my interest in the mechanical world. There are enough fests, activities, etc., that will be carried out throughout the whole year.

A great college in the heart of Kerala. It is good value for money with great facilities.
Placements: Above 75 percent of students get placed every year. Top companies like RtBrick, Schneider, TISCO, etc., visit the college. The highest package offered is 14 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 5 LPA. The average package offered is 7.6 LPA. 50 percent of students got internships in their third year and 79 percent of students got internships in their fourth year of study.
Infrastructure: All departments are equipped with Wi-Fi facilities and good computer systems that are equipped to handle the coursework easily. Departments are clean and well-maintained with some oversight every few months. Labs are well ventilated, air-conditioned, and well-equipped. The college has many seminar halls in each department and also common ones, and many of them are equipped for major guests and huge combined student lectures. Hostels accommodate a huge number. They are well-maintained and provide good food.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, but only sometimes. This is due to the amount of workload and is understandable, as there should be more allocated teachers, but the state government has failed to do so. The teaching quality is top-notch and very easily understandable. The course curriculum is relevant but slightly outdated. It makes students industry-ready and also helps with placement exams and interviews. Semester exams are moderately difficult, and any student who studies decently can do well. The pass percentage of the 24-25 batch was around 74.06 percent.

Good infrastructure, facilities, and faculty members. Good placements as of 2024 and 2025.
Placements: I am from the 2025 batch, Mechanical Engineering. I have completed my first semester here. I have communicated with a lot of seniors. As I have talked to them, from the Mechanical Engineering branch, more than 50 percent of students get placed from every batch. And for other branches like CSE and ECE, there are a good amount of placements too. The highest package is 40 LPA for the college.
Infrastructure: Good infrastructure, and all the lab facilities are available here. Course-related facilities are well provided. Most of the classrooms have Wi-Fi access. There is a central computation facility where there are a lot of computers, and it is accessible for all the students from 9 am–9:30 pm on all working days. Men’s hostel has good facilities including washing machines. Food is also provided for all the inmates.
Faculty: Faculty members are good and experienced. I would not say that about all the faculty members, but most of them are good. Sincerity is seen in most of the faculty members. The curriculum is a bit hard to catch up with but is manageable if you keep in touch with the academic side. There are two series exams, lab exams, and end semester exams. Series exams are a bit tough to make sure we have good knowledge of the subjects.
Other: I chose Mechanical Engineering because I have a good interest in machines and developments. It has a lot of practical work, and all such lab facilities are available here. I would like if the college had more technical facilities. Good events have been conducted at college at the time of fresher’s events. And I am still at my 2nd semester, and more is yet to come.

Overall, CET is very much value for money with good placements and exposure.
Placements: Almost 60–70 percent of students get placed, with the lowest package of 1 LPA and the highest of almost 44 LPA. CET is considered to have good placements. The number of placements offered for CS is the highest, followed by EEE, and then ECE. The average package of CET is around 7-7.5 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure can be considered good, though not the best. Newer buildings are coming up. Wi-Fi is good, and the college has a good library and an indoor stadium. Labs and workshops are a little old, but for the fees, the college is very much worth it. Overall, CET stands neutral in terms of infrastructure and hostel facilities.
Faculty: Faculty members have very good backgrounds. We have teachers from IIT KGP, IIT Delhi, IISc Bangalore, etc., who are well established and provide us with good exposure. However, the university KTU is not very good. Exams are easy. The curriculum is good, and the pass percentage is around 95 percent.
