Great for machines and robotics. Outstanding events, sports, diverse campus and monthly activities .

Placements: In 2023, the placement percentage at D. Y. Patil College of Engineering was 76%. The highest package offered reached 41 LPA, while the average package stood at 4.5 LPA. A total of over 270 companies visited the campus to recruit students. The top recruiters included prominent companies such as TCS, IBM, Wipro, and Infosys, among others.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure at the college is impressive. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus, ensuring seamless connectivity. Each lab is well-maintained and equipped with advanced technology and materials to support practical learning. This can be improved in many aspects and more convenient on our branch needed.

Placements: Robotics and automation is a new branch and students are the first batch of our college so there is no previous data regarding our branch but overall college placements are great. Placements cell is also taken effort. Regular training sessions for soft skills and coding skills are provided in exchange for a small fee.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good but some classrooms are very poor, and not maintained although many are tolerable, they are average. Wi-Fi is also available, library, and study room is also available for all students. Sports facilities are good. There is a ground opposite to the campus area where many sports like cricket, football, kabaddi are played and regular practice is done by our teams. I was looking for badminton facilities but it is in its beginning stage.

Faculty: Faculty members are good. Any doubt regarding any subject or topic is cleared and every student has their TG with whom they can share their problems. The curriculum is outdated. Our semester gets started late and the end-semester is on its way so the hurry for completing the syllabus can be felt, so less practicals and more concentration on theory is been given just for the exams.

Other: Many events are conducted regularly, I have not attended the fest yet but heard a lot about it. The crowd is great. Well connected through local bus and a train station near campus. The scholarship department is there, but it is ignorant. Many extracurricular activities are held, and clubs are also there. Surroundings are great, and the campus area is best for students.

Good infrastructure of the college.

Placements: Honestly, about 50% of our batch students get placed, but mostly in sales companies and for sales roles. The highest package offered is 6 LPA, the lowest is 2 LPA, and the average is 3.5 LPA. The college placement is so average.

Infrastructure: There are no proper labs for Robotics and Automation department. Wi-Fi facility are available everywhere on campus. The hostel is under construction and will be available for the 2026 batch. Classrooms and library are quite good. Overall, the infrastructure is good.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified, but when it comes to teaching experience, they should improve better. The course provides mostly theoretical knowledge. It does not make students industry-ready. The semester exams are strict in the college, but passing is not very hard.

Other: Fests and events are the best memories of the college. The campus is also best.

This Tier-2 college is decent, but better options exist.

Placements: Placements for this college are average and similar to other colleges. Few companies like Cognizant, Capgemini, and Accenture hire many students. The average package is 6 LPA. Overall, 1 student gets the highest package that ranges from 20-40 LPA.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure for the hostel is better. It is now building a new hostel which seems really good but fees would be high for that. In girl's hostel, girls don't keep hygiene, so it would be the better option to choose a room near a college or a flat.

Faculty: To be honest, faculty members are okay. Only a few of them are really good. They are supportive in exam period but some of them are not autonomous. We have to be in the good books of teachers to get good marks and be in contact with teachers to get the opportunity.

Other: Robotics and automation is a better course in this college, so I chose it. If we can learn personally and take the initiative to learn from outside, then it has a scope, or else the college does not take much initiative in this course. The crowd is not that good, and other colleges have better crowd. The college organises okay fests, and not that much fun fests. Other colleges have better fests. The energy and fun of the fest has degraded since last year.

Poor placement in 2025 in robotics and automation.

Placements: In 2025, the percentage of students placed is around 30% to 40% (robotics and automation depth). The highest package offered is around 6.75 LPA (robotics and automation depth). The average package in my course (RNA depth) ranges from 2.50 LPA to 3.50 LPA.

Infrastructure: As of May 2025, the hostel is still under construction and is not ready yet, and not all the labs are finished. The library is good. Wi-Fi is available in the classrooms, library, labs, hostel, canteen, sports room, and playing area. The quality of food is average.

Faculty: Some teachers are really helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable; they teach very well, and most of the teachers have completed their Ph.D. in their subjects. The teaching quality is also good. However, the curriculum is not entirely relevant, and the students are not yet prepared for the industry.
