Faculty members have a bad attitude.
Placements: I am in 3rd year currently in this Institute in chemical engineering. It's a good college if you are good at study or passionate about chemical engineering. Otherwise, if your dreams are different, like other than a chemical engineer, then this college will depress you.
Infrastructure: Labs are good, but many pieces of equipment are not working and have been in that condition for many years. No one takes responsibility for fixing them. The hostels are good, but it is difficult to get accommodation if your merit is low or if you are not involved in campus activities or politics.
Faculty: Faculty members are so bad. They have the worst faculty members ever. They have no interest in understanding a student's mental health. They only seem to know one thing. How to depress students, make students feel useless, and deter them from exams. They tell you to come to class on time, but they never come on time themselves.

Best college life with fewer fees.
Placements: Dr. SSBUICET Punjab University Chandigarh provides a course on BE chemical, food technology, and an integrated chemical MBA course. Around 98.5% of students get placed in chemical engineering. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 6 LPA - 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Reliance Industries, Honeywell, Jubilant Ingrevia, GAIL, Technip, ExxonMobil, IOCL, Infosys, and many more. Nearly 50-60% of students get internships in these companies only. Top roles offered are research engineer, production engineer, data analyst, and consultant.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the department is not up to the mark. Labs are well-equipped and furnished. The campus has access to 24/7 Wi-Fi. The department has a library. There is a central library named Joshi Library. It is air-conditioned. The hostel is quite nice. There is no restriction on the exit and entry of the hostel at any time. The taste and quality of the mess and canteen food is quite good. The dispensary is available on campus for medical facilities. Students have the access to the PU ground for cricket, football, and basketball. There is a gymnasium hall.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and experienced. They teach very well. The quality of their teaching is top-notch. The curriculum is quite relevant as it is made by keeping in view the demands of industries. Subjects like heat transfers, thermodynamics fluid, process, and equipment designing, etc., along with value-added courses make students industry-ready.

College is okay, placement is average, and campus life is good.
Placements: Dr. Ssb Uicet offers three courses: B.E. (chemical), B.E. (food teaching), and integrated B.E. (chemical) with MBA. The placement of my college is varying according to branch of chemical 4th year placement is approximately 90-95% placement; integrated B.E. with MBA placement is 65-75% placement; and food teaching is 45-50% placement. After COVID placement is down, the average package is INR 5.5 lac per annum.
Infrastructure: The department is located on the Panjab University campus, so the facilities and infrastructure are very good. AC Joshi Library is 24*7 available for studying. Student hostel food is good, but hostel infrastructure is not so good. The medical and sports facilities at my college are very good.
Faculty: The professor and teaching staff are very knowledgeable and good, but they do not teach properly; they focus on only research work. Guest faculty are proper teachers, and the semester exam is very hard compared to other institutions. To maintain a CGPA, students need to put in very hard work.

Our college has good placements, facilities and faculty.
Placements: Almost 80% of the eligible students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA, the lowest package is 4 LPA, and the average salary package is 5-6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are ExxonMobil, Reliance, Jubilant, Honeywell, Vectel, Bechtel, Loreal, etc. 20% of students got internships from companies like Bechtel, Honeywell, etc. Almost 50% of students get internships on their own.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average. Good Wi-Fi, labs and classrooms are available. Air-conditioned facilities are not available in classrooms. Not all the students get hostel, only 30% of the meritorious students who scored well in JEE get the hostel seats. Medical facilities are free. Sports are conducted here.
Faculty: Professors are well-qualified and they teach well. The course makes students industry-ready. Scoring good marks in internal and external exams is a bit difficult. We have to score 40% to pass. 75% attendance is mandatory to sit for exams.
Other: I have a lot of interest in the chemical branch, and it is one of the oldest courses. They should open the pilot plant of our department. The college location is awesome. This chemical department comes under Panjab University. The crowd is almost 12,000+. Meritorious students get scholarships. Cynide is our culture fest. Wi-Fi and a dispensary are available.

Our college is the best for chemical engineering.
Placements: Our batch has 87 students. The placements stats have seen an increase from last year. The placement rate was 90% before 2020, but due to corona, it went down. But now, it's increasing again, and we hope that the placements will be good in the coming years.
Infrastructure: The campus is Wi-Fi enabled. The college is situated in one of the best cities in India, Chandigarh, and it makes the college even more beautiful. The campus is lush green. The college has well-furnished classes. An auditorium and several labs are available. Mess food is of good quality, and the mess menu is revised regularly.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. Most of them have done Ph.D. and are supportive of students in research work. The course curriculum was revised recently, and it is as per the course outcome. Teaching-learning go hand-in-hand with other activities, several seminars and fests. Cyanide is a fest held here.

The oldest and the most affordable engineering college in India.
Placements: The batch size of the chemical engineering course is 90-95, out of which 60-65 are eligible for placements. Around 50 of them got placed. Before covid, there used to be 100% placements, with most of the students getting double placements, but after covid, placements hit a little bit.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is old as this college was built in 1958. The building is the same as it was in 1958 with a little bit of reconstruction and new AC lecture halls added in recent time, but otherwise, all classes are non-AC, and the benches are made up of wood. The hostel is also the same old, but it's guaranteed you will enjoy your life at the hostel and department too.
Faculty: Faculty is where this college lacks. Most of the faculty passed out from this same college only they have great knowledge, but they don't know how to transfer this knowledge to students. They still use the same old teaching methods. The new teachers are still good.
