The great Gargi College.

Placements: Our batch is from 2024 to 2027, and it's History Honours. Currently, I'm in my first year, first semester. Course has a variety of subjects of which three are core subjects and the other four are not core subjects. There are so many clubs including Hindi, English, and placement clubs.

Infrastructure: Course is average compared to other courses. We study about history. The library's seating area is not well-defined and quite congested. However, the grounds of the college are good and so tranquil sitting on the ground and studying rather than in the library. Library is not that much good.

Faculty: Faculty members are average. Many teachers help students in clearing their doubts and maintaining decorum but few aren't that much into solving the doubts and all. Teachers are knowledgeable and supportive as they help students to stay free from all doubts and do their best.

Gargi - The most peaceful and life savior environment for the beauty studying in it.

Placements: There are 72 students in my class. While the college and the history department do not provide internships, they do provide a gateway to join the UPSC and CDS, which offer good salaries approximately 1-2 Lacs and accommodations.

Infrastructure: The college provide numerous facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, libraries, etc. The college don't provide any kind of facilities, like hostel. But there is canteen in college that provides good-quality food and a field which is full of games and sports.

Faculty: The faculty and college are very knowledgeable and experienced. They try to provide us with the best content they can. The faculty members are very helpful and will always be there to help us in a positive way. The course curriculum of the college is nice and helpful.

Other: I chose the course of history honours because I want to pursue UPSC civil services in the future. Choosing history honours would be good for me in the future. The college infrastructure needs to be improved because the tables and chairs are very vintage. The college organizes many types of events, festivals, and connectivity among the students. Recently, we had Zistatva as our Diwali fest. The course of history honours also provides many extracurricular activities.

Average campus, good food.

Placements: Top roles offered in our course include Proctor, Treasurer, President, and Vice President of the Student Council. I'm a student of History Honors. Regarding the new NEP policy, a four-year graduation course is also provided, including courses that add value and provide skills. The placement percentage is approximately 60%. Internships are offered by one particular society.

Infrastructure: The college has a library, chemistry lab, and classrooms that differ in quality according to the streams. There is a spacious ground, an auditorium hall, a park, and plenty of greenery to relax and hang out in. The campus features one canteen and a Nescafé spot where you can find brownies, sandwiches, and dosa sambhar—all at pocket-friendly prices. There is a society specifically for NCC cadets, but no hostels are provided for this college.

Faculty: Teachers are friendly and approachable; however, individual perspectives may vary, so I would describe it as quite average. I've taken History Honors, and I have three teachers, along with seniors available to guide you. It's advisable to download an app to keep your lectures and notes organized and to start self-studying for better results.

Other: There are active events and participation by societies in both inter-college and college events, but the fests are somewhat overhyped.

I am really grateful to make it to Gargi College.

Placements: I hardly knew anyone who got placed, as most of the students from our department don't sit for placements. Many of them go for higher studies because just being a bachelor can't help them make a good living. But our college provides a good placement for students from commerce backgrounds. Companies like Satva have also visited our campus quite a few times.

Infrastructure: We don't have a hostel, though we have good infrastructure. Our labs are air-conditioned. The science block has an appropriate number of labs and the auditorium also has a good capacity. Our ground is also well maintained, with a proper tennis and basketball court. Our canteens are also good for proper hygienic functioning.

Faculty: The faculty is really nice. Most of our teachers are graduates of Jawaharlal Nehru University. The curriculum is also appropriate for the present time and can always help grab better career options and placements. Examinations are a bit of a problem as the syllabus is too vast.

Other: Our college conducts marvelous fests, which are really amazing. The crowd is also decent. And we get a good amount of exposure as AIIMS, IIT, LSR, nift and KNC are nearby.

It is a good college with excellent teachers.

Placements: In our college, almost 60% of students are placed. Top recruiting companies do not visit our campus. Many students get internships in personal development-related companies. Top roles offered are historian, archaeologist, and professor.

Infrastructure: The library is good. Wi-Fi is not available. Labs are well-equipped. Classrooms are not good. The hostel facility is not available. The quality of the food is good. Sports and games are available.

Faculty: Our teachers are good. They are talented and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant. It bestows students with profound knowledge. Semester exams are not difficult. The pass percentage is 60%.

Other: Overall, this college is decent but lacks opportunities.

It is the best college for students.

Placements: There are many offers for internships that are floated by the placement cell. Around 7 students got enrolled in paid internships. Placements are good in this course. Students have to work hard to get a decent job after the UG degree. We have to study 8 hours a day to get ourselves an average job.

Infrastructure: All the important facilities are available in this college. Our library is open from 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM on weekdays except for Saturday and Sunday. The library is a storehouse and all the books are available. The washroom facility is provided. Wi-Fi facility is also available. Our college does not provide hostel facilities. There are a lot of PGs and rented apartments available in the Green Park and Yusuf Sarai areas, and the average cost is Rs.15,000 per month. This college is not a part of the DU main campus. It is located in a secluded area with only one college in its neighborhood that is Kamala Nehru College.

Faculty: Our professors are very good. They are well-experienced, and all of them are having doctorate degrees. The department of history is good. Few teachers are experts in ancient, medieval, and modern history. The course curriculum does not help us in getting into the corporate sector because this course is theoretical. The difficulty level of the semester exams is average.

Other: This college is well known for its fests. There are various societies in this college. A lot of competitions are organised. Our campus is full of talented students who are academically very good. Overall, this college is very good. The campus crowd is excellent.

Placements: The placement cell of gargi college do the tremendous work and have a great network in well known recognised companies and institutions. In every company, the amount of students got their placements, internships and what more with great incentives and perks. The packages starts with thousands to Lacs ( fixed+variable) depends on the company's profile and post the student is applying for.

Infrastructure: The facilities that college provides you is begin with the auditorium, main arch, library with departmental libraries of almost every department, canteen, nescafe, ground, botanical garden, sacred garden, 3 blocks of classes- commerce, Science, humanities. Also, the gargi college is affiliated with grade A via NAAC in Science field. Hence, the college don't have a hostel facility. It also have a Wi-Fi facility with high tech computers lab.

Faculty: The faculty of history department is great knowledge people where almost each faculty holds a Ph.D. with their name. All of them consists recognition outside the college. They taught you the syllabus worth contemporary history and socio- political spheres. If a students have that potential and capability to carry forward the history with them they can definitely get the admin in this college. However the pass CGPA of clearing the semester is 5.

Review of Gargi College, University of Delhi.

Placements: Almost 50% of the students got placements through this college. It is a very good experience. Top companies recruit people from science and commerce backgrounds mostly. For arts background, there were many other opportunities. Our placement department does a great job and puts effort.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is amazing. Seating facilities and furnishings are good. Library has all sorts of books related to the subject and it is very helpful during exams. Canteen food is hygienic and delicious. Almost every type of food is available be it Chinese, Punjabi, etc.

Faculty: Teachers were very helpful and knowledgeable with strong communication skills. They were disciplined and professional. We have highly qualified teachers with Ph.D. degrees. They made it easy for us to crack the exams. They are patient and make learning fun. The pass percentage is 40%.

Other: Fest is the famous thing in our college. We enjoy it a lot, and there are too many extracurricular activities to choose from for a better future.

Interested candidates have to register online with required information. Non-refundable online registration fee is a mandate without which candidate’s application would not be considered for further processing.
