Placements, faculty, and infrastructure are good.
Placements: In my course, 20% of students are placed. The average package in my course is 20 LPA. Companies recruiting are Deloitte. Students have the opportunity to research technology, finance, and government services. They can work under professors to research, like writing research papers.
Infrastructure: The hostel is really good, and the guards are good. The security at the girls' hostel is strict and too good. We have air-conditioned rooms with sharing. The rooms are ventilated, and the infrastructure is very good. There is a common entry, and an oven and induction are there.
Faculty: Faculty members of my course are really good. Some professors are Ph.D. qualified and very knowledgeable and helpful. The teaching quality is too good. In the first semester, we faced some difficulties because we didn’t know how to study, how the exams were conducted, and the level of difficulty of exams.
Other: I chose this because I have an interest in earth sciences, particularly how minerals and rocks are formed. The fest of the Geology department is very good.

Not good placements, but best for research.
Placements: The availability of placement opportunities in B.Sc. (hons) geology is limited due to the requirement of a Masters degree for positions in various private companies involved in mining, oil refining, and construction. Consequently, the likelihood of securing placements is reduced..
Infrastructure: Geology hons classes are conducted in both the college and the department, boasting excellent infrastructure and a wide range of facilities. The canteen and mess at the college offer food of exceptional quality, surpassing expectations. Additionally, the expansive grounds cater to various sports preferences, excluding swimming.
Faculty: The teachers are extremely supportive, highly skilled, and possess a very amiable demeanor. Each of them excels in their respective fields. The curriculum has been revised in accordance with the NEP 2020, incorporating courses such as SEC, VAC, and AEC. The semester exams are not excessively challenging, and achieving a CGPA of 4 is attainable.

Shining Star at Hansraj College: The Department of Geology.
Placements: In my course, there were approximately 45 to 55 students and there was no college placement for my course. Even after doing our masters, we had to roam like cattle, unemployed and jobless. Still, we can do government exam preparation like GSI conducted by the UPSC and we have options to go in ONGC, Ph.D., and some other kinds of stuff. 1 year of dissertation was compulsory to do.
Infrastructure: Washrooms of the department are very hygienic and no clean drinking water facility is available. The building is very old. There are no sports and games facilities available. Mess canteen is available for students. There is no AC in classrooms. Wi-Fi speed is pathetic other than this lab facility is quite decent and library is also cool.
Faculty: Faculty in terms of knowledge, guidance, information bhot achi h approachable h professors and curriculum bhe acha h, semester based exam internals and all sab consider hota h and exams bhe kaffi smoothly and ache se conduct karate h. the semester exams are not very difficult you can easily scoor 8-7 CGPA if your study 5 days a week for 1 hour, the passing percentage is 33 marks out of 100, the quality of teacher in my department is really very good.
Other: The best thing about this course is many field trips and exposure. Crowd and competition are comparatively less. Department should offer placements. Overall, it is good and fun and better than any other department.

Review of B.Sc. geology honors course at Hansraj College, University of Delhi.
Placements: In the B.Sc. graduation level, placement is very low or nil, but there are many opportunities after doing the M.Sc. in India or abroad. Top companies after M.Sc. placement after the GATE exam are ONGC, Indian Oil, and other state mining companies through the UPSC geologist exam.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is great; labs are good and have sufficient equipment and machines that are accessible to students for their research. The hostel is also at Hansraj College and is affordable in terms of the accommodation available in the city. Hansraj is the only college on the north campus that offers this course.
Faculty: Teachers are good, have great experience in the field of their studies and have a good position in the market and industry. This course includes enough practical exposure that is required in the field of geology. Field trips are also organized for better exposure.
Other: B.Sc. is a very underrated course at Delhi University, but it has a great career opportunity.

Overall, our college is very nice.
Placements: Our college conducts placement drives annually. An internship fair was organised in which reputed MNCs and government-run companies visited our campus for placements. They were so many opportunities for students if they put in some effort on their own. The overall placements were good.
Infrastructure: In our college, classrooms were nice and well equipped with facilities for students. The infrastructure of our college provided academics, ground, hostels, canteen, gym, library, auditorium, and shooting range. There was a medical room, a common room for girls and boys, an indoor badminton court, and a TT room.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college were good enough but not up to the mark. They were well qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was good as practicals were conducted regularly every week. There were field trips for the practical knowledge of the course. There were different activities being organised from time to time.
Other: There were so many courses offered in our college. All were good and had opportunities in the future. Fests were organised annually and departmental fests were also conducted. The campus crowd was very nice. It was a very nice atmosphere for the youth. It gave me a very happy life on campus.

With general category, 88.4% won’t help you to get in Hansraj. But if you have reservations then you might have a chance. https://www.shiksha.com/humanities-social-sciences/articles/du-admissions-2017-cutoffs-declared-blogId-14571
