Excellent for manufacturing engineering.

Placements: We were 37 students out of that 9 were placed in campus recruitment in companies like Exide Industries, MECL, Private universities. And rest got Ph.D. in old iits like IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras and oit kharagpur. One thing is sure after this course you get easily Ph.D. seats in old iits and also you will get teaching job in private universities.

Infrastructure: Campus area is 296 acre but it utilization percentage is 100%. All students, teaching and non teaching staff can stay inside campus in respective hostels, Flat and quarters. Lab facility is quite good. You will get all machines equipments related to your projects.

Faculty: All faculty is Ph.D. and some are post docc. With good experience. Only no. Of faculty is less in terms of per student. Course curriculum id related to industries based and will give dept. Knowledge of manufacturing. Here most of the faculty is Odia and Bengali. Course content is mostly related to advance manufacturing.

For Sponsored Candidates: 1. A candidate working in an academic institution/PSU/Govt. R&D organizations/Govt. recognized private R&D organizations /industry is considered as a sponsored candidate. Such a candidate must be sponsored by his/her employer and must have been in employment with the sponsoring organization for at least 2 years at the time of admission. 2. For sponsored candidates having a Bachelors's degree from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) having a CGPA of 8.0 or above, the requirement of GATE/NET is waived off. A candidate is required to submit a medical certificate signed by the chief medical officer (CMO) or the equivalent of a government hospital.
