Review of Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati.

Placements: In our course, around 40% of students are placed in different sectors mostly in software. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA from Uber. The average salary package offered ranges from 7 LPA - 8 LPA. But there are not many offers, and companies like Bajaj, Mercedes Benz, Boeing Tata Steel, etc., came for the core profiles. The top roles are coding profiles and the banking sector.

Infrastructure: As expected from an IIT, the facilities are excellent. Students get to a place where everything is available. Laboratories and other equipment are well maintained. But the hostels are old and need some renovations. Food is good but south Indians need to struggle to get adjusted to the menu. It has very good sports and games facilities, and inter-IIT sports are the key to watch.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and they even provide personal numbers to have communication with students, and make them feel at home. The curriculum is good but it does not directly make students industry-ready. For that, students need to do some sort of internships that approaches the college. If students follow the classes regularly getting a 9 SPI should not be a problem.

Other: Fests here are techniche-the technical fest of IITG and the annual fest is Alcheringa. I was always interested in the science behind things and how they work and the manufacturing process. So I opted for this course. The most beautiful and scenic Institute in India is IIT Guwahati. I am hapy to be a student of the institute. The stipend for M.Tech students is delayed. Students did not get the 1st-semester stipend till now.
