IIT Gandhinagar Admission 2026 FAQs
For 2024, cut off was 7742 for General category candidates in All India quota for B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering in IIT Gandhinagar. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 15791 was the closing rank. B.Tech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.
As per the official sources, the total tuition fee for BTech is INR 8 lakh. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change.
In order to check out the latest and exact fee break-up students are advised to visit the official website or reach out to the admission office for details. In addition to the tuition fee, however, stduents are also required to pay the JEE Main and JEE Advanced application charges.

As per information gathered from the official JOSAA website, i.e. josaa.admissions.nic.in/ the total seats for the four-year BTech programme at IIT Gandhinagar are 420. This intake is inclusive of the Gender Neutral and Female-only (including Supernumerary) pools and is inclusive of all student categories, such as Open, Open-PwD, GEN-EWS, GEN-EWS-PwD, SC, SC-PWD, ST and ST-PWD, among others.
Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For General category under All India, opening rank was 9339 and closing rank was 10234. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 17386 and 17839. Admission to B.Tech. in Civil Engineering in IIT Gandhinagar is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE Advanced. Admissions to PhD at IIT Gandhinagar generally opens up toward the beginning and end of each academic year.
