IIT Madras BA Eligibility & Highlights 2025
IIT Madras BA is a full-time course with a duration of four years. This course is offered across seven specialisations. The specialisations include BSc in Fashion Design, BSc in Forensic Science, BSc in Cardiovascular Technology, BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics, etc.
Candidates applying for BSc at APG Shimla should clear the university's eligibility criteria. Candidates with a minimum aggregate of 50% in Class 12 are eligible for admission to the institute. Admission into the BSc programme takes place based on the merit secured in Class 12 exams.

IIT Madras BA Placements 2024
According to media reports, 1,091 students were placed in phase I and phase II of 2023-24 placements. More than 80% of BTech/ Dual Degree and 75% of Master degree students were placed till April 30, 2024. In addition to this, out of 300 PPOs offered 235 were accepted. The total count of participatiing companies stood at 256. Furthermore, 44 international offers were made. The IIT Madras average package and median package for 2024 batch stood at INR 22 LPA and INR 19.60 LPA, respectively. The majority of students (40%) placed during IIT Madras placements 2024 received job roles in Core sector, followed by 20% offers in Software sector.

No—if you scored 44 when the cutoff is 45 in JEE Main, you would not qualify for JEE Advanced. Without qualifying JEE Advanced, admission to Indian Institute of Technology Madras is not possible, since IITs admit students only through that route.
