BS Degree : Value for money , Pros and Cons

Faculty: Faculty is good there. English is quite boring, but other subjects are interesting and the lectures are interesting too. The program is very structured with weekly assignments and quizzes.

Learning Experience: The course content are provided by NPTEL. The teachers are IITian, very well qualified. The challenges which comes to the way is that, as it is an online degree. It sometimes get boring, so you have to take care of it.

I'm dissatisfied with the aerospace, but it has good campus life, challenges, and lessons for life.

Faculty: Some faculty members are good, while others are not as effective. Course curriculum is well-organized and student-friendly, with manageable pressure and minimal uneasiness. Faculty can be inconsistent, sometimes, they are good, and at other times, it may be difficult to keep up with them. Difficulty level increases with each semester, making it more challenging.

Our college has an excellent research focus, great campus life, and decent infrastructure.

Faculty: All professors in our department are PhDs. While some are good at teaching, most of them are decent at best but they are backed by good research experience. The quality of the teaching is unfortunately also affected by the outdated courses which doesn't make the aerospace curriculum industry relevant. Students will have to do research under professors and publish papers to be eligible for good post-graduate opportunities. Coming to the exams, following what is taught in the class is usually suff...

Review of IIT Madras - Indian Institute of Technology.

Faculty: Teachers are very friendly with students. They even give us their hands-on working projects for the sake of students, which is very useful in internship and placement times. In the course curriculum, we have hands-on experience in everything we do, projects we do on it, and presentations. We have 2 quizzes and 1 end-semester basic. Sometimes, it depends on the professors. The pass percentage is 35%.

IIT Madras is the best institute for researchers.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, knowledgeable, and qualified. IIT Madras curriculum is best. It makes students ready for industry. Semester exams are very easy if we just understand and analyse courses of that particular semester. There are some pass or fail courses.

Great infrastructure, crowd, and pros.

Faculty: Professors are very passionate and have been in foreign universities for Ph.D.s and research work. Some professors help students a lot for their professional growth and mental well-being. The course curriculum is going to change for the 2028 batch to make students industry-ready. The difficulty of the semester depends on the courses and professors. In a semester, you may have some difficult courses where you have to attend compulsory and some are very hill. The pass percentage falls around 85-95...

Exploring excellence: Academic and innovation frontiers of IIT Madras.

Faculty: The student-to-faculty ratio is 1:10. The EE department has the highest number of faculty members in the institute and the most funded for research and innovation. Almost all professors in EE, have done their master's or PhD from the USA. The course curriculum is revised periodically, but even though there is a gap between academics and industry. Exams are tough and there is very high competition among students to get good grades.

My IIT Madras life journey.

Faculty: Faculty: Highly qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive. Curriculum: Comprehensive and industry-relevant, covering theoretical and practical aspects. Exams: Rigorous but manageable; pass percentage ~90%. The department ensures students are well-prepared for academic and industry challenges.

Lucky to join here. Best environment to study with experience life.

Faculty: Teachers are very good and supportive, encouraging students to study and explore opportunities. The course curriculum is relevant and helps students understand both the course and potential opportunities. The pass percentage varies depending on the difficulty of the paper and the professor's assessment.

Best college both in research and opportunities. Well, best for a startup environment too.

Faculty: My course is a bit old. Currently, the trend is AI and ML, and our branch is less worth now. In the upcoming generation, metallurgy would rise in renewables POV. Yes, it covers the basics, and you have ample free time to learn coding and enjoy as well. I don't think only B.Tech is sufficient for being industry-ready. Those are pretty tough as a few professors keep open books and try to challenge students. Expect passing around 10-15%.

Excellent placements, good infrastructure, decent faculty and best campus life.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable but their teaching quality could be better. Classes can be boring, and sometimes the material is difficult to understand, requiring independent study. Semester exams are not very tough and are easy to pass with sufficient preparation. As a first-year student, I cannot comment on the curriculum's relevance.

The department of mathematics is truly amazing.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and most are involved in research. It is relevant and provides a strong research background. Exams are not too difficult but not very easy either and there are no direct questions. Pass percentage depends on class performance and marking scheme is relative.

NIRF 1 for a reason.

Faculty: Yes, the teachers are really helpful. They are qualified and very knowledgeable. They are mostly good at teaching, but some are really bad. The course curriculum is really flexible and teaches the student what they need to know about their subject. After that, it's all electives and stuff to learn and thrive. The semester exams are really easy if you study properly (not too much to stress about). Nothing like JEE. The pass percentage is relatively high.

The nature is so peaceful and nice to roam. The curriculum is becoming better semester-wise.

Faculty: Professors at IIT Madras are highly qualified, with most holding PhDs from reputed institutions globally. Semester exams are known to be challenging, reflecting the rigorous academic standards of IITs. Students are expected to have a deep understanding of concepts.
