IIT Madras MBA Eligibility & Highlights 2025
IIT Madras offers a full-time MBA course that lasts two years. The PG-level programme is offered through its Department of Management Studies (DoMS). The institute also offers a Tech MBA that lasts five years. Admission to IIT Madras courses for MBA is based on the CAT score, followed by the candidate’s performance in the PI round, conducted by the institute across five cities. However, IIT graduates who have obtained a CGPA of 8 or above and defence personnel are exempted from the CAT scores.

No—if you scored 44 when the cutoff is 45 in JEE Main, you would not qualify for JEE Advanced. Without qualifying JEE Advanced, admission to Indian Institute of Technology Madras is not possible, since IITs admit students only through that route.
However, you still have good alternatives. Lovely P

With a 98.5 percentile in JEE Main, you have a strong chance of getting into good NITs, but admission to National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli depends on your category, home state quota, branch preference, and yearly cutoff trends. For highly competitive branches like CSE at NIT Trichy
