NIRF 2024 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2024 rankings, IIT Mandi ranks #31 under the category 'Engineering'.
The GATE 2026 exam for admission to ME/MTech/PhD courses will be conducted on Feb 7, Feb 8, Feb 14, and Feb 15, 2026.
A few more updates are given below:
- The JEE Advanced 2026 application form is expected to be released in April 2026, and the examination will be conducted on May 17, 2026.
- The JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam for IIT Mandi admission to BTech, BArch, and BPlan courses will tentatively be conducted between Jan 21 and Jan 30, 2026.
- The IIT JAM 2026 admit cards can now be downloaded from the official portal for admission to the MSc course. Further, the IIT JAM exam 2026 is scheduled to be conducted on Feb 15, 2026.

Candidates aiming for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) need to meet these cutoff marks in JEE Mains to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2026.
The dates for JoSAA counselling 2026 choice filling will be announced once the result of JEE Main 2026 is declared. Candidates can fill choices only during the choice filling period. Also, candidates need to lock their choices before the last date.
Aspirants must meet the eligibility conditions as prescribed by the institute and qualifying exam conducting body. IIT Mandi shortlists students for MSc based on their scores in the IIT JAM entrance exam. Further, the shortlisted candidates are called for CCMN Counselling. At the time of counselling, seat allotment is carried out on the basis of exam score, seat intake, reservation policy, and cut-off.

For MTech, candidates need to visit the official website of GATE to register online. The application fee for male students is INR 1,700, and INR 850 for female students.
Eligible candidates who are applying directly to the official website of IIT Mandi, can pay the application fee for IIT Mandi MTech admission is INR 200 (General/EWS/OBC/OBC (NCL)/Transgender/Foreign Nationals). The application fee for Women/SC/ST/PD is INR 100.
The application fee for MS by Research/ PhD is INR 200 and INR 100 for General/ EWS/ OBC/ OBC (NCL)/ Transgender/ Foreign Nationals and Women/ SC/ ST/ PD, respectively. JEE application fee for boys is INR 1,000, INR 800 for girls, and INR 500 for SC/ST/PwD/Transgender category students. Candidates applying for MTech, need to pay GATE application fee for boys, which is INR 1,700, INR 850 for girls, and INR 850 for SC/ST/PwD category students. Only after the payment of application fees, the form is successfully submitted.
For last year, the closing rank for Integrated B.Tech. + M.Tech. in Bioengineering was 15216 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in IIT Mandi - Indian Institute of Technology.
MA fees is INR 20,000. Candidates opting for hostel facilities will have to pay charges up to INR 88,000. This fee is calculated as per the first year/semester fees and hence the actual fee may vary.

Every year, NTA conducts the JEE Main entrance exam for the selection of eligible candidates in IIT, NIT and IIITs. The admission process for JEE Main 2026 (session 1) registrations has been completed. JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam will be held from January 21 to 30, and session 2 will be held from April 2 to 9. IISc Bangalore conducted the GATE 2024 exam on February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2024. The GATE 2024 application form was released on 24th August 2024 on the official website at gate.iisc.ac.in. The organising institute for GATE 2024 was IISc Bangalore. The exam was conducted online as a computer-based test for 29 papers. Candidates had to solve 65 questions in 180 minutes (3 hours).
