Quite a good college in terms of infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: The highest package offered was about 27 Lacs this year, and the average package for CSE this year was about 9 Lacs, and the students who got placed were about 90 percent for the computer science branch. For mechanical and ECE, the placement statistics were not that good; they were just okay.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good in first year, they teach about all the streams and practical experiments are done for each subject. You can change stream here by scoring a good CGPA. Hostels are also quite good. Common washrooms are provided for boys. There are four hostels in total.

Faculty: Personally, I didn't like the faculty that much, as most of the time I don't understand what they are teaching, and classes are boring. Curriculum is okay. Exams are held very frequently, like semester exams are held after every one month, plus making record books takes quite a lot of time.

Other: There are no events as such held by the college. It's the students who are conducting the events for every festival, but on a small scale. The scenic beauty here really feels like heaven.

Satisfied with college but not with placements.

Placements: The percentage of students placed is around 70 percent. The highest package is 28 Lacs, the average package is around 10 Lacs, and the lowest package is 3.6 Lacs. Top recruiting companies for my course are Amazon, Flipkart, Wipro, and Deloitte. Around 55% of students got internships from my course, with companies such as Legato, TCS, Edureka, Jio, etc. The top role offered for my course is AI Engineer.

Infrastructure: The college provides Wi-Fi facilities in labs, classrooms, seminar halls, and in the hostel. An ethernet facility is also provided. The library facility of the college is satisfying, and all the books required for the course are available in the library. Classrooms are good for second-year and onward, but for first-year students are not good. In the hostel, two persons get a room. The quality of hostel food is decent, and all the food options are also available in the canteen. The college has its own medical facilities and an ambulance for emergency situations. The college provides all the major games except for a cricket ground.

Faculty: All the teachers are well-qualified, and they have completed their Ph.D. from top institutes like NIT and IIT. Teaching quality is satisfying. My course curriculum is relevant and updated over the years as per requirement. Yes, it makes students industry-ready. The college offers relative grading, and semester exams are not very tough. The pass percentage is around ninety percent.

Other: I chose this course because I am interested in automation and also because AI is a trending field. The best thing about my course is they start teaching about artificial intelligence in the first year instead of just focusing on mathematics. The annual fest of the college is Solasta, which is good, and the college also organizes several events. The only problem that arises during the event is the language issue. The college has a problem regarding the mobile tower. The college also offers various scholarship schemes, which are mainly for OBC, SC, and ST categories.

Honest review of IIIT Kurnool.

Placements: The highest placement from this college till date is of 1.23 crores, Amazon Berlin, which was off-campus. Till date, the highest placement on campus is of Rs. 24 lacs. Most of the seniors from the previous year were placed well, with around 60%. Our previous recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Amazon, Edureka, Jio, Wipro, Mindtree, etc. If you need any more information about this, I strongly recommend you visit the college's placement page. Here, you will get an accurate idea about this.

Infrastructure: There are different labs for each course: Computer Science, ECE, Mech. The new buildings have been accomplished with labs that meet the requirements of today. Moreover, the campus has a good Wi-Fi connection; however, some people might have issues with the mobile network. The institute also has a central library. The buildings are all in good condition since they are newly built. There are 4 hostels: Kalam Halls of Residence, MVHR hostel, SRK Hostel, Kalpana Chawla Hall of Residence for Girls. In hostels, you have every necessary facility: water cooler, TV room/common room, LAN, etc. B.Ed and table are provided, but you need to get your own mattress. There is a bit of a shortage of water during the summers, owing to the low water table. However, this is also taken care of by arranging water tankers as an alternative. There is a dining hall, Akshaya Dining Hall: one part is for girls and three parts are for boys.

Faculty: Courses here are designed in such a way that they meet the students' requirements. Recently, there was a change in the course structure for the upcoming batches enrolling in a program. To be neutral on both sides, while reviewing the new structure, I felt there were many subjects included, particularly for the CSE and AI branches, which were previously not taught here but were of utmost importance considering the current IT industry's requirements, which I really appreciate. However, some of the tough courses were all added in the same semester, which I feel might burden the person. If we look at the overall structure of the course, then I think it is very good, and ultimately it depends on the person how they work out things in their favor. Coming to the qualification of the faculty, almost every teacher has a Ph.D. degree. There are many teachers who teach excellently. I remember there was this teacher of ours who used to teach Probability and Statistics; he was just fabulous at his job. He made things seem so simple that almost even the weak students managed to pass. He was strict, though, but nailed at his job. There is no such thing as a pass percentage since it is relatively grading. You just give your best. Coming to the difficulty of the semester exams, it totally depends upon your course instructor and what level he sets.

Other: Factors that I considered while taking this college via JOSAA/CSAB counseling were: 1. It is one of the 5 IIITs which was initially established by the Government of India under the IIIT ACT. 2. Back in 2021, when we joined this college, there were not many things or facilities available in the initial campus, but now when I look back, we have come a long way, and there are many excellent facilities available at our campus. 3. It is closer to Hyderabad and Bengaluru, which are the IT hubs, so many opportunities may knock at your door. 4. Since it is a fully funded Central Government college, the fees are much less as compared to the other IIITs, which run in PPP (Public Private Mode). 5. Also, since it is a Central Government college, the facilities provided here will be of much better quality compared to the other State or Private Industries. The campus life is good, but I won't say that it is as perfect as the IITs. It's a pretty nice place since we are on a roll, and many new things are expected to start, which will definitely enhance the campus life scale that a student uses. As of now, we have: 1. Food corners (Delhi Wala Chaat) 2. A supermarket shop, where you can get almost everyday necessities. 3. There is one sports arena, which has many sports facilities like a box cricket ground, basketball, kabaddi ground, badminton court, etc. 4. A gym for fitness enthusiasts. 5. Clubs such as GDSC, Sahityas Club (for people who love writing and recruiting), Coding Club, Data Works Club, Photography Club, Dance Club, Astronomy Club. Also, the institute has its annual cultural fest, Solasta, in which other college students also participate, and trust me when I say this, it was fun.

Good infrastructure of college but lacking in placements and unwanted rules.

Placements: Fifty-nine percent of students were placed. The highest package was 32.5 lacs per annum. The average package was 8.2 lacs per annum. Top recruiters are Capgemini, Flipkart, Google, Mahindra and Mahindra, Infosys, TCS, Deltx, Zydus, GATE Corpus, Solar, Maq Software, and Goal 10x.

Infrastructure: A central library is available. Many labs are available, like an artificial intelligence and data science lab, an Internet of Things lab, a drones lab, a data network lab, ECE labs, and a central workshop. The food was the worst in the college. There are good medical facilities and average sports facilities. Wi-Fi is available in classrooms also.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and qualified. Courses are okay but need improvement in some things. Maximum students will pass the semester; there is no need to worry. The process is that there is one midterm exam and one semester exam. The semester exam is worth 50 marks, the midterm 30, and internals 20.

Other: Presently, there is demand in artificial intelligence and data science, so I opted for this course. The rules are the worst in the college, as it has the environment of an intermediate college; it doesn't feel like a B.Tech college. Fests are going on nowadays. Scholarship facilities are also available.
