IET-DAVV, a college to go for or not?
Placements: Institute of Engineering and Technology offers placements for students at large numbers. The highest package till date is 57 LPA. Average package per annum is 7 LPA. The companies like Accenture, Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, LTI. Around 200 students got offered in the college placements.
Infrastructure: Institute of Engineering and Technology offers various facilities for the students including hostels, libraries, IT center, and incubation center. The hostel is average, not that good, and the mess too. Davv also has a gymnasium and outdoor sports facilities for students.
Faculty: The faculty members are well qualified with masters and Ph.D. degrees. There are lots of visiting faculty members in the college for students. The faculty members to student ratio is 1:80. The exam curriculum is semester-wise, with 3 mid-sem tests out of which the best 2 are considered for final evaluation with the end-semester exam.

Review of Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: Our college provides many placements for our course, but it depends on students' communication skills. Top recruiting companies are ZS, Nuclei, etc. The salary package offered ranges between 5 LPA and 15 LPA. Top roles offered are associate, etc.
Infrastructure: The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, but you have to register yourself to access the network. Classrooms are spacious to accommodate all students. Hostels are average. Restrooms are clean.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, helpful, and very knowledgeable. Some of them are at their retirement age and still teach us. The course curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are difficult.
Other: I opted for this course and college because of the JEE marks and is near my hometown. The best thing about this course is that you get to realise that it is the only branch that is very versatile, different, and more creative than other branches. Students have more open opportunities to pursue government jobs.

Review of Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Placements: Roles like graduate engineer trainee, junior design engineer and architect are offered by companies. Companies like Appalto Electronics and Prism Johnson Limited visit our college to hire civil branch students. Companies like TCS, Wipro and Tech Mahindra visit our college to hire students who knew how to code. The average salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 2.2 LPA. Almost every student got an internship at the college. About 70% of the students get placed this year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is pretty old, but labs are well made. Our college provides civil engineering labs, computer labs, sports complex and canteen. The hostel buildings are old. A water cooler and TV is also available in the hostel. The quality of the food served in a mess is average. Overall, the infrastructure is not that good, but facilities are well provided.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful, but they are not good at teaching. Their teaching quality is average due to the lack of experience of faculty. The course curriculum is relevant, but it does not make students industry-ready. We have to do other training and internship to be good at the field. Midterms and semester exams are not that difficult. The pass percentage is 30%.
Other: I have chosen this course because I like to design. The best thing about our course is that practical knowledge is required than theoretical knowledge. Field trips and industrial training should be provided by the institute for better results. Our college organises events frequently. The campus crowd is good, and the surroundings are good.

It is the second-best engineering college of Madhya Pradesh.
Placements: Approximately 25% of the students got placed. The highest salary package offered is 4 LPA, the lowest salary package offered is 1.5 LPA and the average salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, TCS, Mahindra, Accenture, VMware and Impetus. Only 4-5% of the students got an internship in companies like TCS, Infosys, Impetus, etc. These are IT companies, and civil engineering students have less knowledge in computer languages, so they end up getting the lowest role in these companies.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is available on the whole campus, and the campus is divided into blocks for each branch. Mechanical workshop and labs for each branch are available, but they are in bad condition. The library is newly built, and it is very good. Classrooms are average. Hostel mess food is bad, and canteen is the worst. Medical facilities are above average, and sports and games provision is very bad and disappointing.
Faculty: Teachers are average as compared to NITs. They are helpful and qualified, and teaching quality is much better. Projects and assignments are given regularly and are taken seriously as their grades are taken into consideration at the end. There are separate teachers for different subjects.
Other: I have chosen this course because civil engineering was not among my top preferences, but college is very good. The best thing about this course is you can get ample time to prepare for exams like UPSC, GATE, etc. Many students are consistently securing top ranks in these examinations. Sports provision, infrastructure and placements should be improved. Our college conducts central India's largest cultural fest. Events, scholarship and extracurricular activities are good. Campus crowd majorly includes residents of Madhya Pradesh.

Life at IET is amazing, especially if you stay in the on-campus hostel.
Placements: On an average of about 95% of the students from our course got placed. The placement rate completely depends on the year of the placements. Salary packages offered are also different over the years. The highest salary package offered was 18 LPA, while the lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA. Accenture, Infosys, Capgemini, Wipro, Byju's, Mu Sigma and many more recruiters visited our campus. Data analyst and other IT roles are highly offered here.
Infrastructure: Every facility related to an engineering college is available here like Wi-Fi, LAN, labs, ground, library, etc. The hostel facility is amazing, and I will suggest you to try to stay in the hostel instead of staying around the campus. Space available here is limited.
Faculty: Teachers here are highly qualified but lack in motivating students to participate in competitions. Students of CS and IT branch always get placed and are prefered in placements compared to other branches students. The course curriculum is on par with other engineering colleges.

Q:   Are private sector BTech jobs better-paying than government jobs?
ShikshaGPT says
A:

Well, yes. The private sector BTech jobs in India offer a higher earning potential than the government sector jobs, including promotions, yearly bonuses, performance rewards, etc., along with a plethora of career options across different sectors. Having said that, there is less scope for job stability in the private sector due to market downturns.

The government sector is known for decent job security and other benefits like health insurance and retirement benefits. Rest, you can sit and decide for yourself whatever suits your interests the best. Best wishes.
