SMAT 2025 application process is underway. Candidates can register for Sports Management Admission Test (SMAT) for admission to UG anf PG management courses by filling an online application form available at the university website. Candidates who have appeared for MAH-CET-MBA/MMS and have obtained 55 percentile (Open category) and 45 percentile (Reserved Category) can seek admission to IISM without appearing in SMAT. To be eligible for the UG programme of the IISM SMAT candidates should secure 50 per cent in the Class 12 exam.
The fee amount to be paid for SMAT is INR 1,800. Candidates have to pay the fee in online mode at the time of application submission. For every attempt, candidates need to register afresh and pay the application fee. Candidates must also note that the SMAT application fee is non refundable.
SMAT application forms are released online at the IISM website. Candidates need to fill the application form by registering on the IISM website and creating a login ID. Since, the SMAT is conducted every month, the registration window also opens every month for that particular exam session. Currently, the registration window for February phase exam is open. IISM offers Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management, Master’s Degree in Sports Management, Post Graduate Programme in Sports Management, Bachelor’s of Sports Science and Master’s of Sports Science.

How to Apply for SMAT 2025?
Candidates will have to follow the below-mentioned steps to successfully register and apply for the Sports Management Admission Test 2025:
Step 1: Registration
The candidate will have to visit the official website of the International Institute of Sports Management in order to register for the SMAT 2025. On visiting the homepage of the institute, the candidate will have to click on the link ‘Register Now'.
On opening the link, the candidate will have to fill in the following details:

On registering, the candidate will receive a login ID and password on the entered email ID. The candidate will have to use the credentials to log into the website.
Step 2: Application Form Submission
The candidate will have to download the SMAT application form and fill up the details required on the form.

- Enter login credentials to log in to your account
- Fill the application form with relevant details
- Upload passport size photo and scanned signature
- Upload relevant documents
- Pay the application fee to complete the process

SMAT Application Fee 2025
Once all the details have been filled in and the documents have been uploaded in the SMAT 2025 application form, the candidate will have to pay the application fee, which is INR 1,800.

Once all the formalities are completed, the candidate will receive an application number which will be used for future purposes.
Commonly asked questions
Candidates cannot appear for multiple SMAT sessions with single registration. The exam is conducted phase wise so does the registration. If one wishes to appear for the exam more than one time then they will have to register for the session specific exam. The SMAT registration fee is INR 1800.
Yes, SMAT is a mandatory entrance test. Master of Sports Management, PGP in Sports and Wellness Management & PGP in Sports Event Management aspirants can apply with their MAH-CET scores. Such candidates will not have to appear for SMAT.
