M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2016
3.8
Satisified because of good placements in 2016, really good infrastructure and facilities.
Placements: Decent placements for all the batches. If you want to go to IT firm, it's easy because there will be a lot of IT companies like Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, etc. that come for placements. But if you want to choose other firms apart from IT, it is very tough to be placed as only a few companies will come and the number of recruitment also will be very low. Coming to the number of students placed every year, it totally depends on the IT companies' requirements every year. The highest salary is around 40K INR (product companies). The lowest salary is around 15K INR (some core companies) and the average salary is around 24K INR. The roles offered are software developer and tester in IT firms. Only around 10% people get internships. The average stipend is around 15K INR.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is great and one will love the campus for sure. Mobile phones are not allowed, so obviously, there's no Wi-Fi. They give importance to sports and players are treated well. Fees is not collected from them as they are representing the college at various levels. The food quality is good. Non-veg and veg food both are provided in different varieties throughout the week. Hostel rooms are average. Daily cleaning is done.
Faculty: Some staff members are highly knowledgeable and some are not. No special teaching methods are involved apart from placement training. The student to faculty ratio is 60:1. Industry exposure is provided but it is in their own industries. The course curriculum is only somewhat useful as the engineering syllabus is outdated.
Other: Infrastructure: 90% (very good). Teachers' skills: 70% (The teachers are highly knowledgeable but they are forced to teach how to get marks, not how to learn due to short academic time). Food: 90% (tasty but less hygienic). Placements: 75%. Course curriculum: 50%. Campus life: 60%. Campus rules: Strict and some silly rules like mobiles not allowed.

College is good, the food is great and placements are average.
Placements: The placements are not up to the mark. The highest package was around 6 lakh per annum. Only a few companies visit the college. The companies which visit every year are CTS and Infosys. They come for mass recruitment but the other companies visiting are mostly BPOs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not very good. The labs are well equipped and there is also a digital library facility. The hostel is sufficient and the food in the mess is really good. The hostel canteen facilities are also really good. The college also has good mechanical lab facilities.
Faculty: The faculty members are not very well trained and the curriculum is not well delivered. The staff-student ratio is adequately met. The staff-student rapport is really good and they behave really well with students. The pass percentage is also very high despite poorly trained staff.

Really good management failed to use the opportunity.
Placements: Around 50-60% pupils are placed, and mostly IT companies visited for an interview especially Wipro and Infosys which are the major companies. These companies take really 150-200 students for the overall college. Nowadays, I came to know that major core companies are entering the campus. I am really happy for that.
Infrastructure: Though our college is a white building, we had a good infrastructure and neat benches and tables, especially the good dining hall (mess hall). The laboratories were also good, and all were fully air-conditioned and strictly maintaining their cleanliness. At last, the hostel rooms were very good and no one can find such good rooms.
Faculty: The faculty members treat us very kindly and in a good manner. They see us as their children and never give any bad remarks. They give us a lot of assignments and it was too irritating during the college time. It was most useful while we are writing our semester. Most probably, the teach style was very good.

Other: It is a good college with all the facilities provided to the students. The worst part is that they try to act strict but it never happens. The quality of education is up to the level. Faculty teaches the students just to score marks not for the knowledge. To know about the outside world, it is the best place to join.

The worst college ever with no proper facilities and no experienced staff.
Placements: So talking about placement in biotechnology only a few companies came for placement that is not related to the core field it is just a service-based company. So the highest package is Rs.20000 per month and they were offering associate trainee and entry-level roles.
Infrastructure: There are no facilities in this college, no proper library. The worst campus you will ever see. There is no Wi-Fi in the college the only advantage is they have proper transport facilities in Chennai and around Chennai. The food that they provide is the worst and unhygienic and unhealthy.
Faculty: The faculty is helpful and very encouraging in academics but there are a few faculty members who are very bad at treating you and behave like a psycho. They will make you quit this college at some point it's an affiliated college anna University. Their correction and result will be very the worst as such.
