Our college is excellent but it requires more placements.
Placements: In perfusion technology, to be specific, placements were extremely low, not only in JSS but also in any college in India. It was the same situation when the demand was low. The attrition rates were higher than in any other medical field. The university didn't offer placements but if you were good, they would give great recommendations.
Infrastructure: Facilities in JSS were top-notch. Both physical and digital libraries, the smart gallery, the lecture rooms, the 24X7 Wi-Fi, etc., were available. The hostel was fairly good and the hostel food was delicious and healthy. However, perfusion had only one modular cardiac OT for the whole batch, which made the course-related infrastructure inadequate.
Faculty: In very stringent evaluations, exams were difficult to very difficult. Our professors were knowledgeable and experienced in their respective fields. The course curriculum was relevant and covered everything that we needed to excel in our jobs. They used perfusionists for our advanced/clinical perfusion classes, not professors in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. It had both pros and cons.
Other: Mysore has an amazing environment, pristine air, a lot of places nearby to visit, and affordable living spaces.

It provides good faculty members and infrastructure.
Placements: The course provides a lot of opportunities for the students. Students can become renowned perfusionists in multi-speciality hospitals and can either become pediatric or cardiac perfusionists. They can also choose to become a research worker in designing perfusion products.
Infrastructure: The food served is good and hygienic. In the canteen and the mess, the food is nutritional and friendly for the students. The emergency medical facility is good. Sports and games facilities are good with a great ground and basketball ground. Hostel rooms are clean and well maintained.
Faculty: The semester exams are moderate level. The pass percentage is close to 100 due to the quality of education provided by the faculty members. Enough preparation is given to ensure that the student understands the concept of the subject and shines in the exam.
Other: In this college, events and activities are conducted on a timely basis.

It is a decent college and I am satisfied with the overall standard.
Placements: Around 10 students get placed from college. Most of the pass out students got training jobs, and very few got placements as Perfusionists. Since it's a very risky profession it is rare for undergraduates to find a stable job at first. With good practice and training, we can get better placements.
Infrastructure: Our college provides a good hostel and library facilities. The food served is vegetarian and the quality of the food served is not bad. Extracurricular activities are rare. We have a pretty good library ambiance, and there is a digital and a normal library.
Faculty: Our course is of more practicals so we have to be available in the operation theatre at all times. We are required to make use of all the resources available on our own. It is not easy for the surgeons or faculty members to teach us everything hence we have to study by ourselves.
Other: I opted for B.Sc. in Perfusion Technology. The course is very risky but the thought of being able to stand guard for a person undergoing such a stressful surgery is worth the risk. I wish we had better exposure to surgeries.
