Good placements, ROI is great, below average infrastructure and campus life.
Placements: This year around 50% of the students across all the departments got placed with a total of more than 220 offers and more than 30 internships spread across over 50 companies. Around 20% of the students went for higher studies. The highest placement offer this year was from JP Morgan, Chase & Co, (INR 86LPA). The highest placements from other departments were 40+ LPA as well. The average placement offer was 7.05 LPA and median of 7 LPA. You can check everything out regarding placements on Facebook, the Training & Placement Cell, and KGEC.
Infrastructure: Don't expect much infrastructure. You will get those same old buildings with ceiling fans, don't expect ACs anywhere. There is no Wi-Fi. The library is decent, but you can't go and sit there to study. It doesn't have tables and stuff, just go and issue the books you need, that's all. The hostel is okay, you will face some seniority from the seniors if you are staying at the hostel. Especially, before you get freshers you will have some rules and regulations to follow like you will have to wear formal and stuff to go to college every day, that's all.
Faculty: Faculty members are okay, most of them convey in Bengal but there are some golden gems in between them. The curriculum is something I don't like, it's pretty outdated, compared to other colleges like JGEC. We still haven't got the new curriculum. The semester exams are fine, and not a big hassle tbh.
Other: All the courses are pretty good here. I would have asked for a better campus and infrastructure, but I can't do that. The fest here is pretty insane and is the second largest fest of B.Teach college all over West Bengal. The alumni connection is pretty good as well. You can get TFW and after you join the college, you can even get a scholarship and feel back. There is a huge sports event as well.

Overall good infrastructure and is effective.
Placements: In ECE, around 53% of students got placed last year with the highest salary package of 86 LPA in J. P. Morgan. The average salary package offered is around 5 LPA - 6 LPA by various software as well as core companies. On and off-campus placements are good, so anyone can join.
Infrastructure: Our college (KGEC) has various buildings for various departments. Facilities are also good. There is good infrastructure in our college as well as hostels. The canteen and mess facilities are good. We have good facilities. Medical facilities are also good.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good and supportive in classes, labs, and projects. They are very knowledgeable and help every student reach their goals. Attendance is very important in our department. By doing various seminars, we understood a lot of companies.
Other: The course is very similar to the electrical course and the future is very suitable. The best thing about our enjoyment is our college fest named Espektro. It is great.

The college placement and studies are good, and the fees are also less.
Placements: The maximum number of students is 45 in our batch. For IT, top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, etc. About 85% of students got internships from our college. The highest package is around Rs. 80,000, and the lowest is Rs. 15,000. They also get internship practice for 3 months.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not good enough, as there are no Wi-Fi facilities. The washrooms and classrooms are dirty. Talking about the college, the hostel food is good, but the rooms and other places are very dirty and unhygienic. The library is really good, and you can get many varieties of authors' books, which is helpful. The facilities are not as good as those for Electrical and Mechanical Engineering students. The practical room is not that good, and they don't have adequate machines and equipment for practical.
Faculty: The courses are good, and the teachers are helpful to us, and they are also qualified.
Other: Placements are really good for IT and cherished students, as for other streams, I don't know more.

The campus is really good.
Placements: The percentage of students placed from the Electrical Department is 85%. Top recruiting companies are TITAGARH Rail System Limited, TECHNO ELECTRIC & ENGINEERING CO. LTD., TDK, and WOOD. The roles offered to the students are GTE, ENGINEER, and Technician. The highest package from the course is 5 LPA, and the lowest package of this course is 2 LPA. The average package from the college is 3 LPA. 60% of students get internships in companies like TDK, CESC.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the course is good. Wi-Fi is available, and the lab infrastructure is also in good condition. There are various different equipment to perform experiments. Classes have modern projectors for lectures. There is a library with a large number of books in the collection. The facilities provided in the hostel include a canteen, mess, and indoor game equipment. The food quality in the hostel is moderate and totally hygienic.
Faculty: The teachers of the department are polite and helpful to the students. There are many teachers with excellence degrees. They publish many research papers in various magazines. The syllabus of the course is industry-integrated. The semester exams are of moderate difficulty. A student can achieve good pass marks by attending all classes taken by teachers. The pass percentage is 80%.
Other: The Electrical Department is one of the toughest branches in Engineering. We have experienced a lot of challenges in the course. The college has the second-largest fest, named ESPEKTRO. The total student strength is about 500. The poor students get the Free Ship programme. There are various clubs in the college, such as the photography club, dance club, singing club, sports club, and many more.

Really good campus life and facilities.
Placements: The percent of students from the ECE department is about 80%. In KGEC, many companies come for on-campus hiring like DXCorr, LARSEN & TOUBRO, TATA Consultancy Services, Wipro, Infosys. Top roles offered in the ECE department are Project Engineer, Graduate Trainee Engineer, FTE, System Engineer. The highest package from our course is 6 Lacs per annum, and the average package is 5 Lacs per annum, while the lowest package is 2 Lacs per annum. The percentage of students who got internships is around 70%, in DXCorr, TCS, Wipro.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the ECE department course in KGEC is very good. There are Analog Communication Lab, CAD Lab, EMFT Lab, Digital Communication Lab, and others. The infrastructure of the lab is in very good condition, and there are enough pieces of equipment for performing the experiments in our course. The classrooms are also modern, and students are provided the opportunity to use both the blackboard and the projector. The college has a library with a large number of books. Hostel infrastructure is not in good condition, and all hostels are divided year-wise. Each hostel has canteen and mess facilities, as well as indoor game equipment like TT and carrom.
Faculty: Teachers are excellent and helpful to the students. Most are Ph.D. degree holders, and they publish research papers in their respective fields. The way of their teaching is very friendly. ECE is one of the top branches in the college, and the syllabus is also industry-integrated. The semester exams are moderately tough in this college. The pass percentage is 80%.
Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in electronics. The best part of this course is that we can learn new electronic technology nowadays. The students of the college organize West Bengal's 3rd biggest college fest 'ESPEKTRO'. The campus crowd is about 500 students. The connectivity is also good, as the college is situated near Kalyani Junction railway station. Students get the facility of a Free ship programme for poor students, and the tuition fees are waived.

Kalyani Government Engineering college is an option or not.
Placements: Placements are average. The highest salary package offered off-campus in our department is 83 LPA. It is not from the core. There is a training and placement cell in our college which does great work to attract companies to our college. The average salary package offered on-campus in our department is 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: Labs are well-equipped. Some classrooms are air-conditioned. The girls' hostel is very old due to which students will have to face problems. There is no gym facility in our college.
Faculty: Our teachers are well-qualified in their fields. They are helpful. They are not going to provide support for any non-core placements or internships. Semester exams are conducted by MAKAUT as our college is under MAKAUT. Exams are not very difficult. MAKAUT provides questions from a particular part or topic. The course is relevant and makes students ready for higher studies. Practicals make students ready for industries. Faculty members are good. They have ample knowledge in their field. They are helpful in the core subjects only.
