My college is like a combo of everything from a good infrastructure to one of the best faculties.
Placements: Hello, I am Archit, pursuing B.A. (H) Economics from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi and will be graduating in 2028. The placement structure of my college is one of the best in the DU circuit, grabbing the highest package of 24.8 LPA, offering variety in 21+ courses.
Infrastructure: Since my course is B.A. (H) Economics and the classes are held in the main building of our college where commerce and arts streams classes are conducted, there is a separate block or building that is entirely for science. The facilities and room infrastructure are well maintained.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful in my course. Even on holidays or weekends, they conduct extra classes online to clear our doubts or take up extra questions. They take the curriculum at a steady speed and complete it without a hurry. They conduct weekly tests to assess our understanding of the course.
Other: I chose this course because of its growing market demand.

Review of Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi.
Placements: Top roles are in consulting and finance. For econ-specific roles, you'll have to do a master's. Overall placements in our college, specifically our course, are the best compared to other courses. Other BA or BSc students don't get placed anywhere. They focus on government jobs mainly.
Infrastructure: Basic facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and library are available, just not anything extraordinary. The mess and canteen are good, but sports and games facilities are below average compared to other colleges. However, you'll get access to DU products, so it's not that big of a problem.
Faculty: Teachers are good, and the curriculum is quantitatively rigorous you can't expect to get marks by studying just one day before exams. Semester exams are tough, but people don't fail, it's just that it's very tough to get a full score, and you'll have to study the entire semester.

I am satisfied with the faculty but not with the infrastructure
Placements: It has a good placement rate, with an average package of 7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Big 4, American Express, Keventers, etc. It has a good internship rate and job roles like fin res associate, analyst, consultant, etc. Overall, it is a good experience in regard to placements.
Infrastructure: It is not up to the mark. The rooms are not structured properly. They are not painted, and the Wi-Fi signal is also not good. The labs and canteen are affordable but not maintained properly. There is no auditorium, which is also a major drawback for our college.
Faculty: The faculty is truly nice and helpful. They are well-educated, with everyone having a Ph.D. Some of them have graduated from DU. The course subjects are also very good, with Statistics and Math's forming a major part of our course, which can help us become good analysts. Economics also helps in forming good policy decisions.

KMC is one of the top colleges of the North Campus.
Placements: The highest package offered by KMC in the year 2025–26, during the first phase of the placement session, is 26.8 LPA, the average CTC is 9.05 LPA, the number of students placed is 85+. The highest stipend is 1.75 LPA and the average stipend is 70,400.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure for my course, Economics Honours, is not up to the mark. Wi-Fi works on every floor, labs are good, and classrooms feel smaller and are mostly occupied, our classes get shifted to other classrooms or get cancelled. Mess is good and quite affordable. Sports and gym are also great.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. KMC also offers the principal internship scheme and various seminars and speaker sessions to equip us with knowledge relevant to today's fast-paced world. Semester exams are difficult.

Mediocre infrastructure, good faculty for Economics, and good exposure.
Placements: As per the placement cell, the median salary is 7 LPA. For my course, the top roles are government/civil services, policy/think tank, and occasionally, corporate/business/private sector. The highest package offered is around 27 LPA. From my course (B.A. programme), the majority of students are civil services aspirants, so they are not really looking for placements or even internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure needs urgent modelling and renovation. The library and reading hall are well-equipped and spacious, however, the Wi-Fi connection is not smooth and speedy. There are 3 eating spaces- the main canteen, the boys' hostel canteen (accessible to all), and a mini cafe with no seating (right outside Arts Block). The main canteen is mostly dimly lit and congested, and often dirty as well (I personally never go there). The hostel canteen, in my opinion, is a much better space in many aspects, except that there's less sitting space than the main canteen. The sports area has a large ground.
Faculty: The professors are well-qualified and good at their job. Most faculty I've had till now (second semester) has been great, especially for Economics. The lectures are worth attending. The course curriculum is apt for the specific subjects, being on the easy-medium side (not heavy, personally). However, the curriculum by and of itself is not sufficient of reading the students for the job market. Students have to upskill themselves and cannot rely solely on the course curriculum. The course curriculum is mostly sufficient for students on the path to government exams or civil services. The semester exams aren't hard.
Other: What I really wish to improve about my course in this college is to allow us to choose our General Electives (GE) subjects. Every semester, we are forced to study languages for GE, while the B.A. Honours students can study GE from different disciplines, such as Economics, Philosophy, etc. An imposing study of languages on B.A. Programme students is discriminatory and unfair to them, for virtually no logical reason. It forces spending of time and resources on something that is commercially and professionally of little to no value to them after they graduate.

Decent infrastructure, active societies, good canteen, clean facilities .
Placements: Around 60-80% decent enough, but could've been better. The highest is 23-24.8 LPA, the lowest is 3.5-3.8 LPA, average is 7-10.8 LPA. Top recruiters are KPMG, Deloitte, EY, DeShaw, Ernst & Young, Accenture, TresVista, PwC. Around 6% of students get internships. Top roles offered are Consulting, Analyst, Research, Finance.
Infrastructure: The classrooms and professors are good and helpful. The economics department is really good, and the professors share insightful information. The college library Wi-Fi is not so good. It is weak most of the time, but the reading hall is nice. Canteen food is good and hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and have commendable knowledge and also give us extra information. I feel the curriculum is relevant, but what I feel is they can introduce AI also to make it much more relevant. The course makes the students industry-ready, but along with skills development. Difficulty is medium to hard, and the passing percentage is 33.3%.
Other: I chose Economics Honours because it helps understand how the real world, on a macro and micro level, works from individual decisions to national and global economic policies. Economics sits at the intersection of markets, policy, finance, and society. Economics is deeply analytical and data-driven and not just theoretical. The skill set is relevant across domains and not limited to one profession.
