KMC where life takes a turn.

Placements: The placement for Economic Honours at KMC is improving gradually. Students acquire skills that make them eligible for campus placement. The placement cell actively invites reputed firms like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc., which offer roles in analysis and consultancy, with the average package ranging between 5–6 LPA and the highest around 10–12 LPA, depending on the company and position. Around 60–70% of students secure placements through the college, while some pursue higher studies as well. The course’s problem-solving and analytical thinking orientation makes students highly sought after in fields like finance, data science, consulting, and research.

Infrastructure: As I have taken B.A. Economic Honours as my undergraduate degree, our Economics department is well-equipped with plenty of amenities. It provides spacious classrooms, comfortable benches, good-quality blackboards, and projectors available in every classroom.

Faculty: As I am doing B.A. Economics Honours from Kirori Mal College, I chose this course because it helps me develop my analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, while also teaching me how to think of solutions for different problems.

I had a good life and I enjoyed it.

Placements: 80-90 students in eco (hons) that year. 6 lakh is the highest package, and 3 lakh is the lowest package. Nearly 20% of students got online internships due to Covid, but it was uncertain which companies they worked for because online meetings didn't help with remembering company names. Roles included economics advisory, etc.

Infrastructure: The college provides good labs, neat and clean facilities with projectors and quality PCs. Classrooms have nice benches, blackboards, fans, etc. The library is nearby, clean, and stocked with all kinds of books, with a quiet environment. Hostel facilities are also good for students. Food in the canteen was tasty and fresh.

Faculty: Highly qualified teachers were available to help us. They are knowledgeable and always helpful. Yes, the course curriculum is absolutely relevant, preparing students for their future. It is not too difficult to pass if you take regular classes. The SGPA was 7.838.

Other: It is the best course in DU and also helps with applications for civil services, with economics as the main subject. Parking facilities for students need improvement. Activities, events, and everything was fine.

KMC is good, but work for SRCC.

Placements: The placement at our college is decent, I mean they offer a very good set of companies in their on-campus placement. Talking about my course personally, our course has the highest placement in the college, with a package of around 20 LPA. I guess, in recent years, the graph of the placements in the top recruiting companies has gone down the lane.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure for our course is decent, as we have good classrooms and the library of our college is on 3 floors and it is quite big to study. The labs are also in good condition, with good equipment. Talking about the hostel, I don't stay in a hostel. I reside in a private PG, so I don't know about the food quality of the mess. Talking about the college canteen, it is quite affordable and they provide good food, but there is a lack of hygiene, what I think personally.

Faculty: The faculty of our college is good, I mean the professors of our course are very good. They have a great sort of knowledge, and they have good LinkedIn profiles. They can really help if you are interested. The course curriculum is very hard because I think Economics Honours is the toughest course at Delhi University. Talking about the semester exams, they are quite tough, and we have to maintain the CGPA, so that we can be eligible to sit for the placements at the end of our course.

Other: I chose this course because it offers good placements. I think the crowd and campus of the college are very good and enjoyable. But at the same time, you will miss not being at SRCC, because they have the best crowd, and you have to compete with them. Still, being very far from them, the events and fests of the college cost a good number of events throughout the session. The fest is also very good, and you can make memories there.

Economics Honors at Kirori Mal College.

Placements: I am in the 3rd year of my graduation and completed an internship in my second year, which I got through the placement cell. This proves that the placement cell of the college is very active and working. Also, many of my friends have job offers from the placement cell, but I am focusing on some entrance exams, so I am not focusing on jobs. Therefore, students seeking job opportunities can genuinely get good offers from the college placement cell.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is pretty average. We hardly have ACs in any classroom except a few. Also, the playgrounds and fields are sometimes not maintained. Wi-Fi is available in some parts of the college, but it is not up to the mark. The reading room is the only good place to study as it is fully air-conditioned and has a proper Wi-Fi connection.

Faculty: Faculty of the college is very supportive. They always try to help students in every way they can and never make us feel stuck without a solution to our problems. Exams in the college are of moderate difficulty and easy to pass.

Other: My course is Economics Honors, which is highly based on economic principles and applied mathematics. So, one has to put in a little extra effort rather than other bachelor courses. I think if the course were more practical, it would work really well.

Kirori Mal College is the best.

Placements: As I am in my final year of graduation, I can see many offers and opportunities for jobs as well internships which are very well circulated by the placement cell. Also, the placement cell used to bring many great internship opportunities in the 2nd year to help students get hands-on experience in their interested fields.

Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure of the college is very nice. Classrooms are very spacious and ventilated. Also, the library is very well-structured. The reading room is also a great plus point for studying in an air-conditioned and silent environment. The boys' common room is also a great place to chill and relax.

Faculty: Teachers of the college are very cooperative and also there to help students with all their issues. Teachers help with research, internships, career guidance, and the subjects, of course. The semester exams in the college are not that tough, but you do need to put in great effort to score well.

Final Selection
Admission is based on the marks obtained in qualifying exam. Selected list of admitted candidates would be displayed on the DU admission portal. Admission is confirmed only if online admission fee is paid with in the stipulated time. One candidate can take admission only in one course in one college at any given time.
