Placements: The placements are extremely good. The companies start coming for the campus placement from the fifth semester onwards. However, the number of companies vary in the fifth and the sixth semester. No students with backlogs can appear for the placement. The average salary that will be offered for the bachelor's degree would be Rs. 2.2 LPA to Rs. 2.5 LPA. The maximum salary offered could be Rs. 6 LPA if you are too good. A few companies offer a package of Rs. 4 LPA and above too. Most of the people who would like to get the placement would get placed provided they work on their basic aptitude and English language. The list of companies visiting the campus includes Ernst and Young, Royal Bank of Scotland, Infosys, Zifo, ITC, Hotels, Larsen and Toubro Construction, Deloitte, Accenture, Cognizant Technology Services, Tata consultancy services, IBM
and many more. However, the college is also visited by many BPO/KPO hiring organizations. The students are offered with various designations and job roles. Accenture offers the students with HR-post, and on the other hand, Larsen and Toubro Construction offers the role of a graduate commercial trainee. Infosys, RBS and various other companies offer the post of an associate.
Coming to the internships part, if you belong to BBA, BCom journalism, hospitality and tourism, geography tourism and travel management or any department. You'll easily get the internships. However, whether you'll be paid or not depends upon the organization and the individual applying. The students from the commerce background have done their internships in banks and hotels like ITC, Park Hyatt, and many known brands and also you may get placed in the organization in which you have done your internship. There is a placement cell headed by a lady. She's the head of the department of social works department. Every time you need her, she'll be there to help you. From time to time, she'll inform the departmental teachers and their respective placement representatives who are the students of the class about the companies that are visiting.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is mesmerizing. You won't see scrapers her,e but the infrastructure you see includes the basic block of buildings that are 2-storeyed. The environment is conserved in all the possible ways. One can find deer, various kinds of birds, snakes and various varieties of animals around the campus.
Built on a 365-acre land located in the posh area of the city, it is one of the oldest kinds. One can also find various aircraft hovering over the campus as there is an Indian airforce campus nearby. The college buildings are classically built and have enough ventilation and 24*7 HRS of electricity supply. There are 3 hostels for boys and 4 for girls. However, it can accommodate about 1000 students. Each student has their own room and electricity supply is always there. The hostel has its Wi-Fi facility, and the students can connect to the nearest block's Wi-Fi facility available to them. The hostel food is kind of okay, and there are days when you have special dinner served on different occasions. Moving on to the classrooms, they are good and one will always like the classroom in which they'll sit. There are many big lecture halls which could accommodate a large number of students. Every department has their own Wi-Fi connection, one can connect to them if you get to know the password. The library is one such place where one will always find their way. The library has its own Wi-Fi facility, and one needs to register himself before using it. The variety of books and a large number of computer systems are available for both the staff and the students. However, each department has its own library too. The labs are good. They were renovated a few days back, and the newly built chemistry lab is world-class having all the features of being an ideal lab. The labs available are GIS lab, physics lab, computer lab, chemistry lab, designing lab, etc. The faculty here are experienced. Most of them here are PhD holders, while a few of them are pursuing PhDs or MPhil. There are canteens available which provide food, stationery and all kinds of stuff. There are shops from where you can get your note's photocopies done. One who is interested in sports is always welcomed. However, if you are a non-hostel student, then there are very few chances of you representing the college team. The campus has a medical clinic. The doctor is available within the specified time and a nurse who can provide you with the basic first-aid facility and suggestions.
Faculty: The courses are designed well, and whenever needed they also take suggestions from the students and the staff so as to know what changes are needed to be brought. Most of the professors/teachers here are well experienced and would help you in all the possible ways. Most of the teachers are PhD holders while others are either pursuing PhDs or MPhil. The college is also visited by the guest professors from their own field of interest who guide the students in many ways. There are classes with projectors and speaker, which are the so-called smart classes. The teacher uses it whenever needed. The faculty to student ratio depends from department to department. On an average, a department may have 12-15 teachers and at max 70 students in a class. The curriculum is effective. However, if you are planning to have your higher education from some renowned college, you need to work hard.
Other: The college is well known for its cultural life. One can find people here from across the globe and the country. The college is located near the Tambaram railway station and is accessible in all possible ways be it train, bus, auto, cab or private vehicle. The college conducts many cultural fests as well as the technical fests. The departments in the college conduct their departmental functions too. One can get an exposure of conducting the functions as well as participating in the functions in which the college is invited to take part. The surrounding is good. Jungle and eco-friendly campus surround it. There are various scholarships for various classes of the students.
