NIPER JEE 2026 exam pattern is designed and implemented by the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences or NIPER exam conducting body, every year. This year MPharma entrance exam is being conducted by NIPER SAS Nagar. The pharmacy entrance exam is aimed at screening the best candidates for admission in NIPER institutes across India. The authorities have not mentioned so far when the NIPER JEE 2025 entrance exam be conducted. However, before appearing for the exam, candidates need to read and understand the NIPER JEE 2026 exam pattern to know the type and number of questions expected in the exam. NIPER JEE 2026 Exam Pattern

NIPER JEE is a national-level examination held every year for admissions into MPharm, MS (Pharm), MTech (Pharm), MBA (Pharm), and PhD (Pharmaceutical and Biological Sciences) programmes. The exam comprises 200 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying 0.5 mark. The candidates are awarded 0.5 marks for every correct answer and a 0.125 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer in the NIPER JEE exam. The duration of the NIPER JEE 2026 exam will be two hours and the language of the question paper will be English only. Candidates have to focus more on subjects such as Chemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, and Pharmaceutical analysis because more questions are asked from these subjects.

Q:   Do the NIPER JEE questions need to be answered in any specific order?
A: 

No, candidates do not need to attempt the NIPER JEE question paper in any specific order. Candidates can attempt any question or section first according to their own convenience. NIPER JEE exam is conducted once a year for taking admission into various courses i.e MBA, Mtech. 

Q:   Is there any negative marking in NIPER JEE?
A: 

Yes, there is a negative marking in the NIPER JEE 2025 exam. For every correct answer, the candidate will get 0.5 mark and for every wrong response, -0.125 mark will be deducted.

No marks will be given for Un-answered or un-attempted questions. If there will be any change in exam pattern then it will be notified in the broucher.

NIPER JEE 2026 Exam Syllabus

NIPER JEE 2026 syllabus is based on the subjects mainly studied in graduation for candidates appearing for postgraduate courses. Students appearing for the PhD examination should focus on their specialized subjects according to their chosen discipline. The important subjects under NIPER JEE syllabus are Natural Products, Stereochemistry, Pharmaceutical analysis, Biotechnology and biochemistry, Gene expression, Cloning, Chemistry, Pharmacology, Phytochemistry, and Aptitude.

NIPER JEE 2026 exam will also have an aptitude section, which will comprise the questions related to simple Mathematics, logical reasoning, and data analysis, and questions based on language (Important for MBA candidates).

Q:   What is the weightage of each section in NIPER JEE exam?

There is no specific weightage announced by the NIPER depending upon the section. The NIPER JEE question paper will have 200 questions in total and there will be no specific number of questions will be asked from any of the subjects.

Q:   What will be the duration of the NIPER JEE exam? Will extra time be granted?
A: 

The NIPER JEE exam is a 2 hour or 120 minutes long exam. No extra time is given to the candidates under any circumstances. Hence applicants are advised to complete the question paper with in the given time.

Q:   How many sections will be there in NIPER JEE exam?
A: 

The NIPER JEE 2026 exam question paper will have two sections, from which questions are asked in the exam. Section A will comprise 25% of questions from General English, Aptitude, Reasoning, and General Knowledge, etc., while Section B will comprise 75% of questions from the syllabi of B. Pharm. and PG degrees (MSc.) in the relevant fields.  

Q:   How many questions will be there in NIPER JEE exam?
A: 

There will be 200 questions in the NIPER JEE question paper. All the questions will have objective type questions. Applicants are advised to attempt the questions with utmost accuracy to increase their chances of qualifying the exam as this exam also has negative marking scheme. 

Q:   Will NIPER JEE be held via both the modes online and offline?
A: 

No, NIPER JEE is being conducted only via the online mode. The NIPER JEE 2025 exam was a computer-based test and the candidates will be allotted separate computer systems to solve the questions. For rough work purposes, the test centre provided them sheets which has to be submitted to the invigilator while leaving the exam hall.

Q:   Has the NIPER JEE exam pattern changed?

No, the NIPER JEE exam pattern has not been changed so far. There will be 200 questions in the question paper. All the questions will be objective-type questions. Though the final declaration of the exam pattern of NIPER JEE 2026 will be mentioned in the official notification, and if there is any change, then it will be mentioned.
