MCC NEET Registration 2025 is over. The NEET UG Counselling registrations for round 5 were invited from January 1 to 2, 2026 at mcc.nic.in. Candidates could use the choice filling and locking window during the same timeline. The MCC NEET Round 5 Counselling was held for BDS and BSc admissions. The MCC NEET Counselling 2025 dates of registrations for the special stray round were December 18 to 20, 2025. The NEET Special Stray Round choice filling and locking process was conducted from December 18 to 21, 2025.

Only those candidates who qualified the NEET 2025 by clearing the cutoff marks were eligible to register for the MCC NEET UG 2025 counselling. Candidates also needed to pay the registration fees along with the form.

Q:   What is the procedure to register for MCC NEET counselling?
A: 

The MCC NEET UG counselling registration process is completely online. The step by step process to apply for NEET UG counselling is as follows:

  • Visit the official website of MCC – mcc.nic.in 
  • Click on the ‘New Registration’ tab under the Candidate Activity Board section
  • Click on the New Candidate Registration tab
  • Read the instructions and click on 'I Agree' check box
  • Enter the mandatory details such as NEET UG roll number, NEET UG application number, mother’s name, date of birth and security pin
  • Click on 'Submit'
  • The credentials will be generated and sent to the registered email address
  • Complete the registration form by entering personal, educational, NEET result and other details and uploading of scanned photograph and signature
  • Pay the registration fee and take a printout of the registration confirmation page

Candidates must ensure that they have completed the registration process. Otherwise, they would not be able to proceed towards choice filling, which will ultimately result in the non allotment of seats. 

Q:   What is the mode of filling the MCC NEET counselling registration form?
A: 

The MCC NEET counselling registration form has to be filled in online mode only. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) does not provide an option to fill and submit the NEET counselling registration or application form in offline mode or send the hardcopy of the form by post. Eligible candidates will have to first register and then fill and submit the MCC NEET counselling 2025 application form, along with the payment of the application fee.

The MCC announced the schedule of the Special Stray Round and Round 5 NEET UG Counselling for MBBS, BDS and BSc seats on its website on December 17, 2025. Q:   What is the eligibility criteria to participate in the NEET counselling process?
A: 

Candidates need to fulfill the given eligibility criteria to participate in the NEET counselling for MBBS admissions-

  • Qualify NEET by obtaining the cutoff marks.
  • Register on the MCC website.
  • Submit the choices of colleges.
Q:   Is it necessary to fill up the NEET counselling choices and lock the choices to get seat allotted?
A: 

After online registration for NEET counselling process, candidates will have to fill in choice of Institutions/colleges/courses in order of their preference. Once the choice is filled in, it can be modified before locking it. During the choice locking period, it is necessary to lock the choices to get a printout of the submitted choices. If a candidate does not lock the choice submitted by him/her, it will be automatically locked as per schedule. In case they don't register and fill in choices during registration period, they will not be allotted any seat. NEET counselling registration will be available before the first three rounds of counselling, and not before the Stray Vacancy Round.

MCC NEET Counselling 2025 Eligibility Criteria

There were six rounds of the MCC NEET UG Counselling 2025 for the allocation of Undergraduate (MBBS/ BDS/ BSc Nursing) seats in participating Government Medical/ Dental/ Nursing Colleges of India under 15 per cent of All India Quota (AIQ). The NEET 2025 counselling process concluded on January 10, 2026. To participate in the MCC NEET counselling, candidates needed to fulfil the given eligibility requirements-

  • They must qualify the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET).
  • They must be registered on the official website of MCC.
  • Candidates must be at least 17 years of age.
  • All candidates, including candidates from the UT of J&K, can participate in the counselling for AIQ seats and deemed universities
  • After Round 1, candidates will be eligible for registration only if they are not allotted seats, or have resigned or upgraded the allotted seats

Q:   What is the NEET counselling registration fee?
A: 

The NEET counselling registration fee varies for different candidate categories. For the AIQ seats and Central Universities, the fee for the General category candidates is INR 1,000 and for the SC, ST, OBC and PwD category candidates, the fee is INR 500. For participating in the NEET counselling process for Deemed Universities, the registration fee for all category candidates is INR 5,000. The registration fee is non-refundable. On the other hand, candidates will have to pay the tuition fee which is refundable. The amount for the General category candidates for the AIQ seats and Central Universities is INR 10,000. For the reserved category candidates, the amount is INR 5,000. For Deemed Universities, the tuition fee to be paid by all category candidates is INR 2,00,000. Those who would not be allotted a seat after the NEET counselling process will be refunded the tuition fee after the conclusion of the counselling rounds.

Q:   What is the difference between NEET All India counselling and NEET state counselling?
A: 

NEET counselling or the NEET UG All India counselling and the NEET state counselling process are conducted for admission to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other courses. The NEET UG All India counselling is conducted by MCC for the 15 per cent AIQ seats. On the other hand, the state NEET counsellings are conducted by the State Authorities, such as the Department of Medical Education (DME) for different states and Union Territories (UTs) for the 85 per cent State Quota (SQ) seats. The timeline and processes may vary for the NEET All India counselling and the state counselling for NEET. In general, there are three to four rounds for both counselling types. In the state counselling for NEET, the authorities release a merit list for registered eligible candidates. But MCC does not release a merit list. The other steps involved in both counselling types are similar, including registration, choice filling, release of seat allotment and institute reporting.

Q:   What is the payment method of NEET UG counselling registration fee?

After filling the NEET UG counselling registration form with mandatory details, the payment gateway page will appear. Candidates can make online payment by choosing any of the modes, such as, Net Banking, Credit Card and Debit card only after
making the payment as per choice. Only after the successful payment candidate proceed for choice filling. Candidates must note that there will be no option for offline payment or through UPI. Hence, they must ensure that the mode of payment chosen by them is foolproof and there would not be any glitch in the payment process. 

Q:   What are the courses for which NEET counselling process is conducted?
A: 

The NEET counselling process conducted for the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats will be conducted primarily for the MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing courses. For the State NEET counselling rounds, the courses for admission are MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS and BHMS courses. Some of the State NEET UG Counselling authorities also conduct admission for the Allied Courses such as BPTH, BoTH, BNYS, BASLP, etc. The courses may vary from state to state, but the MBBS and BDS courses are common all across. For the 15 per cent AIQ seats, the NEET counselling for B.A.MS, BUMS and BHMS courses are conducted separately by the requisite department and authorities, which is the Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC).

Q:   I have forgotten my NEET counselling registration password. How can I retrieve it?
A: 
To retrieve the forgotten NEET counselling registration password, the candidate have to enter the information that he/she filled at the time of registration and then security question and answer have to be entered as given during New Candidate registration process. The above data submitted by the candidate will be validated with the registered candidates database. If the above entries match, then only the candidate would be permitted to enter new password to proceed further.
Q:   What is the meaning of Clear Vacancy and Virtual Vacancy for the Seat Matrix of NEET counselling?
A: 

The terms Clear Vacancy and Virtual Vacancy are related to the NEET seat matrix, which is released prior to each round of counselling. Clear Vacancy means empty or unclaimed seats at the end of the institute reporting process conducted at the end of each round. After the declaration of the seat allotment result, if a candidate exits the seat, then those seats come under the Clear Vacancy category. On the other hand, Virtual Vacancy refers to the seats which are considered to be available, if candidates allotted those seats opt for upgradation. In case their seat is not upgraded then the virtual vacancy will not be applicable anymore.

The MCC announced a total of six rounds for NEET UG Counselling 2025 process so far. The round 1, round 2, round 3, stray round and special stray round were held for MBBS, BDS, BSc and other seats. However, MCC NEET round 5 was held for BDS and BSc Nursing.

The MCC started the registration for NEET UG 2025 round 5 counselling on January 1, 2026. Candidates need to register at mcc.nic.in. The last date for round 5 registration was January 3, 2026. Choice filling deadline was the same as well.
