There are many extra facilities offered by NIT Jalandhar. Some of the facilities are:

Students Activity Centre: It is the nerve cell of all the student activities on campus. The Centre comprises a club building. gymnasium hall, open-air theatre, and hobbies workshop, which cater to various extra-curricular activities of the students.

Technical Club: It functions under "clubs and hobbies activities* of the institute. The objective of the technical club is to bring together faculty and students on a common platform to exchange ideas and share knowledge on emerging technologies.

Book Shop: There is a bookshop situated in the shopping complex of the institute, where a Xerox facility is also available. Additionally, a separate Xerox facility is available in the Library.

Established in the year 1987, Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Institute of Technology provides education at the undergraduate, doctoral and postgraduate level in the fields of Science, technology and engineering. Presently, as per the central government, this institute is named as Institute of National Importance. NITJ has over 12 different academic departments, which includes the Department of Biotechnology, Department of Physics and Department of Civil Engineering. Furthermore, this institute also offers PG Diploma courses in various fields of engineering, including chemical engineering, industrial engineering, thermal engineering and design engineering. Candidates seeking admission in NIT Jalandhar must qualify JEE Main for UG and CCMT for PG. Candidates must check the eligibility requirements for their preferred course before applying.
