In terms of studies it's really worthy, but the campus is small.
Placements: Maximum students get placed anywhere or somewhere, like 80–90 percent. The remaining go for M.Tech. But it's about the package: generally, the highest package is 50 LPA, the average is like 10 LPA, and it generally starts with 5 LPA or higher. Generally, companies like Texas Instruments, Intel, and BPCL visit. Internships range from 10k to 1 LPA.
Infrastructure: Hostels have 100 percent Wi-Fi, in fact, the whole campus has a Wi-Fi connection. That's not a big deal. Labs and classrooms are also well-managed, and the library includes a lot of various books where many students sit and study. It's open only during working hours, which is why we also have the option to take books to the hostel, though for a limited time. If you are from the South, then you won't like the food here, but it's okay.
Faculty: If we talk about lecturers or professors, they are highly qualified and, obviously, their notes are enough. They have a lot of knowledge, more than enough knowledge for the course. However, the syllabus is too vast, and to cover it, some of them will teach very fast, but if you revise the notes every day, then it's not a big problem. The course curriculum is relevant, but somewhat tilted towards the tech side from semester 1 to semester 5.

Review of NIT Jalandhar.
Placements: Around 80% of students get placed with a decent package. The highest package is 52 LPA. The lowest is 4 LPA. The average is 10 LPA. For my course, top recruiting companies include Flipkart, Amazon, Mondelez, Campus Activewear, and many more. 10% of students get internships. There are not many companies for internships. Students get internships at companies like Mondelez, Accenture, etc. Common roles include Operations Manager, Category Manager, etc.
Infrastructure: Almost all facilities are available. There is free Wi-Fi in the hostel, geysers for hot water, water coolers, proper labs, and fully functional classrooms with AC. Library and reading room are also fully air-conditioned. It provides a peaceful environment. Hostel facilities are not that good. The food quality is just okay. The canteen food is good. Medical facilities are available for free. Each and every sport is given importance here. Facilities for almost every game are available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. They teach through both PPTs and books. The curriculum is relevant. It helps students develop, but not to the level that it should. Mid-semester exams are difficult. End-semester exams are comparatively easier. Pass percentage is likely 95%.
Other: I got admission through CSAB, which is why I chose this college. The best thing is that it is career-ready and focused on the industry. The syllabus is generally good, but some subjects that should be taught in this course are not included. Many events are organized on campus. Campus has 4,000 students. The connectivity is okay.

B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2027

An Honest Review of NITJ .
Placements: In my branch, as I am in Chemical Engineering in my final year, the placement percentage is 100%. It touched 100 last year, and I hope it does this year too. In the last batch, the highest placement was 52 LPA, and the lowest went in the range of 5-6 LPA. Top roles are tech jobs. Core companies give packages averaging 11 - 12 LPA, which is decent.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is pretty good. All the departments have separate buildings and centralized Air-Conditioning systems, and high-speed Wi-Fi. Talking about the hostel facilities, there are many hostels for boys: BH-1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and Mega Boys hostels MBH-A, B, F, E, and the facilities are good.
Faculty: Faculty is very helpful, and they teach really well. Some faculty members are strict, but the overall teaching environment is really good. Course curriculum is extremely relevant, and industry-centric subjects are also taught to students. Semester exams are not very difficult if we focus on the classes regularly. Passing marks are 40 out of 100 in every subject.
Other: I chose this course (Chemical Engineering) because since my 11th, I had an interest in Chemistry and how everything is made. The best thing about the course is that it has very helpful teachers in my department. There are some teachers who also help in securing internships for students in need. "Utkansh" fest takes place every year; it's a 4-day fest where all the clubs participate and organise competitions and events throughout.

B.Tech. in Textile Technology - Batch of 2029

NIT Jalandhar review 2026.
Placements: The Textile Technology department has an 80-90 percent placements this year. Most of the eligible students in the 26' batch got placed. The highest package is 18 LPA offered by Trident in core and 16 LPA by Amazon in tech. The average stood at around 5.8 LPA with companies like Vardhan Textile being the major mass recruiters. The roles majorly include the managerial and supervisor roles in textile mills and also managerial roles in non-core companies.
Infrastructure: Facilities are above average to good. The labs are well-equipped but some of the machinery in the laboratories is outdated and has not yet been replaced. Currently the department is undergoing renovation. The library is world-class. There are two libraries in the college one being the central or old library while the new library is just for study purpose. Both of them are fully air-conditioned and the old library has the book bank. The hostel is good but mostly old. The quality of the food is very decent both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food is available.
Faculty: The senior professors are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The new faculty members are helpful but some lack industry-related knowledge. The teaching quality is okayish. The course is industry relevant it truly prepares a student for the textile industry and gives them enough knowledge to be industry-ready.
Other: Since all of the students are given merit-based admission, the college crowd is really good. This place can connect you with talented people and improve your overall personality. The college has good sports infrastructure and a team that regularly participates in inter-NIT tournaments. There are a lot of events that take place in the college and all of them are really fun and engaging. The college societies are also there for personality development.

Satisfied and worth the money spent.
Placements: About 100 percent of students got placed from the 2024 batch and according to the current placement status in 2026 about 52 to 53 students are placed out of 70 in the current placement session and the session is still running. The highest package offered is 18 LPA by Trident and the lowest is about 6 LPA to 7 LPA, and the average is about 8.5 LPA to 9 LPA. Top recruiters for my course are Trident for core, Accenture for data roles, Flipkart, and Amazon. About 70 to 80 percent of students find internships in companies like Sonalika. Top roles offered are data analyst and supply chain.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities in the college are well maintained like there is a Wi-Fi that covers the entire college, one can sign in using their roll numbers and password as their DOB. It is newly constructed and has fully air-conditioned library and study room. A new lecture theatre is also constructed worth 51 crores. Hostels are divided separately for freshers and seniors to avoid ragging. Hostels are average as they have not been renovated but are well-maintained. Mess service is good according to the money they take. Sports facilities like two basketball courts, one volleyball court, and a gymnasium for badminton are available. A dispensary for medical facilities is available.
Faculty: All the teachers are Ph.D. from IITs or any foreign universities. Teachers are quite knowledgeable and solve the doubts of students. The course curriculum is not very relevant to the skills students need today, like AI, etc. For core the course makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are really tough but students manage to pass them. About 80 percent of students pass the examinations.
Other: I choose this course as, I want the NIT, well known for its brand value and in the Branch like IPE, I can also pursue some teach sort like data analyst etc. And more over its core placements were also good. To make a better curriculum and reduce the 75 percentage attendance criteria to 70 percent and narrowing down the acedamic time table from 10 to 2 not from 8:30 to 5:30 "UTKANSH" the biggest fest that occurs once a year in Feb or March. Scholarships are their based on income criteria and SC, ST and Pwd has lowfee.

Great coding culture in MnC.
Placements: The Mathematics and Computing branch here is treated on par with CSE by top recruiters. Seniors secure excellent SDE and Quant roles at major tech and fintech firms. The campus coding culture is highly competitive, leading to great internship and placement rates.
Infrastructure: The academic blocks and labs have reliable Wi-Fi. The central library is excellent for studying. Hostel facilities are decent, and the mess food is average but manageable. The best part of hostel life is the student-run night canteens for late-night cravings.
Faculty: The MnC curriculum is a perfect blend of theoretical mathematics and core computer science. It is highly relevant for industry roles. Faculty is qualified and helpful. Semester exams are moderately difficult and require consistent self-study to maintain a good CGPA.
Other: I chose Mathematics and Computing because it perfectly blends deep mathematical logic with core computer science. which is ideal for SDE and tech careers. The best part is our highly competitive, coding-focused peer group. One thing to improve would be making some of the purely theoretical math courses more applied. Campus life is amazing. Along with active clubs, tech fests, and events like TEDx. The crowd is diverse and motivated. There are great opportunities to build personal projects or start campus initiatives.
