For the MTech programmes, entry depends on your GATE score. In the sixth round of selection, the Computer Science branch closed at a score of 385 for General students and 333 for Scheduled Caste (SC) students.

NIT Mizoram JEE Main cutoff 2026 was published for admission to the BTech and its various branches for both the OBC AI and HS quota categories. The cutoff has been released for the first round in the form of ranks.
For the OBC AI quota, the round 1 cutoff ranged from 11344 to 17156, with BTech CSE and BTech in Civil Engineering being the most and least competitive branches for admission.
On the other hand, for the OBC HS quota, the same round cutoff was only declared for one branch, ie, BTech CSE with the cutoff of 539090.

No, students cannot get direct admission to NIT Mizoram. The admissions are done on the basis of national-level entrance exams. JEE Mains, GATE, UGC NET etc. are some of the entrance tests accepted by the institute.
