Overall, I am satisfied with my college, hostel, and faculties.

Placements: Approximately 60% of students go for or apply for jobs; other students go for competitive exams and continue academics. The highest package is around 40,000, while the lowest may be 20,000. Companies like Wipro and Infosys hire in the remote sensing field, as well as for rural development jobs. Another option for a job is to pursue higher studies and continue further education.

Infrastructure: The facilities on our campus are excellent. All the amenities, such as Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and the library, are incomparable and very good overall. I lived in the B.R. Ambedkar hostel, and the facilities there are brilliant. The most hygienic food is provided in the canteen, and medical facilities at Ansari Hospital are outstanding. Sports facilities are also good.

Faculty: The teachers are quite helpful and relate well to the studies; they are brilliant. The course curriculum is relevant and prepares students for the industry very well. The semester exams are moderate in nature, and the pass percentage in our college is 40 percent for the semester.

Other: I want to learn the geography discipline, and it also helps me in my UPSC preparation.

All about Jamia Millia Islamia .

Placements: There is no such placement in my course, as it is not a professional course. Also, there is no necessity for an internship in my course. If you are in my department, there is a course named PG Diploma in Remote Sensing. In this course, students usually get placed with an average package.

Infrastructure: There is a beautiful building housing the geography department in GATE No. 7. Majid Husain, a famous author, has been a faculty member here. Infrastructure is average, with labs for remote sensing and GIS, seminar halls, professor chambers and classrooms. The seminar hall contains a lot of books on the geography discipline. Hostel accommodation in Jamia is precious, as everyone doesn't get it. The food in Hostel Mess is such that there is no need to spend money outside. There are a lot of canteens on campus, namely the central canteen, Dastarkhwan, etc., which remain bustling throughout the day. There is a Dr. M.A. Ansari Health Center on campus where one can go for a medical checkup. For sports and games, there is a sports complex named Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi Sports Complex where matches of the Ranji Trophy level are organised.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and cooperative. All the faculty of the department are Ph.D. holders from renowned Universities of India. Teaching quality varies from faculty to faculty. Some faculty are very hardworking and clear all doubts and some are not that ADEPT at the skill of clearing all the Overall, faculty is average. It has not been able to create many job opportunities apart from academia, so it's hard to say whether it is relevant or not. Semester exams are not difficult to pass. It can passed with little effort. There is grading system. Up to C grade, one is considered pass.

Other: I chose this course because of my core interest in it. I personally believe one should take the path where his/her interest lies. With climate change and demand for conservation of nature, there will be job opportunities in future. I would like to improve course structure and make it more interesting & engaging. There are different clubs on campus, such as Quizento (Quiz Club), pro bono club, drama Club, etc. Fests like Zephyr, Ecocracy, Muziris by Kerala Students, etc. Bring life to the campus. Scholarships like APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship & Rank Holders scholarship by Dean Students Welfare (DSW) Jamia. AAJMI scholarship by Jamia Alumni is another scholarship for students.

Best university in terms of ranking and facilities .

Placements: There are average percent of students to be placed in geography. This coarse is not package based. But it's best for net examination after that you will get placed in Ph.D. or in any assistance professor job. This is not a placement based subject. Some students got intern in many NGO's Roles :- geologist environmentalist climatologist meterologist rural urban planners in survey government jobs etc. There are n number of scope from this coarse both in private and government.

Infrastructure: 24/7 Wi-Fi available. Labs present. Good classrooms clean and well structured there is also a library with AC's. In hostel there is good mess facility and we are having good food along with that we have sports round and having gaming competition .

Faculty: The teachers were veri knowledgeable and have very much experienced. Yes it is very relevant. Exams were not very easy not very hard. Passing marx is 40 percent Exams questions were repeating If you prepare yourself from last years question then it will be very easy.

Other: I am interested that's why I choose this.
