The story of an average college life.
Placements: Mostly 90% of students got placed. Around 80-85% of students join the companies and others opt for higher studies. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Accenture, Zifo, Amazon, Google, etc. Around 50% of students got internships. Top roles are service engineer in various known companies and hospitals, as well as some applications of medical equipment.
Infrastructure: Our college has strong Wi-Fi but the quality of labs is very average. Most equipment is missing and malfunctioning. Our college lift is very bad. Other facilities are not very good. There is no hostel in this college. But have many private mess. There are very different types of problems like low-quality food, ragging, etc. College canteen has decent quality of food. Our grounds are not well-maintained. So we can not play on this ground.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified but most of them are not very helpful for study. They have average teaching quality. Syllabus is relevant but some chapters or subjects are not relevant because of IT subjects like BME or Biology. Semester exams are averagely difficult. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: The college can improve its campus because it is very small.

Our college has a great placement record and provides quality education.
Placements: About 98% of students got placed in our course. Top recruiting companies are Accenture, TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini, Zifo, R&D, Byju's, Amazon, etc. The highest salary package offered by Intel is 4 LPA. The average salary package offered is 5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA.
Infrastructure: All laboratories are well-equipped with modern machines and required things. Classrooms have Wi-Fi and they have enough space for students to accommodate. They have proper ventilation. Classrooms are well-equipped with proper blackboards, smart boards, projectors, and every required thing. All course-related books are available in the library. Our college issues a library card at the time of admission by which you can borrow books from the library.
Faculty: Our college follows the same syllabus issued by MAKAUT and AICTE. We have the best faculty members. Our professors are very knowledgeable and very helpful. They help you out with any academic problems. They will provide you with notes and everything possible to make you give your best performance in examinations. Semester exams are not difficult to pass if you study.
Other: The best thing about this college is that it is a ragging-free campus. Students, teaching staff, non-teaching staff, administration, and management are against ragging. Our college has many clubs like Rotaract, Lensified, Phoenix, Eco-cultural, etc. You can join them to participate in many extracurricular events like photography, fests, debate, etc. Mesmeriser is the grand fest that our college organises every year. Many famous personalities visit our college at that event.

It is the best college for biomedical engineering in eastern India.
Placements: About 100% of students are placed every year. The salary ranges from Rs. 30,000 per month to Rs. 70,000 per month. The average salary offered by core companies is Rs. 40,000 per month. Core companies like Siemens recruit students here. Software companies like TCS also recruit students here. Students get paid internships from 2nd year onward if they stick around with professors and seniors to grab opportunities. Top roles are offered in research, maintenance, and medical software.
Infrastructure: There are many well-equipped and modern labs. Classrooms are big and spacious. Wi-Fi is available on each floor. All books are available in the library, so you don't have to buy any books. Sports and games have high priorities. Our college doesn't have a hostel of its own, but there are many mess halls, PGs, and rental flats in the locality at reasonable prices.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified. They make you feel at home. They are like a family. They have experience and knowledge. The course curriculum is relevant to current needs. It makes students industry-ready as well as ready to write entrance exams for M.Tech. or MS. Exams will keep you on your toes throughout the year.

Everything here is perfect except for placements in the streams rather than ECE, CSE, or IT.
Placements: IT companies hire most students, so core company jobs are few. Top companies provide off-campus placements. CTS, TCS, and Wipro are the companies that visit here. In our course, most students go into the IT field. Few of them work at hospitals or opt for higher education. We have to find internships on our own.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi in our department is good. The reading room and library are sufficient. Other facilities provided by the college authorities are also sufficient. There is no hostel, but they are building a canteen. Sports and games are good. Medical kits are also available.
Faculty: Semester exams are tough, but the pass percentage is good.
Other: Events are conducted.

Good placements in IT companies and the average package is 4 LPA.
Placements: In BME, the average package is 2 LPA, it can range between 1.5lpa to 2.5lpa. Moreover 100 percent students got placed in on campus or via off campus. Majority students go for industrial training in 3rd year. Approximately 90% of the students got placements from the CSE department from this college. The highest salary package offered in 2021 is 42 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 5.1 LPA. Top recruiting companies here are TCS, Infosys, IBM, etc. Our college does not provide internships, but students get selected for internships on their own. Roles offered in internships are web development and software development.
Infrastructure: There is no such canteen or hostel available in college campus. Infrastructure is quite good. You can get a good academic and social life balance. The infrastructure of our college is good. Classrooms are huge and well maintained. There is a huge library, and most of the recent and also old books are available there. There are no Wi-Fi facilities on the campus, and the labs are updated. There are no hostel facilities in this college. The canteen is available, and the food served is good there. Medical facilities are also available. Sports and games are not played on the campus because it is a very small campus.
Faculty: Teachers are quite helpful. Our course syllabus makes us industry ready. In 3rd year there is Dsa, coding in our routine to make us job ready. Teachers here are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good. This course is relevant and makes students ready for the industry. Semester exams are easy for the students who study throughout the semester to score good marks but to score average marks, only one month is sufficient. In semester exams, the pass percentage is more than 90%.

Campus life here is decent.
Placements: About 95% of students are placed in our course. The highest salary package is 5 LPA, the average is Rs. 20,000 per month, and the lowest is Rs. 11,000 per month as an intern. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, Zifo, Medit, and GE. Almost every student who has been placed is doing an internship at one of the companies. The top role offered is business analyst.
Infrastructure: At Netaji Subhash Engineering College, every student of every branch will get good infrastructure ranging from classrooms, and laboratories to libraries, and sports centers. They are all well-maintained and clean. The lab, library, and classrooms are sufficient to earn 10 credits for the semester. Except for food and location, everything is fine.
Faculty: Teachers are sufficiently qualified and knowledgeable. The pass percentage is 100%. It is easy to score by writing from the textbook. You can also score by studying just before the exams. At Netaji Subhash Engineering College, the curriculum of every course is updated on a regular basis, and that's why it includes all the recent developments in a particular field.
Other: Learning becomes more attractive when it comes with a lot of fun things, a good number of practical activities, supportive and encouraging teachers and mentors, good facilities, and good job opportunities. This college is very good for students to study and for the future.
Placements: There are many opportunities for very good placements.
95-98% of students are placed in top companies. BME students are offered outstanding packages. 100% of students got internships from my course. Top companies come to our college to recruit us.
Infrastructure: There are no hostel facilities in our college. Students can stay only at PGs. There are many mess and PGs in front of the college. Our classrooms are good. There is a library with lots of books. Every lab is filled with instruments.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful. The teaching quality of our teachers is mindblowing. Our teachers teach us a lot more than just classroom reading, which is very important for our future. Whenever students have a problem, the faculty will help them as much as they can.

Our college provides good and interdisciplinary coursework under scholarly professors.
Placements: Being a smaller department in the college, we had a great teacher-student ratio for which we could learn better. All of the students in our batch had either been placed in reputed companies or pursued higher studies. We had both off and on-campus recruitment events which gave us multiple options to choose from.
Infrastructure: The library was well-equipped and so was the reading room when some additional study was needed. The canteen was good and so was the recreation area. There were some other small restaurants located nearby as well. The department had also a mini library where more relevant materials can be assessed.
Faculty: I think the overall coursework was designed quite well. Being an interdisciplinary field, we had courses on electronics, core Biology as well as instrumentation. The exams were not too difficult once you were thorough with what was done in the class and in the labs.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to pursue something out of the routine mechanical or computer science-based ways. I am currently in my third year of Ph.D. at the Ohio State University and add the skill set that NSEC gave me in my current research works.
