I am absolutely satisfied to be admitted to this college.
Placements: 98% of students got placed last year. The highest package is 9 LPA, and the lowest package is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Adani Group, Emami, and Nestled. 90% of students got internships in many food companies. Top roles like food scientist, food inspector, and food engineer are offered in our course.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and the library are too good. The quality of the facilities in our hostel is too good. The food quality is better than other hostels. It always has 2 ambulances. Sports and games are available in the hostel. The hostel food is too good to eat and affordable.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not very difficult at this college. The pass percentage is 45%.
Other: I chose this course to become a good food scientist, and it's a rare course. Everything is good. Events are not happening. The campus crowd, connectivity, campus surroundings, and extracurricular activities are happening.

Student-friendly college.
Placements: There are a total of 65 students this year, and 61 have been placed on campus, placement is still ongoing. Companies like Keventer, ITC, and Dabur come for placements. Serious students get interviews, which are arranged by the department only.
Infrastructure: The library is a heaven for studious students and bookworms. Classrooms are a bit dirty sometimes, but mostly they are okay. Hostels are also fine, and the food there is similar to what you expect in all hostels. Wi-Fi with good connectivity is available around the whole campus.
Faculty: Faculty members are very friendly and helpful, and the course curriculum is up to the mark. If someone studies the class notes properly, they can easily score a 7+ CGPA. Teachers guide and solve doubts whenever need, and they are never absent during class days. The course also makes students industry-ready.
Other: Scholarships are available, and campus life is very nice.

Haldia Institute of Technology is overall a good college if you want a break from city life.
Placements: 99% of students are placed in the last year. The average salary is 4-5 LPA, and the highest is 8-9 LPA. The top recruiters are Adani, ITC, Patanjali, etc. 60-70% of students start getting internships from the 4th semester. The top roles are in quality management, food safety, and reservation. You can also opt for government jobs.
Infrastructure: Our department has professional labs that help students learn more practically. The hostel is average, and the hostel food is also average. else, the hostel also conducts various events, competitions, sports, etc. The best thing about the hostel is that it enhances your survival skills, and if you get good friends, and roommates, the hostel is your second home, just like it has been money.
Faculty: Teachers are cooperative enough. If you follow the class sincerely, most of questions are discussed in class. Assignments and homework consist of the remaining. The best part is that you'll get to solve practice modules before the exam, and most of questions come from those modules itself. So, getting good marks in exams is not a big deal.
Other: Campus life at HIT is very good, only if you want some relief from the city crowd. There is lots of greenery. The monsoon in Haldia is the best. We have lots of clubs and societies that keep you engaged in various extracurricular activities.

Review Of Haldia Institute of Technology.
Placements: HIT has a reputation for good placement, but the placement percentage is quite low this year. Before 2024, the placement scenario was good. The eligibility criteria differ; a 7-9 CGPA is preferred. However, the highest package offered this year is 33 LPA.
Infrastructure: My course department has a good and well-equipped laboratory and classrooms where theoretical and practical knowledge is provided, but the hostel conditions are quite bad. The food, especially in the girls' hostel, is not good, and the number of washrooms is also insufficient. The college needs to upgrade these facilities.
Faculty: The members of the faculty at the college are helpful and include Ph.D. holders. Mentors are also available for every department to help students with any difficulties. If any student is facing issues regarding ragging, an anti-ragging committee is also present.

It has one of the best infrastructures in West Bengal.
Placements: Placements are good in our department. More than 90% of students got placed in our course. The top recruiting companies are Nestle India and ITC Food. The top recruiting IT companies are Wipro and TCS. The lowest salary package offered was 2.5 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA. Around 95% of students got internships in our courses.
Infrastructure: HIT has ranked first among the private colleges in West Bengal for its extremely satisfactory infrastructure. We have highly equipped laboratories and digital classrooms. Some laboratories are air-conditioned as well. There is a huge library. We have a cricket ground, a football ground, a basketball court, and a volleyball court. In the hostels, we have sports facilities for badminton, carrom, etc. We also have a gymnasium and a yoga center. Hostel rooms are airy and spacious. Wi-Fi is also available in our hostel. The food quality is not good in the hostel. You will get the same food daily. You will not like the same food after 1 month.
Faculty: There are 500–1000 faculty members for 4,000 students. Professors are highly qualified and helpful. They are extremely knowledgeable. Many faculty members are good, but that should not be a matter of concern because you have to study on your own.
Other: I opted for this course because this sector has good demand. This course is growing every year, and it also provides many opportunities. I took PCM in 12th grade, but I was interested in both biology and maths. There are a lot of subsidies and schemes from the government of India for food startups, MSMEs, etc.

I am satisfied with this college in all aspects.
Placements: Till now no one is placed from our batch because campusing session is not started yet. The highest salary package offered is 7.2 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 2.4 LPA. ITC, Adani, and Emami are the top recruiting companies. Almost 100% of students get internships in Carlsbarg, Envirocare Lab, Bengal Bevarage, etc., but it depend on students' ability.
Infrastructure: In this college, Wi-Fi is available but at a limited amount. There are 4 separate laboratories in this college. The air-conditioner is provided in the classroom with a digital board. The library is one of the biggest institute libraries of WB, and has separate departmental library as well.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and friendly. Many of them completed their Ph.D. and some are pursuing them. The teaching quality is excellent. Our course curriculum is relevant. This makes the students ready for the industry. If students study well then the semester exam is very easy, if students are not then they will fail for sure. The pass percentage is almost 100%.
Other: The course is simply different than others and I just love the course. It provides more industry visits, and many events are held in this college. Our main college events are annual cultural meet, tech fest name Prayukti, annual fest name is Riviera. Everything is good in this college. Many professional societies are also there, intra and inter tournament is also conducted in this college.

I am satisfied with the college and its faculty members. It gives us good placements.
Placements: About 78% of students are placed. The highest salary package was 4.25 LPA and the lowest was 1.50 LPA. The top recruiters are ITC, Adani, Wilmar, and Bengal Beverage. About 100% of students get internships in companies like ITC, Adani, Wilmar, Bengal Beverage, Keaventar, Parle, Gujarat Ambuja, etc. The top roles are offered in management, food packaging, checking quality, research, and development.
Infrastructure: The rooms are well lighted and Wi-Fi equipped. We have a central library and an online library. Labs are equipped with all the necessary equipment. Some classrooms also have air-conditioning facilities. Hostels are clean. Rooms are quite large, and each room is shared by three or four people. The room contains a bed and a table for all. The food available is good but not the best. The quantity offered is sufficient and has a reasonable price. The college contains four huge playgrounds, one basketball ground, a gym, and all types of popular indoor games.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and eager to help students. The maximum number of teachers have completed Ph.D. and the rest have completed an M.Tech. They teach us like friends. They clear all our doubts and give us extra classes if needed. The course is relevant and is focused on making you ready for companies. Exams are not that difficult. The pass percentage is 33%.
Other: I have chosen the course because I am very much interested in the food industry. In this course, the assignments are a little fewer, so it will be helpful. The college is full of fests, events, and cultural programs. It's like every month there is some cultural event in college.

The oldest private engineering college in the state ( West Bengal), always a bonus point.
Placements: 80 Percent of Students were placed in this course in 2018-2022 Batch. 10 Lacs Was the highest and 3 is average package from Food Technology Department. Nestle Cadbury britania are the top companies that recruit from here. 100 Percent Students Gets Internships from here. Food technologist, Food Quality control roles offered from this course.
Infrastructure: Hostel fees is around 12000/ - per semester which you have to pay one time per semester. That comes to around 2000/- per month. This is for lodging only where you get a sharing room either with 2/3/4 students. And for fooding you have to pay your own as per your choose. In every hostel there is mess facility and different kind of dishes are made everyday. You can choose according to your budget and interest. A normal guy eating healthy food 2 times in day, mess bill comes around 2700u20133000.
Faculty: Well if you are thinking of getting high quality Teachers or Lab standards in any of State level Engineering college then you must be fooling yourself. Teachers are average here, well there are exceptions. It all depends on you in study part. But one thing is for sure that you can't rely on the college teachers if you really want to learn computer Science. And more or less situation is same in every state level college.
Other: One of the best thing that I choose this course is Job Security: Nobody can survive without eating food. Therefore, food industries will always keep processing food and hiring professionals. 2) Diverse Environment: As food industry is diverse, with literally thousands of different opportunities for a food scientist/ food technologist.
