There's no ragging in this college, and junior-senior interaction is minimal.
Placements: My college provides 100 percent placement, which is one of the most important aspects while choosing a college. I feel my college has the best tech giant companies such as Microsoft, TCS, and many more. The highest package is around 45 LPA till now, and the average package is around 8 LPA, so it’s good for a fresher.
Infrastructure: Overall, the institution is good, much more than what the NIRF ranking describes. You get a lot of opportunities here, be it in any club or any sports. There is a rule for every student to address their seniors as Sir and Ma'am, which maintains decorum. Most importantly, there's no ragging, so it's a relief for all the freshers. We have a sports fest, URJA, a tech fest, OJAS, and cultural fests as well. There are cafeterias for students, and computer centers are also provided on campus for students to use for their technical needs.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is okay; it’s not the best, but some faculty members are good while others are not that good enough. You can approach faculty members, and they will definitely help you regarding any topic or doubt. The Computer Science core branch has the best faculty. Examinations are held every month. There are a total of 4 exams throughout the semester, i.e., IA1 (Internal Assessment 1), IA2 (Internal Assessment 2), Mid-Sem, and End-Sem. IA1/IA2 and Mid-Sem consist of 20 marks each, while End-Sem consists of 60 marks, which includes theory exams and practical exams. At the end, the average of IA1/IA2 is considered. You need to pass each exam individually. The passing criteria is 45% marks in each exam. Passing is easy for an average student.

I liked the campus, it’s lecture halls and the academics.
Placements: There were only a few opportunities for the students to appear in various campus recruitment drives due to the conditions prevalent in the state of Jammu & Kashmir. However, the campus did witness some PSUs towards the end of my 7th semester. Companies like HPCL, IOCL, and GAIL visited primarily for recruitments of the Mechanical engineering students. However, four students from Civil Engineering also got placed. The recruitments process included three stages being selection of 3 or 4 students for group discussion based on CGPA score, followed by a group discussion and an interview at the end.
Infrastructure: In the first year, for boys two seater rooms are available, but for girls, three seater rooms are provided. From the second year onwards, single rooms are given to both boys and the girls. In a room, one chair, one table, two beds, one fan, and two almirahs are available. ACs or coolers are also available. The mess menu is okay. In a week, they provided chicken 4-5 times. There are PG students who rent rooms in the locality near the college.
Faculty: The course is industry-based and the practical knowledge we got was enough to get us decently placed. The faculty members here are good but not up to the expectation. The students don't need to depend completely on the faculty members. The course curriculum helps a lot as we do an internship for one year which will be helpful in adapting to the industry. The students get the opportunity to explore in the internships only and don't need to depend on the campus for recruitments.

Placement of this college has always been outstanding.
Placements: For all fields of M.Tech., placement is fantastic. There are numerous opportunities for individuals. CSE is better for M.Teach placement than other branches. There are some PSUs, such as BPCL, that come here for CSE people, and I believe this is one of the best points. The maximum number of students get placed on campus at the university by high-profile companies with decent packages.
Infrastructure: We got three sharing rooms. The room is equipped with a bed, table, chair, cupboard and LAN. We get four meals a day. The quality of the food is satisfactory. We have a different menu for each day. The cleanliness of the mess is not so good. The registration process for the hostel is being done by the college as we get in-campus hostels. The hostel fees are affordable. Hostel Fee: INR 30000 per year.
Faculty: The curriculum of our college is well integrated and very nicely designed. The curriculum gives us proper knowledge of coding and the coding culture of our college is also very good. The faculty of our college is what I feel is highly talented and well-experienced in the teaching methods. Class size:-59 The course costs INR 114000 per year.

It is a good college with great placement opportunities, new academic building and good teachers.
Placements: Placement opportunities are very good here. Students have to improve their coding skills, which is enough for placements in any dream company. All students from our upper batch got placed in good companies like Oracle, Dell and Qualcomm. Even students can go for internships in good companies like Philips and Intel.
Infrastructure: As it is covid time, I couldn't go to the hostel. The system is not that strict, and it is very flexible. Students can prepare for their placements and learn new things while doing their academics.
Faculty: Teachers are very good, helpful and qualified, and the academics are also not that strict. The college is doing very good, but students must do their own preparations and hard work. Our college chooses the optional subjects, so it is a bit disappointing for students. Teachers are very friendly and cooperative here.
Other: I am highly satisfied with studying here. Our college should allow students to choose optional subjects, so it would be helpful for students. This year a new academic building has made, and it is very attractive.

I am absolutely satisfied because it gives freedom to build your personality.
Placements: Almost every student got placed in the corporate sector or enrolled in a PhD. The highest salary package offered was 5.8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 4.2 LPA. Tata Motors was the topmost recruiting company for our course. Almost every student got an internship from our college. You can either join in any coaching company or in the corporate for internships.
Infrastructure: Our college has a Wi-Fi facility, labs and internet facility in every room through LAN port. Hostels are very good, and there is a separate wing for PG students for hostels. The food served in the mess is awesome compared to other colleges. Sports facilities are also good as there are many courts for every game. Medical facilities are a little drawback as the doctor is not available every time.
Faculty: Faculty members here are good, and our college hired some new faculty members. They all are highly qualified and have helping nature. Courses are as per expectations with less pressure and more practicals. You can do an internship in any industry in your 2nd year of PG, which is also a good advantage.

Placements are good, but they need to focus on infrastructure.
Placements: For the course 2018-2020, a good number of companies visit our college for providing internships as well as placements. M.Tech students don't many opportunities as B.Tech students. During 2019-2020, 2 students got an internship in GE, 5 students got an internship in Nokia, 3 students got an internship in Qualcomm, 9 students got an internship in Intel, and 8 students got an internship in Tata Motors. Other than this, around 10-15 companies also visited for placements. The maximum salary package offered by Qualcomm is 18 LPA, Intel offered the salary package of 17 LPA, and Tata Motor offered the salary package of 8 LPA. Most of the interns got pre-placement offers from respective companies. Overall placement scenario is pretty well as compared to other government institutions.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is one of the major factors that play a role in NIRF ranking. Our college was established in 1960, so most of the classrooms and hostel are not in good condition. Labs are not exceptionally good and need to be upgraded. Currently, construction is in process for smart lecture halls, well-equipped hostel and playgrounds. The college has a digital library, and the quality of food in the mega mess is also improving. The college canteen is not that good as they have very limited options. In the case of sports, volleyball and badminton courts are well-maintained, but the hockey field is not up to the mark. Apart from this, the college has a good cricket ground.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified, but for teaching, they can be rated as moderate. After taking labs of B.Tech students, I came to know that the approach of teachers is very theoretical, and students don't get to know the practical aspects of technology. Courses are mostly research-oriented, and it barely helps students to experience industry related innovations.
Other: I have chosen this course because I wanted to explore more in the field of communication. This college is good for students who like to do self-study. About campus life and extracurricular activities, I would suggest to include M.Tech students as we have negligible involvement in any of the college fest, placement drive, etc. But overall college is good and provides you with a better opportunity to do well.
