NIT Sikkim offers UG, PG, and Doctoral courses in the field of Science, Commerce, and Humanities, including BTech, MTech, MSc, and PhD. At NIT Sikkim, these courses are offered through nine departments across multiple specialisations. BTech is the flagship course offered by the Institution. National exams like JEE Main and GATE are accepted by the Institution for admission to BTech and M.Tech courses.

Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore started the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024 registration on Aug 30. GATE application form 2024 is available online at the exam official website. Aspirants can visit the website to apply. Yes, JEE Main 2024 dates for admission to NIT Sikkim are out now but the dates are tentative. It is expected that JEE Main 2024 notification will be released in the first week of December. NTA will conduct the JEE Main 2024 exam in two sessions in January and April. The exact date of the exam for both sessions will be announced in the notification. National Institute of Technology Sikkim provides various undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes through nine departments. These departments are mentioned below:

NIT Sikkim Round 1 Seat Allotment Result has been released. As per the NIT Sikkim BTech cutoff 2024, the Round 1 closing rank for CSE was 2641 for SC and 1416 for ST category. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE Main, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female. 

Yes, NIT Sikkim be considered a good college for engineering. The institute is an autonomous institute recognised by the UGC and approved by the AICTE. While its recent NIRF 2024 ranking places it in the 151-200 band for engineering, and its median placement packages are modest at around INR 8.50 LPA for B.Tech. NIT Sikkim offers BTech programmes with a duration for four years. BTech programme at NIT Sikkim is offered in  specialisations namely Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering & Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The eligibility criteria for the BTech specialisations includes twelve years of shcool education with 75% aggregate. National entrance exams is the source of admission for the BTech programme.

NIT Sikkim provides various programmes and specialisations to students. These courses are available in different streams. For obtaining NIT Sikkim admission, candidates are selected on the basis of entrance tests. The total fee for the BTech programme at NIT Sikkim is INR 49,500. Total fee is calculated based on annual/ semester fee available for the academic year, hence is indicative. ST/SC & PH students are fully exempted from paying tuition fees, while the most economically backward students (whose family income is less than INR 1 Lacs per annum) are granted full remission of the tuition fee. Other economically backward students, whose family income falls between INR 1 Lacs to 5 Lacs per annum, are granted a remission of 2/3rd of the tuition fee. 

NIT Sikkim JEE Main Round 6 cutoff for Computer Science Engineering is 24093 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing from round to round, better ranks definitely increases your chances of getting admission in NIT Sikkim.

NIT Sikkim CCMT Cutoff 2025 is out for various categories and rounds for admission to various M.Tech Specialisations. M.Tech in Communication and Signal Processing was the most competitive, with the cutoff score being 432, while on the other hand, M.Tech in VLSI & Embedded Systems was the easiest for students belonging to the General AI category, with the cutoff score being 360. Yes, NIT Sikkim accepts a percentile between 70-80 in JEE Mains. Also the candidates must have aslo secure minimum 75% (65% for SC/ST/PWS) in class 12 exam. With all the eligibility and selection procedure cleared candidates are sure to secure seat in NIT Sikkim.

Computer Science Engineering is the most popular specialisation under BTech programme in NIT Sikkim. The cutoff for BTech CSE was 30095 in 2021 which increased to 34085 in 2023.
