Great Facilities, Faculty, and placements, but food and administration are not great.
Placements: 85% of students get placed in various MNCs (Both Core and IT). The highest Package was 12.5 LPA, Average was 8 LPA, and the lowest was 5.5 LPA. Systra, WSP, Atkins, and ICICI are top recruiters. 48% get internships in MNCs such as WSP, Systra, and DHI and the remaining got into research institutes such as CWRDM, Kozhikode, CWPRS Pune, RRSC Bangalore and IIT Madras. Most people were offered the roles of Hydraulic Modeller and Hydrological Modeller.
Infrastructure: The Facilities within the department are really good, with 3 computer labs, a library, 24-hour Wi-Fi and LAN connectivity. Classrooms are equipped with Projectors and spacious. Hostels can be improved. Old hostels have cleanliness issues but New hostels are good with great internet connectivity and clean bathrooms. Food is average and Hostel administration is very toxic.
Faculty: Faculty are top-notch, knowledgeable, qualified and graduated from top institutes in India and the world, one of the best in the country. Research support is great. Teaching can be better. The course curriculum is outdated. But helps to get a job. Semester exams are easy, grading is relatively easy.
Other: I was interested in becoming a Water Engineer, to make a difference by doing my best to help conserve our most valuable resource Water. The Course curriculum can be updated including the GIS and AI's contribution in Hydrology. Every week there will be some events organised by many clubs on campus. Every semester there will be a Techno-cultural fest. Sports opportunity is not that great.
