Review of NIT Surathkal - National Institute of Technology.
Placements: For B.Tech and MCA placements are good. MCA students get an average package of 10-12 LPA. Big companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, Infosys, Samsung, and many more visit the campus. Around 250 companies come for MCA placements alone. Overall good placement experience here.
Infrastructure: The hostels have facilities like Wi-Fi, drinking water, light, fans, and beds. The classrooms are air-conditioned, and the central library is well-equipped for borrowing books. The mess food is average, but there are three canteens serving really tasty fast food. There is also a small sports field for volleyball, football, and cricket.
Faculty: Most of the teachers have good experience and qualifications. They mainly support students preparing for placements. Many subjects focus on the financial sector, especially accounting and auditing. Overall, the staff is capable and usually delivers good results.

I'm absolutely satisfied due to the faculty, good placement rate and really good infrastructure.
Placements: Almost 99% of the students get placements from our college. The placement rate is very high. Even dream companies like Amazon, Google, Facebook, etc., visit our college to hire students for certain jobs. B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc, MBA and all courses are available here.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available all the time, and the mess facility is also available. There are all facilities every time, so we don't need to go out of the campus for anything. The quality of facilities is also very good. I enjoyed my college life there.
Faculty: Faculty members here are very helpful, cooperative and are very good overall. For teaching quality, I will give a rating of 5 stars out of 5 stars to all the faculty members who give their best to teach students. The course curriculum of MCA at NITK is very relevant.
Other: I chose this course because I want to join the technical field. This course provides complete knowledge which software engineers should possess. We organised all India MCA fest named IGNITE every year.

The placements, faculty and the infrastructure of the college are good.
Placements: The placement for 2018 batch was the highest when compared to previous 3 years. Total 75% of students were placed in my batch with the highest package was 18 LPA, the lowest was 3.5 LPA, and the average was near 7 LPA to 8 LPA. We get many reputed MNCs like Microsoft, McAfee Soft, Target Corp, JPMC, JP Morgan, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, Citi Corp, Nokia, Cerner, Informatica, Dell, One Convergence, Oracle, RedBus, General Electric, Direct, Thorogood, Radisys, Telstra, SAP, Deloitte, MAQ, Amdocs, Thorogood, and the list goes on. The major roles offered were a software developer, associate soft engineer, analyst, and many more. More than 70% of students got the internship from college. The highest stipend was Rs 40,000. There is a placement cell here, and it does very well.
Infrastructure: The whole campus has Wi-Fi, labs have high-end systems. The library is an average one, and the medical facilities are also average, but the sports are very good here. The quality of teachers are very good, but not in all departments. The food quality is less than average, and the hostels are good with 24-hour supplies for electricity and water. The infrastructure of the college is also good.
Faculty: The faculty members are good here, but some departments lack good teachers. The teaching quality is good, but mostly all depends on the teachers. The judging parameters get changed from teacher to teacher. On average, it has faculty members far better than average. The student to faculty ratio also depends on the branch and subject. Usually, there are 80 students per faculty. There is very good industry expose in NITK as often you get to visit companies, mines, workshops, and seminars. The course curriculum is also good. Its one of the top 10 colleges of engineering, I don't need to write more about it.
Other: It has two main annual events, i.e. Engineer and Incident both national level. Engineer is the technical event with lots of events in it, and students from all over the country participate in it. "Incident" is the cultural event, having many big events as big Bollywood stars come to perform in it. The national highway goes from between the campus, the nearest airport is Bangalore, and the campus is very green. Scholarships in the college depending on your home state.

One of the best colleges for success in life. It's ranked within the top 10 universities in India.
Placements: Very good placements- 95% for MCA students last year. Many good companies visit every year. B.Tech CS/IT departments are great. 100% placements every year. Every student from this campus secures at least an internship. The highest stipend offered in internship is 60k, lowest is 25k. The highest placement package is 18 lpa and the lowest package is 4 lpa.
Infrastructure: Fully Wi-Fi campus. The library is also good. The sports complex is very nice. Medical facilities are very good. Labs and classrooms are very good.
The hostel rooms are double sharing and single sharing. There are a food court and a night canteen on the campus. A students' cooperative society is there. Xerox shop, coffee shop, food shop are also are there on the campus. The most attractive thing is there's a beach on the campus. Guest room facility is there.
Faculty: The faculty members are very helpful and they care about their students. They are ready to help their students at any time. They are easily accessible. Any student can freely talk their doubts. The teachers always help. Many good faculty members are there. The students and the teachers have a very friendly relationship.
The course curriculum is very useful for placements and further progress in life.

My college is nice. I feel very good when I think that I am from NITK.
Placements: The main thing of NITK is their placement. The placement record of NITK is increasing year by year. And the average ratio package of my class was 7-8 lakh per year. both types of companies arrive, MNCs and start-ups and we are free to choose which company we want to sit for.
Infrastructure: They provide everything related to study and games both. There are basically 3-hour labs of all related subjects but it is up to you, how many hours you want to sit.
We are fully free to attend the lab. And the faculty is also nice.
When I was studying, at that time there was LAN cable in the hostel for internet but now LAN and WiFi are both there.
There are free medical facilities with nice treatment. The food is nice and provides night canteen also if we are studying late at night.
Hostel rooms are very good. They provide workers for cleaning the rooms.
Faculty: The faculty members are nice. They have great knowledge in their subject. They always teach us practically. They explain each and every topic clearly. They are ready to explain any time.
They provide games teachers also. The faculty is high level.
Other: Basically, I studied 3 years in this college. I have never seen such a nice environment which I saw at NITK. The people are so nice and ready to help anytime.
There is beach also where we can have fun. There are time restrictions for girls in the girls hostels.
They provide different hostels for boys and girls.

Being a part of this college is the best thing happened to me.
Placements: The placements are good for B.Tech and MCA. For MCA, the average package is 10-12 LPA. MNCs visit our campus to hire the students. IG companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, Stagon, Morley, Samsung, Infosys and much more do come here for the placements. There were around 250 companies for MCA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The only college in India which has its private beach with a good atmosphere. There are two campuses on either side of the highway, one with the main building and the other is the western building. The Wi-Fi works very well. Along with it, the man ports are attached to every room. There is a large library, where you can spend a good time with the books. There are several small street cafes in the campus only, one in every 400 metres. There is night canteen as well where you grab food when you are hungry in the middle of the night. One whole building is there for a lab, i.e., CCC. Other than this there are labs in the department as well. The classrooms are well-maintained. The campus is full of greenery. There is a gym, swimming pool, and a large playground.
Faculty:
The faculty from every department is qualified and friendly. They are always ready to help, and you just need to initiate them. Almost every faculty member is a PhD holder. There are a lot of industrial visits.There are projectors in every classroom.You will enjoy studying if you have not enjoyed yet.
Other: The college support startups from the students. Many collaboration and the companies come and fund for the startup. There is a cell for startups in the college that is Step NITK. There are a lot of recreative activities happen in NITK almost twice a month. Then there are incident, engineer, Bharat darshan, crescendo, Phoenix, Spandan and many other fests. Apart from these, there are DJ nights, live match streaming, NITK film festival, music night, dance crew.

Absolutely good college for youngsters to get shaped as well as in terms of placements
Placements: Placement is very good. Almost, 250 companies have come and offered a minimum package of 6 LPA, an average package offered was of 10 LPA and the maximum goes to 40 LPA.
Infrastructure: Internet facility is good as it has a speed of over 10mbps normally. Labs are very good in conditions. All the computers have 16 GB of RAM. It has a huge campus of which 1/3 part of it is covered by cricket ground, basketball and tennis ground and other grounds.
Faculty: NITK is 3rd in top ranking, for engineering and MCA. Most of the faculty members have an experience of 5 to 10 years in any of the field, subject are up to date and advance which helps in placement as well.
Other: This college has a very good student life. Within a semester, college organises many events in which people from outside the college participates like Manipal and other colleges.

Other: The college is NITK-Surathkal. Though it is in south India, but the college doesn’t let anyone feel left out.
The festivals from all parts of India are celebrated with fervour in the college. The young minds gather in the evening and discussions and talks are a common sight.
Being here, one grows inevitably in his career and personality as well. The knowledge streams flowing from the college are immensely useful and the library and computer centre are the epicentre of it all. Enrol here in a course and you will never regret that decision.

Maths is compulsory for BCA, but you have Manths in semester 1 and semester 2. You can take the admission check the university and college for the same.

Your marks depends on the cutoff, which can't tell you Right now. But you have to have very good marks. So score good then previous year's cutoff.
