College is not so attractive, but it is worth it.
Placements: Our college has only 30 students. The highest salary package offered is 7.5 LPA. Almost all students get internships. Top roles offered are biomedical officer and bioengineer.
Infrastructure: The hostel is well-maintained. The quality of the food is average. Wi-Fi is available. The hostel rooms are clean. Electricity is provided 24X7. Wardens are caring and good. Toilets are neat and clean. Classrooms are not clean. Labs are good.
Faculty: Semester exams are average. Our teachers are helpful and cooperative.
Other: Our college organises many events, such as the annual fest, etc.

Review of College of Engineering and Technology, Biju Patnaik University of Technology.
Placements: Every year our college creates the placement record than the previous year's performance. TCS and Accenture are the top recruiters from our college. Students from every branch got placed with a good salary package. Till date, the highest salary package offered is 15 LPA, which is given by Ajatus.
Infrastructure: Our college consists of 4 blocks separate for administration and departments. It also has a bigger library with a good quantity of books. A separate place is also allotted for sports, canteen and student activity area. The institution also provides free Wi-Fi with a better network and speed all around the campus.
Faculty: Faculty members available for the academic system are well-educated and highly skilled with a proper experience of how to teach students so that they can understand the course. Courses are highly relevant, and the syllabus is also sorted according to it.
Other: The college conducts two fests every year in February and March. It consists of various cultural programmes and events to participate and win even cash prizes.

I'm satisfied with our college because of the facilities and good faculty members.
Placements: About 70-80% of the students of our course are placed according to previous year data. The average salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. TCS, Accenture, and IBM are the top recruiting companies in our college. Around 60% of the students got internships in different companies. I don't know about roles offered because college doesn't reveal these to us.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is quite good for our course. We got separate classrooms, separate air-conditioned labs attached with high-tech equipment. The library is common for every course. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Hostel rooms are clean and hygienic. Quality of food served is also good. We have 3 canteens. Different types of sports field like football, cricket, basketball, tennis, badminton, etc., are available.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. We can ask them doubts at any time. The course curriculum is relevant if you are interested in the research line. Our teachers also are professionals. They also provide us with different notes to make us understand better.
Other: I opted for this course because I like biology. I want to go to the research area. Placement facility should be improved. We have 2 fests in a year one is a cultural fest, and the other is technical fest. Many scholarships are also provided. I also got two scholarships. Connectivity to the college is decent. We have a college bus, government bus and taxis are also available. Trees surround the campus. For extra activities, we got various clubs.

Best Government Engineering College of Odisha.
Placements: Almost 60% students are placed in my course. The highest Package was 7.5LPA and the lowest Package was 2.5LPA. Average was 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Biocon, Anthem Biosciences, Biomantra etc. Junior Lab Technician, Assistant System Engineer are the posts offered to students. Approximately 90% students got internship in different companies, IITs, NITs, NISER, EISER, ICT, VNIT, ILS.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is enabled in 110 acres of campus. Labs were good with fully AC. Infrastructure of Department is very nice. Both normal classrooms and smart classrooms are there for students. Digital Library and Offline Library was there for students. 2 boys hostel and 2 girls hotel are there. Good quality food with tight security for both boys and girls inside the hostel. Canteen is there for students. Inside campus, there is a Dispensary. Sports, Games and playgrounds are there for students.
Faculty: Yes teachers are very helpful. It is a government. College and leading college of Eastern India. Top recruiting faculty members are there. Teaching quality is also good. Syllabus by university is very effective to students. It is very workful in future. Yes the laboratory works are industrial oriented.
Other: This one of the rarest course in Engineering. Emerging research fields are there. I have chosen this course because I have to do a lot of research in Genetic engineering and technology. I want to add more Bioinformatics in my syllabus, that's upto digitalism in Biotechnology. Annual Cultural fest and technical fest is there for students. Participants from all over India come to our campus during these days. Central, State, college level scholarships are there for students. Extracurricular activities are there like different clubs and societies.

Considering every aspect, be it seniors, faculty or infrastructure, the college is worth joining.
Placements: This is the only government college in the capital city offering B.Tech in biotechnology. Being new (first batch 2011), placements in biotechnology are still not up to the mark. But one of our batchmates has started a startup related to pharmacy. Most of our seniors and also my batchmates are pursuing their M.Tech or placed in any biotech company. Knowledge gained is utmost important.
Infrastructure: The college is highly equipped with the latest technology like the latest version computers in bioinformatics lab with tools installed, HPLC, gas chromatography and fermenter etc. Research scholars are even helpful and guide properly. Well-designed infrastructure is available. Cafeteria, community hall, open-air theatre stage and administration building are all nearby. Our college focuses on every aspect to be modern and culturally fit.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are helpful and very approachable. You will be privileged working under the faculty members. The course curriculum is up to the mark. With every semester, the knowledge you gain will be utmost helpful to score better in both semesters and GATE. Do not be completely dependent on faculty members because spoon-fed knowledge is of no use.
Other: The college is 20-30 minutes away from the airport and railway station. When I was in college, it seemed to be a bit far if any small thing is required, but now, everything is nearby and reachable.

Holistic review of CET Bhubaneswar.
Placements: Placements are decent with majority of students bagging offers from IT MNCs like TCS, Wipro, Infosys. Core branches like mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation bag coveted offers from MSIL, Tata Steel, PPL. Several talented students in the past have qualified for Microsoft. Alumni are well settled across geographies and industry verticals.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is average purely because it is a state funded institute. It is interesting to note new branches like Biotechnology, Textile, Fashion have state of art laboratories. Campus has a robust Wi-Fi network which is a major relief for students. In terms of area, CET is one of the largest educational campus with more than 150 acres allocated for it. Lacks a good auditorium which affects the placements as CET being centrally located could host a lot of off campus processes but loses it to competing private universities. ERP implementation is undergoing which comes as a major relief.
Faculty: CET has acquired autonomous status and is claiming for university status, which has been long due. CET follows the BPUT curriculum but has faculty input because of autonomous status. As in case of most government Institutions, the college runs with majority of ad-hoc faculty members. This is a major issue hitting CET's long term growth.
Other: CET's cultural management annual fest is Xtasy and technical fest is Perception. Both are one of the biggest fests of the region and has witnessed major bollywood stars in the past. Jal, Euphoria, Kenny Sebastian have visited the campus in the past. Departmental fests are also there hosted by respective branches.

I'm proud to be a CETIAN-CET Bhubaneswar Alumni.
Placements: The placements of the college are excellent. In a batch of 360 students, almost 94% of students were placed. Companies like Maruti Suzuki, Asian Paints, Mu Sigma, TCS, Capgemini, Accenture, Vardhaman Textiles, and IBM etc., have visited our campus for recruitment. The highest salary package offered was around 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2.4 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college was established in 1981, and it's among the top government colleges in Odisha. The infrastructure of the college has improved a lot during my tenure with the new academic block, new hostels for gents and ladies and improvements in existing buildings. Overall, the infrastructure of the college is well above the mark.
Faculty: The faculty members comprised of the best and eminent professors in Odisha. They had a very good knowledge of the subjects, and the teaching style was very helpful for the students. The course offered in the 1st year is a bit tough with a constant pressure of tough subjects. But from 2nd year onwards, the curriculum is very flexible, and we get ample opportunities to participate in events of other colleges which are very helpful for overall improvement.
Other: The college organised a 3-day long annual techno-cultural fest in our final year. Many other top colleges of the state have participated in events like academic events, extracurricular and gaming events conducted in the fest. The campus is spread over in 100 acres land, and it is beautiful. It gives you a feeling of a premium institute. We are provided with a few scholarships by the state government and also a few scholarships by the college for the top 20 percentile students of each batch.

So overall this college has been very good and now its autonomous and not under BPUT anymore.
Placements: Good campus only for software applications. No campus for biotechnology jobs. Internship arrangements were done by colleges in OMFED and IMAGENEX. The salary range of placed students under software jobs is around 18000 to 20000. backlogs are not allowed to attend campuses.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very nice. Very spacious classrooms and corridors. But the area around the college is completely forest with no particular garden or lawn area. A basketball court, cricket and football playground and also courts for badminton, table tennis and various other sports. Different clubs such as music, dance, photography, robotics etc. Are also there. Different Buildings for different branches as well as all buildings are newly coloured and maintained with smart labs and super computers as well as smart classrooms and also a good Wi-Fi hotspot.
Faculty: Teachers are very nice and friendly. Some can be a little harassing though. The teachers are experienced but also old so not very mixing and also kind of strict. Sometimes do not help too. Other staffs such as lab assistants and canteen people are very nice and accomodating. Though the cooks are not great. 1 teacher attends to 60 students at one time so the classes can become too crowd and noisy. But overall teaching is nice.
Other: Many events are held such as the annual function XTASY and technofest PERCEPTION. Annual athletic meets and intercollege as well as interbranch engineering cups to keep up good sportsmanship among the students. Scholarships are also rewarded to students who get 6.5 above gpa along with no backlogs.
