OUTR is a beautiful journey with supportive teachers, a calm atmosphere, and ample placements.
Placements: I am from the 2023 batch of Textile Engineering course. Here they make sure every student is placed. If we have good academic grades and are attentively present in our classes then for sure they will help us. Almost 98% of students got placed including other branches well. Top recruiters of our college are TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Cisco, and Accenture. In my branch along with top recruiters other companies like Aditya Birla, Century Enka, Birla Century, Raymond, Welspun, Reliance, etc., visit the college for placements.
Infrastructure: For every practical, they help us to get hands-on EC at Labs from scratch. Wi-Fi is also available in the 1st year itself for which we need to collect the password from the respective department. Students can log in using their registration number and password provided. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals are available at the canteen, along with snacks, Dahi Wada, etc.
Faculty: Teachers were really helpful and supportive. Even during our free time we can go to their cabins and ask our doubts. We can send them over WhatsApp as well if you have any doubts. Every course is well-structured and designed to help us understand from basic to advanced. Before exams, they will share mock questions to brush up on our revised concepts as well. Our course is well designed with high teaching faculty members. They will teach us concepts in a way that we can remember easily.
Other: Every year they conduct the Engineers Cup an annual sports fest, Perception for 3 days (technical fest), and Xtasy for 3 days (cultural fests). They make sure our college life is not just about semester exams and labs but also fun. Sometimes they conduct DJ nights on Saturday as well.

Good placement, good hostel facility, Wi-Fi facility, fests.
Placements: There are many who found the placement in the college. If you have more than 8 CGPA, then you can early take a placement role. The highest package offered for textile is up to 30k, but in mechanical, the highest package is 8 lakhs. There are many companies like Reliance, Wezard, Honda, Maruti Suzuki, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of hostels is really good. There's 24/7 Wi-Fi available. There are also reading rooms, libraries, and a gym in the hostel. Water, family, and electricity facilities are there, and wardens are also very friendly. You can ask anything to the warden.
Faculty: Teaching quality is quite good. In a government college, you have to study yourself, but without the teacher, you can't do anything. There are smart classes in the college, and also AC classrooms. Teachers are friendly enough, and you can easily ask any doubts.
Other: There are many reasons behind choosing this course. I chose it because of placement, fests, and all the clubs like badminton, coding, etc.

The hostel was surrounded by green neem trees. The placements are okay.
Placements: There are few colleges in India which have a branch called Textile Engineering. I am proud that I got admission to this branch that too in MU own state. Many core companies like Reliance, Aditya Birla, Teejay, Alok, Arvind, Vardhaman etc. are a part of CET placement cell. Every year, they conduct drive and take deserving candidates.
Infrastructure: The hostel was surrounded by green neem trees with lots of birds. It always gave a positive vibe. The food cooked was just like Odia home food and you will get addicted to it. The washrooms were cleaned on daily basis and entire hostel was swept with infectant. There were many rules which needs to be followed for our safety.
Faculty: We were to have 2 semesters and 4 internals per session. There used to lab exam and viva for practical subjects. College also has different arenas for co-curricular activities. The teachers were highly qualified, quite helpful and friendly with us. The exam process used to be smooth and professional. We used to get deserving mark based on what we wrote in out answer sheets.
The answer sheets are checked manually to know our performance.
Other: Events were the best part in CET. College used to organise different events which helped students to showcase their extra co-curricular skills. There used to be 2-3 events every year including star night. Students from different colleges also take part in these events.

Great placements in 2022, not so good faculty members, and facilities equivalent to ZERP.
Placements: Around 40% of the students are placed. The average package is 3.2 LPA. Top companies include Accenture, Deloitte, Cognizant, PWC, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Robert Bosch, Goldman Sachs, etc. The roles offered to freshers in the IT stream in ASE.
Infrastructure: Number of hostels should be increased. Wi-Fi speed is great. Food quality was worse. Very limited option available n the college canteen. No power backup in situation of a powercut. No medical facilities were there.
Faculty: Professors were very good except for a few. The courses do make the students industry ready. The semesters are tough, very tough. The teachers are strict and you'll have a hard time scoring good marks. However, the pass percentage is above 95%. So the students don't really get year backs, they somehow pass with the lowest grades.

An awesome college with every facility.
Placements: Around 50% of students from our college have been placed. The average salary package is between 2 and 4 LPA. Companies like Aditya Birla, Accenture, Reliance, etc., came to our college for recruitment. Internships are being provided by colleges and students are also doing them by themselves. The Alumni Coordinator and Placement Coordinator are trying their best to get more placements.
Infrastructure: Our college has facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and a library available. All the facilities are well organized. The connection of Wi-Fi is very good. The smart classrooms have personal chairs and desks. They also have projectors connected to computers inside the class. There's also an air conditioner provided.
Faculty: The teaching quality of each and every teacher is the best. Our course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready. Exams are inspected very strictly and the examination department takes all the responsibility in an organised manner. The teachers help us out with exam preparation.
Other: Textile is one of the leading industries in India, and that's why I chose to do my B.Tech in textiles. The courses are vast and I am enjoying getting this much knowledge. The teachers are the best because, with them, studying becomes easy. Everything is the best: events, fests, campus crowds, connections, campus surroundings, scholarships, extracurricular activities, etc.

Review of CET- Bhubaneswar (now, Odisha University of Technology and Research).
Placements: In our college, more than 50% of students got offer letters from reputed core companies like Aditya Birla-Fashion and Retail, Reliance, etc., and also IT companies like TCS, Accenture, Infosys, and Cognizant. The packages offered to them varied from 4 LPA to 7-8 LPA. Maximum students also got internship opportunities in well-reputed companies.
Infrastructure: Our department is well-equipped with smart labs and classes. The labs have most of the necessary machinery for clear understanding and gaining practical knowledge. The whole campus is Wi-Fi enabled, which can be accessed by every student and faculty. There are libraries in each department, along with a common main library accessible to everyone, which contains all sorts of required books of good quality. Hostels are well maintained, with standard quality food served in hostel and canteen. There are indoor courts and outdoor playgrounds where various sports are organized.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and very knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is above par. As far as the curriculum is concerned, it is quite relevant and is always updated to make the students industry-ready. Semester exams are relatively easier to pass for someone who is thorough with the studies and syllabus.
Other: I chose this college because it is well-reputed and attracts a lot of major companies. Our college has been upgraded to the university status and has been renamed as Odisha University of Technology and Research. Along with studies and the ambient nature of the campus, technical and mega fests are organized annually, attracting a lot of crowd. The campus is located in the prime location of the city, making it easy to reach. Various clubs are run by various student groups where extracurricular activities are held like aerospace, coding, art and craft, music etc.

It is one of the best colleges in Odisha.
Placements: About 80-90% of the students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA, the average salary package offered was 6 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA. Top companies recruited from our course were Aravind, Raymond, Vardhman, etc. Almost all students got the chance to do internships in different companies. Quality executive, supervisor, etc., were the top roles offered.
Infrastructure: Our college has a very good infrastructure and provides all kinds of facilities. There is 24x7 Wi-Fi available on the campus and hostel. Labs are well-advanced, and all types of machines are available. Our library is vast with all types of books. The food was awesome in the mess and canteen. Our college provides very good sports and medical facilities.
Faculty: Teachers were very highly skilled and qualified. The teaching quality was excellent. Yes the course curriculum was highly relevant

Other: I did my diploma in textile, so I had to opt for textile engineering in B.Tech. This college provided me with the perfect opportunity. The best thing about our course is the practical classes. Everything was perfect in our course. Our college organised a technical fest and an annual fest, which were very enjoyable. Campus surroundings were neat and clean. Our college provided many extracurricular activities.

Our college is one of the best colleges in Odisha.
Placements: About 80 students are currently studying with me in textile engineering. Aravind offers the highest package with 5 LPA whereas Vardhaman textiles offers the lowest with 3 LPA. Internship opportunities are provided to all students in our branch in various textile companies. We can work in spinning department, weaving department and many other departments.
Infrastructure: We are provided with all kinds of facilities and the infrastructure here is also very good. College provides Wi-Fi 24*7. The labs are well-equipped with things required for every branch. There is a huge library always open for learning. Hostel facilities are also very good here. They provide tasty and hygienic food. College provides good medical facilities and the students always excel in sports and games.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable here. Teaching quality is awesome. They try their best by giving notes and information from all sources which gives us a lot of knowledge eventually making us industry ready. Semester exams are a bit difficult here. If we won't study then we won't get passed. Above 95% of students are passed always.
Other: I opted for the textile engineering because I wanted to pursue my career in something different like this. We learn about how yarns and fabrics are used in the industry for making clothes, blankets, mattress and many other things used in our daily lives. In today's world, the demand of textile engineering is very high. Our knowledge would improve and it would become more interesting if they will show us more advanced machines which are used in the industry. Our college always hosts 2 fests; one is the technical fest and the other one is annual fest. Both the fests are very interesting and enjoyable. Apart from that, there are a lots of other events that happen like the engineers cup in sports, college freshers etc. The crowd is always high here. Surroundings always remain neat and clean here. Various types of scholarships are provided every year like the prerna scholarship, merit Scholarship to students who excel in studies. Others extracurricular activities like hackathons, social service are also organized frequently.
