A review of CET, Bhubaneswar.

Placements: The college didn't provide any placements for post graduation courses. Only B.Tech students get placed in the college. Companies like TCS, Infosys, etc., recruit the majority of students. Very few students get placed in core companies like Maruti Suzuki and Tata Steel. There are no campus placements for M.Tech students. The course is only valid to increase your qualifications as you won't get any job from the college by pursuing M.Tech course.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. There are all kinds of labs available. But there are less number of faculty members in the college, and mostly guest or contract based lecturers take classes. The college charges a very high fee. There are a CAD lab and free Wi-Fi facility available across the campus. The college also provides hostels at cheap rates. The meal offered in the canteen is good. Faculty members in the college are very good and have a positive attitude. All staff members in the lab are helpful.

Faculty: All the senior faculty members are best in class. They have a vast knowledge of the subject matter. The course covers all necessary subjects that are required for a structural engineer, like composite structure, bridge engineering, advanced reinforced concrete design, etc. Faculty members also provide you notes of the topics. There is also a library in the college where you can issue up to 4 books. The faculty to student ratio is 1:30. There was a seminar on major or minor projects every quarter.

Other: My course is a self-funding one. The fee for M.Tech structural engineering is double the fee for other courses.
