Strong placements and excellent infrastructure, but the strict rules and curriculum could improve.

Placements: Pranveer Singh Institute of Technology (PSIT), Kanpur, is among the reputed private institutions in Uttar Pradesh with a strong placement record across engineering and management programs. The B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering batch of 2025, about 70% of students are placed, with the highest package offered touching 66 LPA, the lowest around 6 LPA, and an impressive average of 13 LPA. Overall, at the institute level, placement drives recorded nearly 95% success with over 2,640 job offers made to 2,315 eligible students.

Infrastructure: PSIT offers modern infrastructure with smart classrooms, Wi-Fi, well equipped labs, a rich library, and innovation centers. The hostels are secure and well maintained with decent mess food, medical support, and strong sports facilities, though discipline is quite strict.

Faculty: The faculty at PSIT is generally well qualified, supportive, and knowledgeable, with many teachers focusing on both theoretical and practical aspects of learning. The curriculum is regularly updated in line with AKTU guidelines and supplemented with industry oriented workshops, coding sessions, and soft skill training, which helps make students industry ready. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty, mostly application based but manageable with regular study, and the pass percentage is quite high, usually above 85 to 90%.

Other: I pursued B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from PSIT, Kanpur, in my batch. I chose this course because of my strong interest in technology, programming, and problem solving, and the growing career opportunities in the IT sector. The best things about the course are the modern labs, exposure to coding competitions, and placement opportunities with top recruiters. I feel the curriculum could include more cutting edge topics like AI, ML, and Data Science in greater depth, and there should be more flexibility for research oriented projects.

This college is good for students who want to enjoy or really want to do something big.

Placements: I am an IT student, and only 40% of my seniors got placed. The highest package is 40 LPA, and the lowest package is 3.5 LPA. TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and HCL are mass-hiring companies here. There is no internship here. The top role offered is a software engineer.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are too good. There is no problem with all of these, but the strictness is very high. There are not a lot of options in the college canteen and cafe. Mess food is not too good, but I can say that it is better than any other college around us.

Faculty: The course curriculum and teachers only focus on subjective knowledge. They are not trained to industry-level work, and things they teach are not useful for a student. Overall, they taught an outdated course and didn't say anything about the college exam. I did not see exams like AKTU University anywhere.

The safe and disciplined college of AKTU has a good placement record, but not much entertainment.

Placements: 70-75% of students got placed. The highest package is 50 LPA, which is offered by Google. The lowest package is 3 LPA, which is offered by HCL, and the average is 6 LPA. Top roles include SDE, Web Dev, Frontend Dev, and Backend Dev. Top recruiting companies are TCS, HCL, EPAM, Coforge, DeltaX, Tredence, LTIMindtree, JTG, Lokal, etc. 60% in my branch got internships.

Infrastructure: All facilities are available, but there are very strict rules for both boys' and girls' hostels. 1 LPA is the hostel fee. The Internet is through LAN, and the library is very good. All kinds of books are available. Classrooms are also very decent, with AC available everywhere. The mess is like every other college, not very tasty food, but hygienic.

Faculty: Faculty members are mixed. Some are very good and others are not so much. There are knowledgeable faculty members in college for each technology course. The curriculum is very relevant and one of the most disciplined AKTU colleges in India. There are training sessions always going on for students to get ready for the industry. Semester exams lie in the range from easy to moderate (can be passed easily if studying the day before the exam).

Other: It's a core department - Information Technologies. More time for self-learning is the improvement that should be there. Freshers every year for juniors, IGNITIA major cultural event, guests like Kailash Kher, etc., have come. A scholar is given from UP/AKTU. Sports are available after college only.

Life in PSIT - A very good place.

Placements: My college has around 3,000-4,000 students. I am in the 2nd year. This batch contains about 2,000 students. The new batch that came this year which is in 1st year has around 3,800 students. The highest salary package offered by Google was 66 LPA last year. The average salary package offered is around 12 LPA - 15 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is around 3 LPA - 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Amazon, and Google. About 60-80% of students got placed. Students approached for other degree courses.

Infrastructure: The whole campus has Wi-Fi. It is available everywhere. We have a good lapse. There are big and comfortable classrooms. We have a very useful library. There are very good hostel facilities. They are very comfortable and air-conditioned. The food is also very good. Medical facilities are there. Sports and games are regularly played in the form of club activities and others.

Faculty: Exams are held from time to time. Every month, they conduct small exams like assignments, class tests, and other types of exams like pre-university exams. It is very good. Teachers are very supportive. We have good courses.

Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. The best thing is that we can gain different types of knowledge we are not bound by. I want to improve my coding skills as I want to become a cloud engineer, so I am learning Python and Linux. Events like Ignesia happen every year for around one week. Celebrity guests arrive so that we can enjoy. The crowd is very good. Connectivity and all things are very good. Scholarships are also there.

PSIT is one of the best private colleges in Uttar Pradesh. They have the best faculty.

Placements: So, I am a student of B.Tech information technology from PSIT. In my college the placement is about 80 to 90 percent only in tech branches like CS and IT. The top recruiting company is in my branches like Infosys, TCS, Capgemini, and other good companies have offered good packages to students. The elite branch in my college is CS and IT. The highest in every year is increasing in this 2021 year the highest package is 40 LPA offers by cred and many students are offered above 20 LPA by different top companies and the average package is about 15 LPA and average package is increasing year by year.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is excellent in my college. There are all facilities given to students like RO water plant. Wi-Fi enabled campus, clean restrooms, AC in every class, internet connectivity through LAN port in every seat in every class, socket boards, good lighting, huge library having all types books, labs having powerful computers having i5 processors connected with 400mbps speed, in college there two canteens are also the AC dining area for all students. The best thing is the hostel is excellent having two single beds with good mattresses, two cubed, having 24*7 security for students.

Faculty: The best thing about my college is focuses on quality education for all types of students. There are many qualified faculty for every department in every section faculty is well qualified, helpful, and friendly. Every week college conduct tests for students. From an industry perspective, the college is also best for all the training provided to students related to their interests. The semester exam is moderate level and the marking is also good. The main point is the college focus only on good or interested students to improve them for good placements.

Other: The college organizes a big fest named, Ignitia. The campus has a good environment for study, and also has good staff for security. But the management is very strict and violation of rules cannot be tolerated.
