Everything you must know about Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College (DU).
Placements: There is a nominal placement cell that is very inactive, non-working, and non-interactive. Delhi University offers a wide variety of internships, but the college does not introduce us to those opportunities. In my two years of experience, I haven't seen the placement cell working actively.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good; Wi-Fi facilities are available in the library, and some halls also have AC. Improvement options include a better canteen and AC in classrooms. With the budget provided by the central government, better technology could be established. The network on the college campus is very poor; you have to step outside to make calls.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, but only 60% of them. The remaining 40% work according to their own schedules and moods. Some teachers try to pressure students with excessive workloads. They are often irregular and do not complete the course syllabus on time. They end up taking leaves and making people learn everything at the end through online modes (which is not allowed).
Other: I chose this batch/course because I was interested in learning about governance policies and how Indian administration works. Regarding improvement options, the seriousness of teachers in providing study material should be addressed, along with initiating interactive sessions for better understanding. Talking about the crowd (average), there is not much socializing; there are three main events throughout the year, which include the annual fest, sports week, and Diwali mela. Other events include exhibitions, workshops, etc. Extracurricular activities include debate societies, music society, sports, gym, NCC, NSS, etc.

Amazing facilities and practical activities.
Placements: I'm doing BA political science at this college and they offer many practical activities to participate in with field visits, etc. They send us to many field visits as interns, and DU provides many internships within the course enrollment period. We get to learn a lot of things.
Infrastructure: We got a canteen and food quality is pretty good and affordable, with lots of sports and opportunities. Medical facilities are also available. As it is a women's college, we are provided with some sanitation products, which includes period pads, etc. The classrooms are amazing too.
Faculty: The teachers are quite amazing and helpful towards students. They are qualified and highly educated and the course is relevant too. The semesters are not that difficult because of the teacher's helps us to get through all the activities and teaches us new things.

Training and placement cell under work.
Placements: The placement cell was not that active earlier, so there were issues regarding placements and internships, but now it's gaining attention due to their activeness, and hopefully, they will introduce better packages and internships as well. They have been seen working, so hopes are high.
Infrastructure: There are well-maintained laboratories for subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, and Food Tech. The college has a well-stocked library with a wide range of books, journals, and e-resources. The canteen also offers a good amount of food options, but at times the hygiene is not maintained. The campus includes great sports facilities for various physical activities, though we don't have badminton or table tennis courts. For medical facilities, we have a medical room that contains one bed and an almirah, and that's it. Wi-Fi or network accessibility is like finding water in a desert.
Faculty: Most of the faculty in our college are genuinely very good with their teaching and knowledge. Semester exams are not that difficult, and direct questions are asked from the syllabus. If you study before the exams, you will pass easily. The passing percentage is 33 percent, I guess.
