Good environment and infrastructure.

Placements: During my batch (2021-24), there were around 62 students in our course Geography Hons. Genuinely, if I tell you the truth, there are no such placements for Geography Honors students, but also the placements at our college are not so good. But our department (geography) always conducts various seminars and lectures for students related to discipline.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of SPM College is very good if compared to other colleges in DU. The college provides Wi-Fi facilities, but there is a problem with the network and nice library. The food of our canteen's food is so tasty and hygiene, but our geography department has good labs (GIS lab) and a good classroom with smart boards.

Faculty: The geography department of Spm College is the best department, and I think our geography department is one of the best geography departments in DU. The teachers of our department are highly experienced and well educated. The way of teaching is amazing. They teach each and every topic very well and deep and semester exam are conducts according to university 's syllabus pattern.

Other: Actually, I have an interest in geography. So, I chose this course, and I feel it is a more practical subject than other humanities courses. The college regularly organizes events, fest, seminars, sports, etc.

A good infrastructure and faculty. Provided with most basic needs.

Placements: Placements are not provided on a large scale and reason can be that there is off campus placements. As well as, for humanities stream it's quite difficult to get placement. But if you got your M.Sc. Geoinformatics, Remote Sensin, GIS then it's quite effective and helpful in your career.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good with proper ventilation and space. There are well-set cartography lab and computer labs for geography students. As well as food available in canteen is also good and provided in different varieties as well as canteen is quite big.

Faculty: Every faculty is highly qualified and they help in every sphere to a student as well they motivate them to participate in extra curricular activities. They try to conduct a seminar at least once in 3 months. Even the syllabus is not so difficult if students revise everything on time.

College life here is excellent.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our department is excellent. Classrooms are big and have proper ventilation. Projectors are available in classrooms. Elevators are provided for students' convenience. Excavation maps are also provided. The library is huge and consists of books related to different courses.

Faculty: Faculty members are excellent. They are supportive, highly qualified, and humble. They understand students' problems very well. Our course curriculum is relevant. I would highly recommend this college to students.

Other: I opted for this course because I love to study geography. I scored 85% in board examinations. I scored 91 marks in geography, that's why I was eligible for geography honors. Other curricular activities are also conducted. Fests are held every year. All the services are available on campus. It consists of a stationary shop, a photocopy shop, and an ATM as well. Scholarships are provided to needy students. Surroundings are well-maintained, and girls are safe in this college. Internship programs are held in this college.

Good college for women with good infrastructure and supportive faculty.

Placements: The college is providing us with all facilities to enhance our ability. They always do seminars for students. Lab work is good. They teach us the most relevant things like GIS and programming languages that are too useful nowadays.

Infrastructure: The network is a little bit slow here. My lab which is geography is too good. The classroom is bigger and the library is also too good and also our library is launching a website soon for students to help them for searching their books from the library. The canteen is also good.

Faculty: Teachers are too good as well as our principal. Semester exams are easily depending on the students how they take them. And teachers are too good and helpful. Teachers are qualified and they teach in the best way. They try to understand the student's mind of understanding and they teach accordingly.

The college is just awesome along with the faculty members and the environment.

Placements: For my course, the required percentage is quite high like one has to get minimum 80% marks to get admission in my college for geography honors. The seminars take place regularly regarding the future of students. Enormous amount of internships take place in every field for the betterment of students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is just awesome, especially the canteen, library and the auditorium. According to me, the college has the best canteen in the whole university. There are computer labs, geography lab and a mathematics lab in my college. The medical facilities are awesome and very actively available. The sports department is also very active and awesome.

Faculty: The teachers are really very supportive, especially of my department. They really made the learning easy and interesting. They are very well qualified and much knowledgeable. The geography department is great and so is the course. The semester exams are really very smooth and good and the pass percentage is neither too high nor too low.

Other: I chose my course for UPSC but this course is really amazing. Geography is a great subject and a scoring one. The events are regularly held in our college and the campus and everything is just great here.

This college is underrated but good if you want non-co-education. You won't regret it after passing.

Placements: The placement cell of SPM is quite active. Students get a number of opportunities for internships both offline and work from home, but most of them are non-technical. Internships are mostly provided for the roles of HR, marketing, graphic designers, content writers, business analysts, ambassadors, etc. In those internships, you will get benefits like incentives (both compulsory and performance-based), LOR (letter of recommendation) and an experience certificate. The best part is that students from our course can apply for internships.

Infrastructure: There is a separate space for the geography department in the new building of SPMC, which has a cartography lab, a computer lab and many classrooms. There are a lot of books on geography in the library. If there is a lack of any book, we used to complain to the senior faculty member, and she used to take needed action. So, the geography department has all the infrastructure, which we required for practicals as well as theory papers. SPMC doesn't have a hostel facility.

Faculty: We were fortunate to get such cooperative and caring faculty members for the geography department. They all are well qualified and sorted our academic as well as life-related troubles. The course curriculum is relevant to competitive exams like civil services, etc. Moreover, after completing graduation, students can opt for M.A or specialised study in population geography, environmental science, GIS (geographical information system) and remote sensing, etc.

Other: B.A Hons in geography was introduced in 2018 in SPMC, i.e., we are the first batch of the geography department. However, despite that, the department has the required infrastructure like labs are available on time. B.A Hons in geography is best suited for students who want to opt for geography as an optional in civil services. After B.A, it is recommended to opt for specialised study in M.A if students don't want to opt for civil service and want to pursue higher studies. It is a girls college, so if you can manage in such an environment, then there is no need to bother about anything. But if you want co-education, then opt for co-education colleges of DU. The department organises Geo fest. The college also organises a college fest for 3 days in which students from all over DU participate, where sports day, annual programme, etc., are organised. The college is located in a residential area, and thus it is well connected with Shivaji Park metro station (Green Line) and the bus stops of SPM College and Shivaji Park.

It is the best college for students.

Placements: Almost 50%-60% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary offered was Rs. 60,000 per month. The lowest salary offered was Rs. 10,000 per month. The average salary offered ranges from Rs. 20,000 per month to Rs. 30,000 per month. Around 80%-90% of students got internships in our course.

Infrastructure: The hostel facilities were good. The food quality was better. Wi-Fi, laboratories, and classrooms were excellent. The canteen facility was not good. Street food was available on our campus.

Faculty: Our teachers were helpful. This course was divided into semesters. Our course curriculum was relevant to make students ready for the industry. Semester exams were moderate.
