The college was good in the past, but now it is just a shadow of what it used to be.

Placements: Around 50% of students get placed directly last year, which is a decline compared to previous years. The placement rates are decreasing. The highest package is around 5 LPA for a student working at a Tamil Nadu nuclear plant. The lowest packages are from IT companies, averaging about 20,000 per month.

Infrastructure: The college doesn't have its own hostel. The campus is very small and doesn't have a football ground or proper sports facilities. The mechanical lab has outdated equipment that is not commonly used in the industry today. There is free Wi-Fi in the library, and the library facility is good.

Faculty: Faculty members are really helpful, but most of them teach only theory, as if they are teaching high school students. They don't focus much on the practical aspects. However, the staff who do teach effectively deliver their lessons with maximum effort.

Other: I opt for Mechanical Engineering because I am fascinated by how an engineer can craft new things with advancements in technology. However, here, there is only theoretical study and no practical activities. The potential of many students is wasted.

I recommend this college because the crowd and campus life are very good.

Placements: Around 90% of students were placed in my college, with placement opportunities in companies like TCS, UST, Tata Elxsi, Infosys, and many others. The average salary package offered through placement is 5 lacs per annum, while the highest package is 15 lacs per annum.

Infrastructure: SCT is one of the best colleges in Trivandrum, providing an overall well-developed character. The campus features a mild mix of campus politics with good educational facilities that really develop informed graduates. SCT boasts one of the largest workshop blocks and modern facilities, including libraries and labs. The overall campus life offers a vibrant and inclusive environment. The main disappointment is that the college lacks hostel facilities and a college ground.

Faculty: Faculty members should have good teaching skills, the ability to engage students, and provide clear communication and mentorship. The faculty members are highly qualified, with advanced degrees (M.Tech, Ph.D.) in their fields. The KTU syllabus is not difficult; in fact, it is much easier compared to what you encounter in 12th grade.

Other: I’m interested in designing and building machines and mechanisms. The course provides opportunities for hands-on learning and experimentation with a variety of specializations, enhancing opportunities for innovation and creativity. SCT College hosts the biggest fest, Cult Away, every year.

Placements: The percentage of students placed in your course is higher than at the other colleges. The highest, the lowest and the average package offered in our course are interesting. There are many top recruiting companies at our college every year. The placement in our college is sure .

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure available for your course/department are good. All the faculty members are very helpful. They help us in the overall admission process and are very helpful. The qualifications of faculty members are good and helpful.

Faculty: The teachers are very helpful in the admissions process and are very qualified. We will be able to understand that in the way of teaching. And the course curriculum is relevant. It makes the students industry-ready. The semester's exams aren't difficult .

A perfect college for an all-in-one experience in engineering.

Placements: Above 80% of the students are placed in reputed companies. Besides being specific to companies, every course we take can guarantee a placement given the student's performance in the semester. Tata Elxsi is one of the top companies that recruits our students. In addition, we have internships that are offered by most of the companies that have major tie-ups with our campus.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is standard. It was modernized quite recently with smart classes. Computer labs are more customized. We have a variety of collections in the library. High-quality food is provided in the canteen. The labs are set up separately. Workshops are equipped with top-quality equipment.

Faculty: The faculty members are highly committed to our academic matters. Internals are manageable given that we are putting in ample effort. Semesters are set to be tough. However, a very good performance in internals can help you pass semesters easily. We need 75 marks overall in all subjects to be considered passed.

Other: One of the most demanding streams is mechanical engineering. We also have a lot of seats available for this course. Looking at events, they are conducted very frequently, both by the college and the political system.

It is a very good college for academics and co-curricular activities.

Placements: There are 60 students in our college. Workshops are conducted for students. Many core companies visit our college for recruitment. The maximum salary package offered was 8 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. Many tech-based companies visit our college to hire students.

Infrastructure: Our college has a proper auditorium and a playground. Laboratory facilities are available on campus. A canteen facility is also available. There is no hostel for boys or girls. The food served at the hostel is better.

Faculty: All professors have good experience in teaching. Their teaching quality is also good. Our course curriculum is relevant and makes students ready for the industry. There are two-semester exams.

Other: Cult-a-way is the biggest cultural event at this college.
