SMEAT Counselling 2026 - Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology conducts the counselling for SMEAT 2026 separately for each round. SMEAT Interview-Counselling will start from May 28, 2026, till June 12, 2026. 

As part of the SMEAT 2026 counselling process, any SMEAT 2026 applicant who is allocated a seat has to pay the fees (Part 1 or Part 2) before the given deadline. Part I, Part 2, and any balance fees have to be paid by the given deadline. 

The shortlisting of candidates for SMEAT 2026 counselling will be done based on SMEAT 2026 scores. Meanwhile, the allotment of seats for SMEAT 2026 will be done based on the merit rank of the candidate and the course opted for admission. Read on for detailed information.

Know how to check SMEAT merit list below.

  1. Visit SMEAT website - http://srishtimanipalinstitute.in/
  2. Click on 'SMEAT Merit List 2026' tab
  3. Merit list of SMEAT 2026 is displayed on screen.
  4. Look out for your name, OR press Ctrl+F and type your name
  5. You can now check if you have been shortlisted or not

Note: The SMEAT 2026 Merit list will include information like candidate's name, roll number, category, and program name. Shortlisted candidates have to confirm acceptance by paying fee before deadline.

SMEAT 2026 is expected to be conducted in an online mode in 10 cities. The exam will be conducted in multiple rounds.

SMEAT 2026 entrance exam result for Round 1 will be declared on April 29, 2026. Results will be declared online at admission portal of the institute. To check results, candidates need to log in using their credentials. Last date to pay the caution money is May 13, 2026.

Documents Required for SMEAT 2026 Counselling

Some of the documents that candidates need to carry at the time of the SMEAT Counselling round are mentioned below.

  • Class 10 mark sheet and certificate
  • Class 12 mark sheet and certificate
  • Graduation mark sheet and degree
  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • Proof of date of birth
  • Passport-size photographs

SMEAT Eligibility Criteria 2026

The candidate must ensure they meet the SMEAT 2026 eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. Note that all documents will be verified at the time of counseling. If any anomaly is found, the candidate may be disqualified.

Eligibility Criteria for the UG Programme

Applicants should have completed any ONE of the following minimum educational qualifications:

  • National and international boards like CBSE/ISC/IB/AICE/A Level
  • State Board, Junior College, Intermediate, HSSC, PUC, Senior Secondary
  • National Institute of Open Schooling, New Delhi (NIOS)– Senior Secondary
  • NSQF Certification Level 4
  • High School Diploma (USA/Canada) – Senior Secondary completed with equivalence as per AIU
  • State Board of Technical Education – Diploma equivalent to PUC/Class 12

Note: Please note that all awarding bodies must be recognized by the state and/or central government institutions. Attach two copies of the relevant certificates.

Age Limit: There is no age limit for candidates applying for UG course admissions at the Srishti Institute of Art, Design, and Technology. However, the official website informs that in case students above 30 years of age want to apply for the UG programs, they are informed that the average age of the class at Srishti is 18 to 25 years. 

Eligibility Criteria for PG Professional Programme

Applicants should have completed any ONE of the following:

  • NSQF Certification Level 8 in the relevant industry sector
  • National and International Universities – 3-year Undergraduate Degree + 1-year Postgraduate Diploma Program (PGDP) from a recognized University
  • National and International Universities – 4-year Undergraduate Degree
  • Professional Institute – 5-year Undergraduate Degree

Age Limit: There is no age limit for candidates to apply for PG courses. However, candidates may be informed that the average age of the class at Srishti is 25 to 35 years.

Eligibility Criteria for Postgraduate Arts Programme

Aspirants seeking admission in MA Full Mode, MA Dual Mode, as well as PG Diploma courses at Srishti need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

  • National and International Universities – Three-year Undergraduate Degree
  • National and International Universities – Four-year Undergraduate Degree
  • Design Institutes – Four-year Undergraduate Diploma in Art and/or Design
  • Professional Institutes – Five-year Undergraduate Degree
  • NSQF Certification Level 7 in the relevant industry sector

Age Limit: There is no age limit for candidates to apply for PG course admissions at Srishti Institute of Art, Design, and Technology.

SMEAT is a national level entrance exam conducted by the Srishti Manipal Institute of Art, Design and Technology. For this academic session, entrance exam has three admission rounds. Note that for each round, the application process will be conducted separately. 

 

Q:   When is the right time to solve sample papers for SMEAT 2026?
A: 

Sample papers can be solved as part of one’s exam preparation strategy very early on. 

If you have completed a few topics given in the SMEAT 2026 syllabus, you may solve all the relevant problems related to the chapters that you have completed. Once you have completed the syllabus, you will be able to attempt the entire sample paper.
