Great facilities, infrastructure, a vibrant campus life, and a lively crowd make it worth it.
Placements: In Political Science, only a few number of students actually look for direct campus placement opportunities. But for the ones who want them, there's a good chance of securing a good placement through the placement cell, which is prominent in the college.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is great. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. We have an air-conditioned library with a vast variety of books and an overall really beautiful and green campus. There's an affordable canteen and an attractive nestled joint for kids to hang out. The campus is big and very spacious.
Faculty: Our faculty is exceptionally good and well-educated. The exams are typically DU centralized, making them moderately difficult. The teachers are understanding and very flexible. The course is thoroughly followed and is curriculum-relevant, and the college prepares you for the outside world.
Other: Our college's annual fest, Nexus, is one of the best in DU. And the college is great and one of the best DU colleges you can get yourself into.

Strong academics and vibrant campus, but needs more practical exposure.
Placements: During my time at SVC, I noticed that 60-70% of students managed to land jobs, which varied by year and specialisation. The top salary package reached around 10 LPA while the lowest is roughly 3.5 LPA. Some of the leading companies that come to recruit include Deloitte, EY, KPMG, Genpact, Wipro, and a bunch of exciting startups in the consulting and ed tech fields. When it comes to internships, 40-50% of students found opportunities. The most sought-after roles are in business development, consulting, data analysis, content writing, and marketing.
Infrastructure: The facilities for my course at SVC are pretty decent, though basic. Classrooms are spacious and come with proper seating but lack of ACs can make things a bit comfortable during summers. The library is well stacked. While there are not any dedicated labs for humanities courses, we do have access to general ones like computer labs. Hostel situation is somewhat limited, the rooms are manageable but not exactly modern. The mess food is above average but the canteen offers a variety of taste at reasonable prices.
Faculty: Teachers at SVC are very helpful, well qualified, and knowledgeable, especially when it comes to core subjects. Overall, teaching quality is solid. Semester exams tend to be moderately challenging, primarily focusing on theory, and the pass rate is not that high, with most students managing to pass comfortably.
Other: I picked this course because I am genuinely interested in the subjects and I have heard great things about SVC's academic standing. The syllabus covers a lot of ground, and faculty members are really supportive. However, I do wish there were a bit more focus on hands-on experience and skill-building. The campus has a lively environment with events like Nexus (college fest). It's conveniently located near the metro and close to Satya Niketan.

Review of Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi.
Placements: I am in my first year and anyway in arts courses particularly in mine, placements are rare, so I can't blame the college but in courses like B.Com. Honors packages are good. So, if you are willing to get a placement choose the course wisely and then the college can help you.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good and well-maintained, though classrooms require some renovation but still, it is better than most co-education DU colleges in the South. Also, sports infrastructure is good and the tennis courts are just too good so as with the badminton court.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified some from JNU or DU itself while some are from foreign universities. In general for my course I found faculty members are very helpful and skilled though at times they are not able to communicate much with students but they give attention to you if you ask doubts outside the class as well.
Other: College is good, with faculty members, infrastructure, and all but in the end, you have to be responsible for yourself. If you are looking for government jobs then you will face difficulty in balancing college with that.

College is my second home.
Placements: Our College is quite famous for its good placement offers especially for the courses like B.Com and Economic Hons. As far as the Political science department is concerned, we have good placement history from big companies like American Express with a very alluring high package. The average package is nearly 10LAP.
Infrastructure: The infrastructural facility is also quite good. We are having a big playground with a tennis and badminton court, classrooms equipped with the necessary infrastructure and the canteen is also fine. A new building is newly constructed with all the spacious rooms and laboratories and many works is still under construction.
Faculty: Our teachers are highly qualified and experienced. No doubt one of the teachers is with high cut-offs on the south campus. We also have mandatory attendance requirements that keep students disciplined and studying accordingly. Our political Science department is having very experienced teachers and many renowned alumni belong to our college. Exams are of moderate level and almost every student manages to pass them ( though there are exceptions sometimes). Teachers use modern technologies like smart boards and laptops to teach. In our political Science classroom, we have mikes and speakers too as we have a big classroom which makes it easier for students to listen to the teachers.

Venky : a fantastic vibe.
Placements: EY, Dalberg, McKinsey mostly employ children from B.Com and Eco. Not a lot of options for kids in my course. Average CTC is 3-4 lacs. Top roles are Analyst, Operations, Marketing. The highest CTC is 8 lacs. Mostly people from my course go on to higher education.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is decent and adequate. There is a newly constructed basketball court. No Wi-Fi. Food ranges from South Indian cuisine to Chinese and Jalebis. Don't know if we ever had a medical room though. Classrooms and library are the usual DU standard.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified. The course curriculum is diverse, which does make you a bit unsure about your Master's. The pass percentage is low, and average is 70%. It's a decent curriculum and course, not that difficult. Sometimes a little boring in the second year.
Other: I miss my college life. The events were amazing, the people are awesome.

Review of Sri Venkateswara College, University of Delhi.
Placements: The placements are quite lucrative, which are provided by the placement cell of our college. We used to receive leads of at least 3-4 placement opportunities every day. Moreover, apart from college-level placements, nowadays, we have department-level placement cells too, with loads of opportunities.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good, especially the classrooms allotted to the political science department are the best ones. The college lacks in providing good internet connectivity. Besides, there are good sports facilities. The canteen is affordable and well maintained.
Faculty: The faculty members in political science and a few history teachers who taught us are quite experienced and up to date. They believe in interacting with students. Whilst, the quality of teaching is an individual trait of the person teaching. Some students like it, and some don't. Overall, it is good. The political science course is highly competitive, interesting and relevant.
Other: Sri Venkateswara College has one of the best crowds in the country. More than teachers, you will get to learn from your peers.

A place to grow dynamically and to learn a lot.
Placements: The department of political science doesn't offer any placements. But the college has good placement records. Students of the commerce and economics department were offered good salary packages. Regular seminars and workshops are conducted throughout the year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is good. The campus is green and spacious. The Wi-Fi facility is not that good, and the college lacks an auditorium and a basketball court. The college has very good lecture halls. The well-maintained cricket ground is surely an outstanding feature.
Faculty: The faculty members are very erudite and aware. They carry good experience and are very friendly. They have good teaching experience which is reflected in their teaching styles. The curriculum is also very interesting and enchanting. The seminars are a good feature.
Other: The campus is good, and ECA is excellent.

A college worth your marks.
Placements: I feel that the placements provider weren't finicky at all this year. I believe 50% of students got placed and the remaining who didn't get placed were my enemies. So I was really happy even after getting rejected by a company. Two of my best friends Shantanu Jha and Abhimanyu Budhraja got a high paid job. I'm proud of them, though their work keeps them busy and they hardly talk with me now. Around 15-20 companies had come, and they took all my friends, there was a guy Amrit Kashyap Vigyan Yadav who cracked the personal interview round to bag a whooping 10lakh as his annual salary. The very next day he took every single member of the college to Chandni Chowk where we relished Mughlai food however his best friends(excluding me) were taken to Bukhara.
Infrastructure: Our college has the best of the facilities with the library, classrooms, and medical facilities are all under a roof. The ground is circular and we could play football and cricket on it. However, there is a separate court for volleyball and badminton attached to the ground. The college's location is considered notable as the newly built Satya Niketan metro station is nearby.
Faculty: The faculty of our college is spot on, and the teachers have a vast knowledge in the field they teach. The checking is quite lenient too. The professors are friendly, and you could approach them anytime if you have any doubts. There is no such specific teaching method, but the way they teach is appreciated by every student here at Sri Venkateswara College.
Other: Our college is the best college of south campus and the placements of our college are also great. My college has helped me a lot which I couldn't get in a couple of years back, and it also shaped my character. I met many beautiful people because of this college, and I feel they will stay until eternity.

Yes, you can get admission in some colleges in the evening shift if you are from other categories like OBC, SC, ST. If you are from a general category, then there will be fewer chances to get admission to good colleges, and it will depend on the cutoff then.

Dear Anshu Kumar, Eligibility for admission in a B.A.(Political Science) - Three Years Duration Course is a Pass in H.S.C.(+2 STD) with any Group/ Stream. But you have passed SSC (10STD) & D.C.S.E. (3 Years), so you are also eligible.
