Overall a decent experience with good opportunities.

Placements: The placements here are somewhat decent. I would not say they are that great as compared to the circuit L branches but they are good. Around 75-80 percent of people get placed. Average package is around 10 LPA. The lowest being offered is like 5 LPA - 6 LPA, depending on the year you are seeing. Top recruiting companies include Vedanta, etc. For us, 3 vocational training is compulsory which is provided by the college itself its very helpful for you to get placed in the company.

You had to qualify JEE to get into this.

Placements: The placements were good for circuit branches like CSE, ECE, EEE, and Mechanical as well. For other departments, placements were decent. Typically, students in the 5th and 6th semesters had opportunities to apply for on-campus internships, while those in the 7th and 8th semesters applied for placements. Companies like Google, Oracle, Goldman Sachs, Hilti, Wells Fargo, DE Shaw, NatWest, ZS Associates, John Deere, UBS, Reliance, Samsung, and others visited the campus. The highest package offered w...

The view of VNIT college from the eyes of a sophomore.

Placements: For mechanical engineering branch in the year 2024-2025, a placement percentage of 95+ was achieved, with the highest package being given by BPCL. The average and median were about 11.6 LPA and 10.8 LPA, respectively. The college has a reputation for having a higher placement percentage for mechanical students, even when compared to CSE from the last 2 years.

Visvesvaraya NIT College review.

Placements: About 80% of students managed to get placed. The highest salary package on the table is around 13 LPA, while the lowest sits at about 5 LPA. Most of the recruitment action comes from companies like ZS, JSW, Jindal Steel, Birla, and Varroc. Unfortunately, only a handful of students snagged internships at our college. Most have to venture out and search for opportunities elsewhere. The top job roles being offered usually include positions like consultant and view engineer.

No you can not get direct admission in VNIT Nagpur as the institute accepts students only on an entrance basis. You must appear for the accepted exam like JEE Mains, GATE, IIT JAM, etc. and then participate in the counselling process for seat allotment.
