My college makes my life.
Placements: In my batch, there are 100 batchmates, with 25 girls and 75 boys. The placement percentage from my branch is 65%. There are four students change their branch from Civil to Computer, Electronics, Mechanical, etc. Some students left the college.
Infrastructure: My college provides facilities like singing, gymnastics, and an auditorium. There is a classroom complex with 40 rooms, each having AC facilities. The fest I like is Keyan, which is held in every classroom, and the ventilation system in classes. There are more than 5,000 students in my college.
Faculty: The first-year exams are so hard. Teachers are helpful, and there is no chance of cheating during examinations. Teachers are very mindful and educated. Almost all teachers have a Ph.D. degree. The most difficult subjects I face are Chemistry and Physics because they are absolute in marking.
Other: I chose this course because I am passionate about building, and my goal is to become a builder. There are many clubs in my college, such as Hallabol Cell, Samwad, etc. There are two fests celebrated in our college Axis, a technical fest, and Aarohi, a cultural fest.

All you want to know about VNIT.
Placements: Talking about the placement scenario of civil as per the data of the current year 2024-2025 about 60% of students got placed. This year the highest package in civil is 21 LPA where the median and average package are 8 LPA and 9 LPA, respectively. The lowest package is 3 LPA, to know the placement statics of VNIT in previous years you can visit www.vnit.com. Companies like BPCL and Reliance such companies visit VNIT every year to hire students. 30%-40% of students got internships in their 3rd year like BPCL reliance you can check on the web for further details.
Infrastructure: Civil department is a very old building. It provides free Wi-Fi and labs are also well-maintained. Classrooms too are in very good condition with the necessary equipment like a projector and mic available. VNIT has a very great and good library. Hostel facilities are very good we get 24 24-hour hot water for batch. About mess food it is decent. VNIT has many canteens on campus but it also has a night canteen in hostel. Health center is also there on campus. VNIT has a very great and developed sports complex having every sport.
Faculty: Generally, all professors in VNIT are qualified from IITs holding Ph.D. degrees with them. The teaching of professors is decent. Course curriculum is good and it helps students to go into industry. Semester exams are pretty difficult you cannot pass by studying the night before exams like in other engineering colleges. Pass percentage is about 80%.
Other: I chose civil because I am inclined to UPSC civil services. The placement states shot increase as per my opinion placement percentage should touch from 60% to 90%. Many events like IG and DG are conducted. Campus life is the best in VNIT. VNIT is located in middle of the Nagpur city every necessary thing is available easily near the campus. Lots of extracurricular activities used to happen in college.

VNIT Nagpur, placements, hostel, and curriculum review.
Placements: Around 78% of the students were placed in campus placements this year. The highest placement offered in civil engineering was 20 lacs, which was from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited. The lowest package, or I can say the average package offered in my college or in my course, is around 11 lacs. The top recruiting companies are BPCL, ZS Associates, and Larsen and Toubro. Around 50% of the students got internships from companies that came to recruit. The top roles offered in the companies are engineering-related.
Infrastructure: A 450-square-foot library area for getting vast education or learning. I can say that there are a lot of books because there are thousands of books present in the library. The quality of food is good, and they are having a common hospital inside our college that is known as the Health Centre VNIT. All the treatment can be done on a government-paid basis, and the sports and game facilities we have include international swimming pools of Olympic size and have all the sports facilities including basketball, cricket, running, volleyball, football, and badminton indoor courts and much more, including table tennis.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are very helpful and well qualified from foreign universities and are very knowledgeable. The teaching quality is, I can say, on the next level. In the course curriculum, it is also relevant and provides students with practical experience that will help them apply the students for applying the applications of theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge they got in the college to express in the industry level thinking and the semester exams are quite easy for those who study hard and carefully. The past percentage is about 99% and the course curriculum is good.
Other: If we have a keen interest in engineering because I came from a civil engineering background, that's why I chose the scores. We have one cultural fest in one technical fest that is the largest technical fest in Central India. That is named Aarohi. The technical fest is named AXIS. Every year, our college organisation institute gathering is like basically a sports meet. It is an annual sports meet in which all the departments compete with each other. After 10 days, the final department will be given an award for being first and second and having a lot of extra-curricular activities: continuing student clubs (Prayas and Coding), entrepreneurship clubs, and much more.

100% Placement for CSE Department Students in 2023, the Highest Package Was 64 LPA.
Placements: About 64.56% students were placed in the year 2024.
The highest package in the Civil department in the year 2024 was 18 LPA, the lowest was 6 LPA, and the average was 6.8 LPA.
Top recruiting companies were L&T, Vedanta, Afcons, NMRC, Bajaj Steel, etc.
Top roles were Junior Architect, Trainee Engineer, Procurement Executive, Trainee Faculty, GTE/PTE.
Infrastructure: There are good facilities in the classroom and the library. Wi-Fi speed is good, and labs are equipped with the latest instruments.
Hostel rooms are also spacious, have Ethernet speed up to 800 Mbps, and food quality is very good, with very little oil and spices used.
VNIT has its own health center near the boys' hostel, and doctors are available every day. Emergency services and an ambulance are available 24/7.
Faculty: Teachers here are highly qualified from prestigious institutions like IIT Madras, etc.
Every class has teachers from their own department as well.
Semester exams are a little tougher than other private institutes to maintain the level of the institute.
Other: Civil engineering is related to real-life fieldwork, which creates an interest in me for studying it more and more.
The only thing I want to remove is the restrictions from the dean, directors on the events.

Placements: The placements are good in NIT Nagpur. There will be visiting companies for civil engineering like L&T, Tata Projects, and some public sector firms. The highest package is 34 Lacs per annum for civil engineering, and the average package is 8 Lacs per annum. The placement percentage is 85.
Infrastructure: Hostel rooms will be good, but we need to adjust to the hostel mess. The hostel mess will be the same as in all colleges. Snacks will be provided in the evening, and the hostel cost is around 64 thousand per year. The college fees are around 1 Lakh sixty thousand per year.
Faculty: The faculty will be good in NIT Nagpur because it is in the top 10 list of national institutes of technology. The exams will be conducted twice per year. If you prepare before the exam, you might not be able to write the exam properly as the questions will be moderate to tough.

My college life experience.
Placements: About 70 percent of people were placed. The lowest offered package is 5 Lacs per annum and the highest goes for non-core. In core, the average is 7 Lacs per annum. Very few get internships through college, and others go through connections. Around 20 got internships via college.
Infrastructure: The library is open for all students and faculty. Students can issue books and reissue them. Classrooms, in depth, are pretty old, so no AC is installed. But classrooms in CRC, which are newly constructed, have AC, especially on the top floors. Labs are mostly situated in departments; a few are in the academic building.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and also possess very good knowledge. A few are able to provide complete knowledge, whereas others find some aspects difficult. The course curriculum is good, but experience matters more. Semester exam questions and questions taken during lectures have the same difficulty, so they are fine.
Other: Each batch consists of 100/2 students. I chose this course because I was only somewhat interested in civil engineering. This is the oldest and also day-to-day type of engineering, which can be found anywhere and is foundational.

I'm feeling very grateful for the early days of this College.
Placements: It was great to study here because there were great opportunities from the 3rd year to the final year for placements, offering roles on site to Project Management, Land T, Tata Engineering, Godrej and Boyce, etc. Many highly reputed companies were coming for Placements.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi-Labs and classrooms are very well constructed and maintained. All departments have all types of infrastructure and academic necessary things. All types of facilities are given for students with comfort, such as hostels, hygienic campus, also well-canteen and sports grounds.
Faculty: Teachers are very well qualified, also they are IIT graduates; their teaching is also very good as they give practical examples. Our syllabus was very helpful for students to be employed or be businessmen in their future. Life-semester exams are tough, so only 70 percent of students get passed.

A student perspective of NIT Nagpur.
Placements: The percentage of students who got placed in my course is 80 percent. The highest package in civil engineering is 24 LPA. The lowest package is 6 LPA, and the average package is 8 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Google, L&T, SAP, Adani, and Adobe. For my course, internships are very rarely provided by campus; we have to apply on our own.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good. The campus has a size of 215 acres. Which contains hostels, a library, an academic building, laboratories, a health center, a sports complex, a cafeteria, and a gymnasium. Facilities in the hostel were not too good, but we had to adjust for each room. There are three members, so the room is not so spacious. Each student is provided a study table with a chair, a bed, and a cupboard. The food available in the mess is not too good, but the food in the canteens is good.
Faculty: The faculty at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, are highly qualified and knowledgeable enough to teach us. My course is curriculum-relevant; it makes us ready for the current industry. But the management is very good with all the facilities. There will be midterms, quizzes, and endterms for each semester. If we study hard, we can easily pass the exams. The pass percentage is 30 percent.
Other: There are many extracurricular activities available, like sports facilities, events, clubs, and annual and technical festivals. There are also inter-NIT competitions. I have chosen this course because I am interested in civil engineering. Transportation is easily available from the campus to anywhere.

Civil is a good branch, you have so many interesting subjects to learn, many people choose to avoid giving civil a preference 'cause they think Civil me placement nahi hota' 'Construction site par kaam karna padega
