A cute and short story about a struggling engineer.
Placements: The placement percentage of our seniors is 63% and not sure about a further increase in it until the last semester of our seniors ends. Our super senior batch had a better placement ratio comparatively. It was 70% at that time. Placements and packages depend on the respective branch. A higher package is obviously offered to the CSE branch and decreases like that till the mining branch. A maximum of 19 LPA is offered till now. More than 14 LPA for circuital branches are offered only by government companies such as HPCL - 18 LPA, BPCL - 18 LPA, and GHEL have come recently.
Infrastructure: The library and classrooms are pretty neat and clean but the department seems old but still it's clean. Our college is actually small. Roads and maintenance are great. Facilities regarding studies are ultimate (pros, library, seniors, Ph.D. students). The hostel is a 10 from 2nd year. 1st year hostel is separate due to ragging problems which is good and safe for freshers. 1st year hostel is old and big which is given to 2 girls per room which looks like a home. Coming to the senior's block so called apartments are allowed for a single person per room which has a great ambiance.
Faculty: Senior pros are excellent but pros as freshers are a bit tough to reach student mindset. Everyone has expertise and knowledge in their core subject. The teaching quality is perfect. The updated course curriculum is good. The average passing is 35-40 out of 100 for every course opted. The course curriculum is somewhat vast but somehow manageable. It can be decreased by 2-3 courses. 8th sem has allowed students for a 6-month internship which gives industry experience for a fresher joining placements. This helps to increase placements in our college.
Other: I chose this course as I got it in the JoSAA location in the beginning but later realized this was the best course for getting lifetime settlement in government jobs. This is the only course where multiple options are available such as coding, it sector, private jobs in the score, government jobs, M.Teach, foreign studies, and what else. Traveling from the girl's hostel to my department is so far by cycle. No expectations regarding scholarships here from my side. Events are forever in this college. Axis, cell, aarohi, literature fest, and many more fests are conducted but organizing this fest requires money.

This is all you need to know about my college.
Placements: At VNIT Nagpur, for the EEE branch, the placement percentage is above 80-85%. The highest package is about 55 LPA, the lowest is about 5-6 LPA, and the average package is about 10-12 LPA. There are many top recruiting companies visiting our college. You can check out the college website for more information. I have no idea about the internship percentage till now, but there are students who get the internship in the third year. Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is well-developed. There are all sports facilities on the college campus. There is Wi-Fi service all over the college and also have the big central Library in the college. The library has the course book for all the years. There are all labs in the college and all facilities are present in the labs. There are big classroom complexes for the first year. The hostel facilities are good, enough to live in, and also have a TV room. All the medical facilities are available in the college.
Faculty: The teaching quality of all the teachers is good and well-qualified. The experience of the teachers is more than our age. They help you with their subjects any time you ask them. Semester exams are of good level, not too easy and not too hard. The passing marks are above 40 out of 100 in every subject.
Other: The campus life is enjoyable. There are many sports competitions held throughout the year. There are all types of clubs in the college like technical, dramatics, singing, etc. The anti-ragging is too strict in our college. The are many fests in the college.

Placements: The highest package offered during VNIT placements 2025 for the B.Tech program was 64 LPA. The average package offered was 15.54 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Google, DE Shaw, and Goldman Sachs. Top recruiting companies for internships are Google, DE Shaw, Schrodinger, Cisca, and Hilti.
Infrastructure: LAN ports are available in each hostel room. Out of 10 hostels, 8 are old, and the rest are newly constructed. Labs are well-equipped with technical assistance. Digital classrooms are available in respective departments as well as in common classroom complexes. The mess food is decent and hygienic. The night canteen is available until 3 AM. The private canteen will be closed at 7 PM. The health care center is available with a 24/7 ambulance facility. Indoor and outdoor activities, including football and cricket grounds, are available. New lawn tennis and basketball courts are also available.
Faculty: Faculty members are well-experienced, knowledgeable, and strict. Students have a good amount of free time to participate in extracurricular activities. Semester exams are conducted, and achieving a 7 CGPA is good, especially in branches like ECE and EEE. The pass percentage is around 90%.
Other: Courses related to industrial exposure and advanced technology should be introduced. The college hosts many events, particularly those related to clubs. There are 31 clubs at VNIT, including both technical and non-technical clubs. The total number of students, including UG and PG students, is 4,764. Free remission is available, depending on the annual family income.

This review provides an overall view about choosing VNIT.
Placements: As per my research, around 80 to 90 percent students get placed every year from our course. The highest package is around 64 Lacs per annum, the lowest is 8 Lacs per annum, and the average package is 13 Lacs per annum. Students start getting internships from early third year itself. Our college also runs an alumni association which makes placing students all over India.
Infrastructure: Every department has their Wi-Fi connection and they will provide a QR scanner to connect to the Wi-Fi, and especially in VNIT, the library is the center of attraction. It is embedded with a vast variety of books and a strong Wi-Fi connection also. The mess food was rated 4 out of 5. There is a special building named health center to take care of your health conditions and complexities. There is a huge sports complex where you can play an number of games. It also has a swimming pool built by the alumni association.
Faculty: Basically, except in a very rare case, teachers are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was far better when compared to others. Actually, in the first year, all branches have the same subjects. The semester exams in the college are a bit difficult, but the pass percentage changes relatively.
Other: When I was on my job of choosing a college through JoSAA, I have come to know that VNIT is a very well-known and reputed college, and especially my group, EEE, is known for better placements. There are several events like Cultnite, Freshers Party, Aarohi, Department Gathering, Institute Gathering.

VNIT is a dream come true college.
Placements: 85 to 90 percent of students get placed in the electrical department. The highest package may reach 25 lacs and the minimum may be up to 6 lacs; the average package is around 8 lacs. The top recruiting companies are Golden Reliance, Nvidia and many more. Getting an internship is a difficult task. You have to be at the top of the class with no backlogs and a CGPA of 9 to at least get eligible for internships. In a class of 120 students, 12 to 15 students get internships. Top roles offered may differ from company to company, as may core jobs.
Infrastructure: The campus has Wi-Fi available in campus. It is not available everywhere, but it is available in library classrooms departments common areas. There is no Wi-Fi facility in hostel. LAN is available in every room. classroom complex is a building which has 7 floors and is for classrooms only. Nothing else—seven floors, just classrooms. And every classroom is a smart classroom with 2 projectors, 1 smart board speaker, and a microphone system. Classrooms are huge; there is no need to worry about them. And departments also have classrooms. Labs are well-equipped. Come- on, it's a NIT; don't worry about the labs. They are well-equipped with every piece of equipment you will ever need. A multifloor library is situated inside campus with plenty of There are 8 to 10 hostels for boys and 2 for girls HB-2 is the best, with 10 floors and enough space to lift a canteen. Every hostel is good enough. There is a hospital in hostel area, which is completely free for students. You don't need to pay for anything—not consulting, not medicine. And every kind of doctor, from skin to teeth, is available with 24*7 ambulance. There is a main canteen and a night canteen available. With a decent amount of food options available,. An indoor sports complex a gym and a big field are available not only is this a football field, a cricket ground, a basketball court, a lawn tennis indoor tennis court, and a proper badminton court available,. It's a heaven for sports people.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified. And may help you if they are free. But mostly, you will have to figure things out on your own. Senior professors are quite hard to approach; assistant professors are your go-to people if you want any kind of help regarding academics. Most professors read PowerPoints in class. You will have to teach yourself before exams. The course is quite out of date but new subjects that are relevant now have been added to the course, so it's a 50. courses will make you industry-ready. But in the end, it's up to you. Semester exams are hard. They will challenge you and there is no preparation leave to help you out. There will be no breaks between papers in the end semester exam, and two papers on the same day in the middle semester exam, so you will have to fight for it. There is a lot of crowding for the re-exam and many students have backlogs. It's nothing new around here. Professors will show no mercy.
Other: I chose this course just because this was the best college I was getting in counseling, so I chose it. My course is very difficult Electrical engineering is difficult so before choosing this course, please think about it. I just wish the timetable was better for the college and exam schedule was a bit more student-friendly. You don't want to miss any of the fests. Arohi is a cultural fest, and Axis is a technical fest. DG IG are department gathering and institute gatherings, which are the best events of all. You will find crowd from all around INDIA in this college.
