Review of VNIT Nagpur - Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology.
Placements: In the ECE course, up to my knowledge, 93% of students get placed. In the mechanical course, 90-90% of students who attended for placements got placed. My mentor from the ECE course got placed in Nvidia. I know my mentor got internships at Google through our IV Lab college club.
Infrastructure: It has a huge campus of about 256 acers, and we need to travel here by bicycle. It has well-structured buildings and a nice classroom complex for UG. For PG courses, it is building a complex now. I am a day scholar, but my friends told me that for 1st year the hostel is in the old building only, with two sharing rooms for girls and 3 sharing rooms.
Faculty: Teachers are amazing and helpful. They took doubts so seriously and attended personally. We have tutorial sessions for personal doubts and question-solving. One of the subjects is communication skills, so it is beneficial, as I have experienced.
Other: We have a mentorship program usually in the 3rd semester, and seniors are allotted to 1st-year students, which is so amazing. We do not have to go to professors directly, and mentors are there so we can ask our most relevant doubts to them. These mentors last long after the degree ended.

By considering all the parameters I think college is good but lacks in placements a little bit.
Placements: Till 24 Jan 2025 out of 111 students who registered for placement, among them 65 got placed. The highest package is 64 LPA(CTC), and the lowest is 6 LPA. According to data provided on the official website of VNIT, the average package for ECE is 12 LPA, and the median is also 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of college is quite impressive. All departments have proper buildings and well-equipped labs with high-tech instruments. Library is also good, one can find almost all books related to our courses. Food available in mess and canteen is okay type.
Faculty: Course curriculum of the college is a little bit tough. Teachers are helpful and supportive. Semester exams are tough as there is relatively marking in exams. Pass percentage changes according to course. But college provides summer term to clear our back.
Other: Course should be updated and should be relevant to current world scenario. There should be enough facilities available for students to develop skills according to their interests. Events and fest are quite good, campus is too green and temperature in college is less as compared to city (Nagpur).

Life at VNIT in a few words .
Placements: In general, the placement percentage in our course is 90% and as we are hit the recession during our pass out batch, around 75% of the people got placed. The highest package offered was around 64 lacs, and average package was 11 lacs. The top recruiting companies are Citi bank, Texas instruments, Varroc technology, etc. Around 40% of our batch got internship opportunities. Top roles offered include software development engineer, data analyst, member of technical staff, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the academic buildings and hostels is very decent. Academic buildings are provided with both traditional and modern teaching equipment. In hostels, we are provided with basic amenities like water, electricity and internet 24/7. Sports equipment and medical facilities are also available. For medical facilities, we have one health centre where we have qualified doctors. The quality of food served in the hostel mess was not great but decent.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable but one thing I don't like is the curriculum of the course, which is, I say, outdated and not on par with industrial trends. The examinations are average; I can say the past percentage is around 90% and a week before the examination, preparation is good enough to get a decent score.

A decent college in the centre of the city Nagpur.
Placements: About 90 percent of the students are placed in 2023. The highest package is about 64 LPA, the lowest package is 5 Lacs per annum and the average package is about 13 to 14 Lacs per annum. The top recruiters are Accenture, ACC, Qualcomm, etc. Roles offered are developer, bug finder, etc.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is best here and the labs are also well equipped. The hostel room is too big for two members, food is average, college has its own health center, which is a good thing and about sports, there is a good cricket and football ground and synthetic courts for badminton, etc.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and teaching is also very good. They are very skilled and experienced. The curriculum is also very relevant to the modern era. Students are ready to get a job. Semester exams are quite difficult and the pass percentage is about 80 percent.
Other: Because I am interested in this course, I chose ECE. The best thing about my course is that it has grown in recent times and in the future. All is well. There will be so many events and we have to manage study time and extracurriculars.

Our college has good infrastructure.
Placements: More than 93% of students got placed in our college. Around 146 got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered by Oracle is 64 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Oracle, De Shaw, Goldman Sachs, Google, Texas Instruments, Samsung, etc. More than 55% of students got internships in companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, Texas Instruments, etc. Top roles offered are software developer, project manager, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college provides us with all facilities. It is Wi-Fi enabled. The lab facilities are good. Labs have the best equipment and machines. They have sitting chairs. They are equipped with air-conditioners. The hostel facilities are good. They provide LAN in every room. Its speed is up to 1 Gbps. There is a common hall. We can play carrom, table tennis, and chess in the hostel. The hostel has a volleyball court and a badminton court. Our college has a canteen. The hostel has a night canteen. Its timing is from 9:00 pm - 3:30 am. During the exam, the timing is extended to 4:00 am. The food served in the mess is not much good.
Faculty: Our department teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They are not much helpful. Some teachers are good. The teaching quality is up to the mark. They don't have good teaching skills. Students attend classes only for attendance. The course curriculum is not much relevant as there are some subjects or practicals that are useless for students in the future. Semester exams are good, but teachers give very low marks. In some subjects, the pass percentage is 25%. The pass percentage is 35%.
Other: This is the second highest branch after CSE in our college. The best thing about this course is that you will get a chance to sit for core companies as well as non-core companies. Almost 98% of companies of CSE allow you to sit in placements. Our college organises many events like Axis, the tech fest, Arohi, the cultural fest, literary fest, etc. Our campus is large and beautiful. Our college has greenery. Our college has an indoor badminton court, table tennis court, yoga room, gymnasium, lawn tennis court, swimming pool, cricket ground, football ground, and volleyball court.

It is a good place to get good college life.
Placements: Around 70-80% of students get placed in our college. The average salary package is 10 LPA and the highest salary package is 24 LPA to 32 LPA. The recruiters mostly involve banks and finance companies rather than product-based companies. Placements are not up to the mark in our college.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facilities are available in classrooms and hostels. Some courses are provided with hands-on training. Hostels are good. Sports equipment is provided in hostels. Mess is good.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are knowledgeable, especially about some courses. Some subjects are relative to the real world and some are outdated and need modification. Exams are held in every month as sessional 1, sessional 2, and end-semester. Students need to work hard to get a good CGPA.

It is a great college, growing rapidly in terms of placements and academics.
Placements: Placements in 2022 are very good. About 6–8 people from ECE got a salary package of 64 LPA, which was offered by Oracle. Companies that offered on-campus placements include Oracle and other well-known companies that offered a salary package of 10 LPA to 40 LPA. The scenario looks very optimistic, and placements keep increasing every year.
Infrastructure: The old department has fine classrooms, but the labs are up to date. All computers have extremely decent specifications, and various high-tech equipments are available here. The hostel, HB2, is good for second-year students. Rooms are spacious. The mess is fine.
Faculty: Electronics and communication engineering is a well-known department of VNIT, which recently separated from electronics and communication science. We have received accreditation from Washington Accord for 3 years. The education here is excellent. Professors are genuinely interested in their subjects, and the course curriculum has been updated this year. Exams are easy and concept-based, so you won't get stressed. You can choose a course here if you have a genuine interest in that.
Other: I had the choice of choosing between IT at an IIIT and ECE at VNIT. It was challenging, but I chose VNIT. Our college is excellent. Seniors are like brothers and sisters. The clubs and fests are good.

Review of VNIT Nagpur - Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology.
Placements: The percentage of students who got placed in my course is around 95-97%. The highest package offered is about 50 LPA, and the lowest package is around 8 LPA. Texas Instruments, Goldman Sachs, and Oracle are some of the top recruiting companies. Very few students got internships, around 10-20%. Roles offered include both software and hardware ones, but the placements are mainly provided in the software field.
Infrastructure: The facilities for our course include a computer lab, a newly-built signals and systems lab, electronic devices lab and much more. All the departments here have their own libraries. Smart lecture halls are available, along with AC and smart TV. The quality of the hostel is average, and the rooms are too small for two people to live in. But they are a bit modern. The food available is edible. Medical facilities are good. Sports and games are quite good.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. There are many young as well as senior professors. The curriculum doesn't make students industry-ready. Students have to do self-study to get industry-ready. Semester exams are average.
Other: The best thing about the course is that many companies provide opportunities for ECE students. Many events are held here. Many clubs are available, including technical clubs, social clubs, dramatic clubs, etc.
