CLAT 2027 Registration: Process, Dates, Eligibility, Documents, and How to Apply

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is the most important law entrance exam for candidates looking for admission to the NLUs in India. The Consortium of NLUs is expected to release the CLAT Notification in July. As per the previous year's trend, the CLAT Registration Process will begin on August 1, 2026. Candidates will be able to apply for the CLAT Exam by visiting the CLAT official website; i.e. consortiumofnlus.ac.in. 

Candidates must note that only those who submit the application form on time will be allowed to appear in the CLAT Exam 2027. Only those candidates who submit the Application Form on or before the deadline will be issued CLAT Admit Card. Without a Hall Ticket, candidates will not be allowed to appear for the test.

To complete the CLAT 2027 registration successfully, keep the following scanned documents ready in the prescribed format

CLAT 2027 Eligibility Criteria

It is very important to understand the CLAT Eligibility Criteria before applying. Check the CLAT UG/PG Eligibility below

UG CLAT 2027 Eligibility Criteria: 

 Candidates appearing for CLAT UG 2027 can check the eligibility below: 

  • Candidates must ensure to have the following minimum percentage of marks in their qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination):
  • Forty-five percent (45%) marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories
  • Forty Percent (40%) marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
  • Candidates who may be appearing for their qualifying examination in March/ April, 2027 are also eligible to appear for the CLAT 2027 examination. However, they shall be required to produce evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission"

PG CLAT 2027 Eligibility Criteria: 

 Candidates appearing for CLAT PG 2027 can check the eligibility below:

  • An LL.B. Degree or an equivalent examination with a minimum of Fifty percent (50%) marks or its equivalent grade
  • In case of candidates belonging to General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI categories and Forty-Five percent (45%) marks or its equivalent grade
  • In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories
  • Candidates appearing for their qualifying examination in April/May 2027 are also eligible to apply.

How to Make Corrections in CLAT Application Form 2027?

The Consortium gives candidates the opportunity to make changes to the CLAT Application Form. The CLAT Application Correction Window will be opened for at least two days once the registration process is over. No, CLAT is not compulsory to take admission in Ishaan Institute of Law. The institute offers admission into the courses such as LLB, BA LLB and LLM based on the merit achieved by the candidates in their last qualifying exam. Application process is compulsory and it can be conducted online/offline.
