The results of AP EAMCET 2018 were declared by Human Resource Development Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao on May 2. The first rank in the exam’s engineering stream has been secured by Bhogi Suraj Krishna. Suraj also topped JEE Mains 2018 exam, the results for which were declared on April 30. He is followed by Maitreya and Pinnamara Reddy Lokeshwar Reddy at the second and third position respectively.
Jangala Sai Priya is the topper of AP EAMCET’s 2018 Agriculture stream. Ganjikunta Srivastav and Koduru Sri Harsha have bagged the second and the third rank respectively.
In 2018, around 1,90,922 aspirants took the exam for engineering. Out of these, 1,38,017 candidates qualified AP EAMCET. This year, the pass percentage has witnessed a dip at 72.28%. While in the agricultural stream, 73,373 students appeared for the exam. Out of these, 63,883 were able to qualify the exam. The pass percentage stood at 87.6.
Overall, more than 2.7 lakh students registered for the exam. Of these, 1,99, 309 applied for engineering and around 76,686 for agriculture and medical stream. Around 8,529 candidates have been not given ranks even after qualifying AP EAMCET 2018. The reason is that these students failed to clear their intermediate (Class XII) examination.
